frustrating and not simple

Pros

At least it pushed me to stop wasting time and switch to a different product. My experience with this one was so bad that moving on to something else felt like the better option.

Cons

Pretty much everything was a problem: usability, support, pricing, design and more. Nothing about this product felt simple or simple in any way.

clear billing and stellar support

Pros

Getting started with this software has been a really positive experience. It's user-friendly, works well with other apps and the customer support and training have been excellent. One thing I really appreciate is how clearly it shows what has been paid and what hasn't, without making me dig through countless separate reports. The system handles all of that for me which saves a lot of time and frustration. It also feels like a very good value for what it offers.

Cons

There is a small learning curve at first which is pretty normal with any new software. But after getting familiar with how everything works, the system is truly impressive.

fast performance and powerful tracking

Pros

Compared with some other chiropractic software I've looked at, Genesis came in at a lower price while still feeling like a higher-quality product. The speed is one of the best parts.. every action happens instantly, with no lag at all, almost like working in an offline program. It also includes a wide range of tools for tracking patient information and managing schedules which has been really valuable.

Cons

One thing I'm less enthusiastic about is that the system can feel packed with more features than most practices will regularly need. I can see consistent use for maybe 70% of what's included but the other 30% seems geared toward rare situations. My team and I mainly rely on Genesis for scheduling exam visits, adjustments, reports, rescheduling, canceling, setting appointments and reviewing patient care plans and finances. Even with all of that, we're still only using a small slice of the full platform. Because of that, there's a pretty steep learning curve around many of the tools and a lot of what I was trained on hasn't actually been necessary in day-to-day use.

reliable account tracking

Pros

After getting proper training on the program, keeping up with every single account and following their status becomes very simple.

Cons

Like any system, it does have glitches from time to time and unfortunately when that happens I have to go in and correct things manually one account at a time.

comprehensive support for practices

Pros

Whether you want to keep things basic or build out something more advanced, this product can be tailored either way. The support team actually responds which makes a big difference and it feels like there's a full team behind you helping with everything from running the practice and dealing with insurance carriers to keeping patients on track. I honestly haven't come across another system this comprehensive. A lot of the features can be customized to match our specific needs which has been a huge plus. I'm also really impressed by the monthly calls and sometimes even more frequent ones, with practice profitability coaches who help you get the most out of the system while keeping stress down. They've also kept the platform compliant and made the transition to the newer coding system feel very simple. Overall, they've done an excellent job helping us spend more time working in the practice instead of constantly working on the practice.

Cons

The only downside is that we're on the west coast while they're on the east coast so the three-hour time difference can sometimes slow down responses when we have questions.

all-in-one practice management win

Pros

Everything I need is included and it's all done really well. The practice management side is outstanding especially the task system because it helps make sure patients don't slip through the cracks, keeps staff accountable and makes everything simple to track. The reporting is excellent and customizable which matters a lot for me since I run not just a chiropractic office but also a wellness center with several different disciplines. There's even a radar chart that gives me a quick snapshot of every area of the practice within seconds at any time. Scheduling and reminders are very user-friendly and thoughtfully built. What really pulls it all together though, is the team. They respond quickly, know the system inside and out and even give access to the programmers if there's feedback or ideas that could improve something for your specific office or for the platform overall. They're on site and genuinely open to suggestions. I honestly can't say enough good things about it!

Cons

I'm genuinely very happy with it. This is the third company I've used and at last I have exactly what I need to run my practice.

innovative support and training

Pros

The customer support and training have been excellent. The leadership team keeps pushing to innovate and comes up with solutions to problems I hadn't even realized needed attention.

Cons

Communication through the ticketing process feels a bit buggy. There's also so much included that it can be overwhelming to figure out how to make use of everything. It would help to have someone assess the practice first, then point out which tools are the most relevant and explain how to use them properly.

