“Amazing support and usability”
Pros
Right from the start, this has been the most user-friendly software I've ever worked with. It handles everything we need, from simple note-taking to billing and it really covers just about everything you could ask for. Having a dedicated customer service contact is a huge plus and whenever we submit a ticket, we get a response almost immediately if there's a question or issue. It really takes a lot off our plate so we can spend more time focusing on our patients.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. It's an excellent product, very user-friendly and the vendor has been wonderful to work with as well. Anytime we need help, they're quick to respond and very supportive. Overall, it's been excellent.

Pros
Getting up to speed with this product didn't take long and the insurance billing visibility and reporting are very detailed. The system feels simple to use and the vendor is open to considering client recommendations for future goals and process needs.
Cons
Most of the support is handled through task tracking inside the system which does work well but reaching someone by phone can be difficult. A lot of effort has clearly gone into making the insurance workflow as smooth as possible. That said cash payments to rendering physicians still need improvement especially with more reporting around that area.

Pros
Keeping everything up to date is part of the package which has been really helpful. The system is user-friendly, stays compliant and having support included in the price adds a lot of value.
Cons
Once in a while someone new seems to get assigned to my billing team and they are not always sure how to handle things right away. The needed details are usually already in the patient's account but they do not always check first. It has only happened a couple of times over the past 10 years and each time the issue was fixed and corrected quickly.

It's not a perfect system but I know there are people at the company I can reach out to when I need help figuring things out. I've built a really good relationship with the team members who support me the most and that makes a big difference.
Cons
At times, there are some pretty common-sense features or functions that feel like they should already be built in but they just aren't available right now.

Cons

Pros
Using Genesis has been a real plus because the system is simple to work with and it helps flag whether notes meet insurance and Medicare compliance requirements. It also includes an ICD-10 search tool built right in and lets you know if the ICD-10 code you're using is actually billable. Since it's web-based, everything is backed up automatically and I can log in from anywhere as long as I have an internet connection.
Cons
At the beginning, learning the software was a bit overwhelming which is pretty normal with any new system. My staff and I needed a few weeks to get comfortable with Genesis. There are quite a few buttons and a lot of them aren't features I end up using. Still, once you know which ones matter for your workflow, getting around the software becomes pretty simple.

Getting answers doesn't take long and the system is simple to work with. Customer service usually gets back to us pretty quickly and the monthly check-ins with our coach do a good job of keeping us on track as providers. The training before going live with the program was also very valuable and made the transition much more beneficial.
Cons
The extra fees tied to collections, along with the technology fees, are a downside.

There are a lot of different functions built into this software which is something I really appreciate. It covers so much in one place, from scheduling and billing to sending notifications so there is a lot you can do with it.
Cons
Because the program offers so many features, it definitely takes time to get comfortable using it. You have to stay on top of what you've learned and sometimes go back and relearn parts of it.

Being cloud-based and simple has made a big difference for me and it was tailored to match the way I actually practice. That matters a lot to me today. I just don't have the time to deal with some of the other products out there.
Cons
