“Keeps pace with my practice”
Pros
Since 2009 this software has grown right alongside my practice. It has continued to evolve over the years and stays current with real-time changes in technology.
Cons
It performs best when used with Google which isn't always possible. A fast WiFi connection or landline internet works best, while hotspots really aren't ideal.

Pros
Right away the layout felt visually simple and comfortable to move through without being overloaded with medical terminology. It stays simple to read and makes sense from both the provider side and the patient side.

“friendly onboarding and stellar support”
Pros
Genesis has a very user-friendly system that makes everything simpler, from scheduling appointments to handling documentation. The rollout went more smoothly than I expected because their onboarding process was thorough and well organized. Customer support has been one of the best parts.. quick to respond, knowledgeable and always ready to help a little extra when needed. The training materials are clear and the team is genuinely kind and supportive which made the whole startup process feel a lot less intimidating.
Cons
Getting used to any new EHR comes with a bit of a learning curve at first. Adjusting to different workflows is not always simple when you're already busy managing a practice. Even so, Genesis guided us well through the setup and was there with support at every stage so although it took some time before everything felt natural, we never felt like we had to figure it out by ourselves.

“Helpful staff controls”
Pros
The task manager works really well and the built-in checks and balances are useful for keeping staff accountable and the workflow organized.
Cons
It didn't feel very friendly for a cash-based practice since the software seems designed more for offices that bill insurance. The ledger was also difficult to read and it would have been much better if credits and balances were shown in red and green.

“cloud access and connected billing”
Pros
Being cloud-based makes it convenient to access from anywhere which has been a big plus. The built-in billing and financial tools are also really valuable. Another benefit is that a lot of my colleagues already use Genesis so there's a solid community of like-minded clinicians around it.
Cons
Our onboarding happened during a period of transition within the Genesis ecosystem so there were definitely some growing pains as the company scaled and worked on integrating different business platforms. On top of that, switching to any new EHR comes with challenges. At this point though, we've made it through that rough patch and are in a much better place. It feels really positive now and we're expecting a very productive 2025 and beyond.

“cloud-based freedom for notes”
Pros
Having a cloud-based EHR was the top priority for me. I was over being stuck at the office late just to finish my notes. Genesis checked that box and it's clear they've been doing this longer than anyone else.

Pros
There are features and capabilities built into the software that sounded promising but I could never get them to function properly even after going through a second setup months after the first one was finished. It ended up wasting six months of my time along with a lot of my office manager's time.

“compliant notes and caring support”
Pros
Our chiropractors have had a really positive experience with the note system because it's simple to use, helps keep documentation and coding more compliant and the customer service has been excellent.
Cons
I'd still like to see better automation for statements once a note is finished and sent to claims. Ideally there would be a way to set a client's statement to automatically go out by email. If that can't happen before the claim is processed, it would still help to have the statement automatically emailed instead of generating a PDF or print file that has to be saved first and then manually sent through email.

Pros
The daily patient notes look professional and are simple to pull up and taking payments through Fortis is very convenient. The training team has been fantastic and the new-patient process is much faster and more efficient now. It's also really helpful that the doctor has better access to the financial side of the practice and can view the claims workbench.
Cons
The font size is too small and some pages feel overcrowded. We also need individual appointment receipts that show only that day's diagnosis and procedure codes. The only workaround we've found prints every previous visit as well and the text comes out incredibly tiny and difficult to read.

Pros
Being web-based has been a huge plus because I can handle work from home and still have all my files right in front of me. I also really appreciate how well it connects with the major processing and texting companies which makes everything feel pretty smooth. It would be even better if they had their own built-in options for that so we could save both money and time.
Cons

Pros
Task management works well, it's cloud-based, it connects with Blue IQ and having multiple locations on the same platform is definitely useful.
Cons
The Blue IQ integration hasn't been nearly as good as it was with ChiroTouch. The accounting side is lacking and the platform feels inconsistent in both how it works and how processes are handled. Onboarding was incredibly stressful and setting up macros by an entire note "type" instead of individually has been frustrating. “Good fit for busy clinics”
Pros
Running a busy chiropractic office is much more manageable with Genesis because it covers all the core tasks we need day to day. It also connects well with outside services which helps a lot with appointment reminders, X-ray software and handling online statements and payments.
Cons
It is not the best match for a smaller office since it seems to work better the larger the practice is. Another thing to keep an eye on is the pricing because each add-on comes with its own monthly charge so it is worth reviewing invoices regularly to make sure you are actually using everything you are paying for. The other downside was support since getting a live person could sometimes take a while. Even after using the service for more than five years, there was never a direct phone number to a specific representative so I never really knew who my first point of contact would be.

Pros
I can create tasks, assign them to different users and track follow-up all of which has been really useful. It also helps that quick stops can be added, treatment plan scheduling is much more manageable and billing becomes pretty simple once you learn how it works.
Cons
One frustrating part is that when opening a different tab, it usually needs to be refreshed before it displays properly. If a tab stays open too long, it starts glitching and you have to refresh it and pull that patient up again. Appointment types also are not grouped or linked so if a visit includes two different scheduled items, both appointments have to be canceled instead of just one. Another issue is that quick stops do not automatically appear when the patient chart is opened which makes them easy to miss.

“everything our practice needed”
Pros
After six years of using Genesis EHR in a busy chiropractic office, I can honestly say it changed the way we run our practice. We're a larger clinic handling mostly cash patients along with some PI cases and before switching, we had experience with several well-known EHR systems, both server-based and cloud-based. We sat through demos for nearly every option on the market but none of them offered the full set of features we were looking for until we came across Genesis. It covers everything we need to keep the office running efficiently, including treatment plan management, appointment scheduling, detailed reporting plus built-in systems and automation. Documentation is very quick and the cloud platform works really well with our Mac computers and iPads. Another big plus has been the support team, who have consistently been available whenever questions or concerns come up.

“Packed with useful features”
Pros
There are so many features of Genesis that we really like using at our office. One of the things I love is how well it connects the schedule and gives the doctor immediate access to notes. The scheduling is linked to our online system and Review Wave makes it quite easy for our patients to communicate with us. We also use their task bar to stay in touch within the office, which is great because its HIPAA-compliant. Plus, we can communicate directly with the Genesis team or billing to streamline any questions or concerns.
Cons
Genesis has a lot of features but we only use about 25 of them. One area thats been a bit tricky for us is the intake process as it is not the easiest for our patients to navigate and it often takes longer than we expected. Another issue is that the page transitions can be slow because multiple processes are happening at once. To help with this, we ended up upgrading our computers RAM to 16GB since the 8GB we had before just wasn't cutting it. That did help speed things up a bit.

“Connected scheduling and communication”
Pros
One thing our office really appreciates about Genesis is how many useful features it brings together in one system. The scheduling works well and the doctor can pull up notes right away which helps a lot during the day. It also connects nicely with our online scheduling and Review Wave making it much more convenient for patients to stay in touch and communicate clearly. On top of that, we're able to message each other inside the office through the task bar in a HIPAA-compliant way and we can also reach the Genesis team or billing department there which helps streamline questions and concerns.
Cons
It comes with a huge amount of functionality and honestly we probably only use about a quarter of what's included. The intake process has been one of the harder parts for us because patients seem to struggle with navigating it and getting through everything quickly. There are also a lot of processes happening at the same time so moving from one page to the next is not as fast as I'd like. We ended up upgrading our computers to 16GB of RAM because 8GB just wasn't enough to keep up.