Flexible web-based workflow

Pros

Being able to customize the platform the way we need has been a big plus and the billing team working behind the scenes has been really helpful. Since it's web-based, I can log in from home and keep working on files without having to rely on bulky servers sitting in the office.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is built-in note macros and compliance staff available directly through them. The system does offer a lot of flexibility but getting it set up the right way really depends on the user.

complete access from anywhere

Pros

Everything about the software feels very user-friendly and it offers a really complete set of tools. Being able to pull up my notes and schedule anywhere I have an internet connection is a huge advantage.

Cons

There's so much built into it that I know I'm probably not using it to its full potential. Another challenge is that the training videos are based on older versions of the software which can make it harder at times to teach ourselves how to fix issues.

efficient patient tracking

Pros

Communication between my staff and the Genesis team has been clear and effective. The system does a good job of working in your favor by giving you useful patient details, including when someone was last seen so it's much harder to lose track of follow-ups.

Cons

There are quite a few tabs so it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. After you learn where everything is and what you need to do, it starts to make a lot more sense.

helpful notes and team access

Pros

Having clear access to patient notes and the team has been really helpful and there's always a record showing what's happening on a patient ticket.

Cons

The software has so much built into it that finding everything can take time. What I need is usually there but when I need it right away, it sometimes takes longer to locate since I mostly work within the areas of the software I use most often.

Work from anywhere convenience

Pros

Being cloud-based is a big advantage because it lets me access my work from anywhere at any time.

Cons

I do wish it included online portal integration for intake paperwork so my staff or I could review and verify everything instead of entering it manually. An in-office subjective check-in option would also make the process much more organized.

poor support and wasted time

Pros

Scheduling is simple and the option to color-code different appointment types is helpful.

Cons

Support has been inconsistent. We've asked for help with things in the past and used to get assistance but lately it feels like our team has been passing tasks back to us instead which takes up our time. It makes me question why we're paying for their help at all.

smooth billing and practice sync

Pros

The connection between the practice management side and billing is completely smooth and transparent.

Cons

The EMR feels pretty basic. It would be much better with a more powerful EMR that lets you create x-ray reports, attorney narratives and a more polished daily note that can be shared with other providers.

all-in-one support that saves time

Pros

Between the online tools, scheduling, billing, bookkeeping and the credit card processor integration, this software covers a lot of what we need in one place. The staff has also been fantastic and has saved us both the time and cost of constantly hiring and training someone new.

Cons

The only issue I've run into is getting the alert system to work exactly the way I want it to.

Pros

Being able to customize the system and set alerts and reminders for almost anything really helps the whole staff stay on top of tasks and get things done. It also comes with integrated POS inventory which is a big plus.

Cons

There still isn't a standalone mobile app so using it on phones or tablets means going through a web browser and that can be pretty slow.

fast setup and excellent support

Pros

Running three chiropractic offices, I was honestly concerned about switching to new software but the rollout ended up being much quicker than expected. The system is fast, simple to use and the learning curve only took a few days for our team. Charlie has been outstanding with customer support throughout the process. After 20 years in practice, this has easily been one of the best investments I've made for both my time and money.

Cons

When I first got started, I went through all of the tutorial videos and it felt like too much information at once.

Responsive support and friendly design

Pros

The platform is very user-friendly and the standout part has easily been the support from the Genesis team. They respond to questions and requests very quickly which has made a big difference.

friendly support and simple workflow

Pros

Right from the start, the platform has been very user-friendly and simple to work with. Their customer service is honestly one of the best parts.. everyone is consistently kind, helpful and willing to assist. If the person you reach doesn't have the answer right away, they make sure to connect you with someone who does.

Cons

My only real complaint is that the platform doesn't work very well with Apple iPads. I'd really like to be able to use an iPad in my adjusting bays.

Pros

Billing Precision from Genesis is very simple to use and the billing team does an outstanding job of making sure claims get paid. They're incredibly efficient and honestly the best.
