“Not Happy
Pros
nothing was good in the experience
Cons
onboarding was disordganized. the person Adam who sold it to us was a liar told us it was a month to month contract we were dumb and didnt read fine print . After 2 weeks we realized most of what we needed it to do for a med management psychiatric tele health office it could not do. When we tried to cancel after the two weeks like we were told we could do we were told no you have to pay one year . We went back to valant which is much better for tele health practice , even our admin , secretaries , biller hated tebra in comparison. We were forced to pay for something we never used for a whole year. We tried finding Adam and were told he no longer workered there which later we found out was a lie. We called a bunch of different p[eople trying to get them to understand we were told we could cancel anytime and how this was just not right for our office , the front desk we have virtually could not even see pts checking in as we were told. Then they kept lying saying there was no records of our calls. They listed an employee of ours as the account admin so when we tried to take features off and cancel them to make it cheaper we were told we were not admin? ? Meanwhile it our company. The whole thing was a nightmare. Best part we canceled last year and they are currently emailing us for more money !!!! Saying of you didnt cancel in time and have to pay for more months ???? They are crazy and desperate , they sneak hidden cost out of the blue. We literally canceled 2 weeks after we tried it . We also called several times after canceling it. Our email Valant may not be perfect but they are not crooks and scam artists. Stay far far away .

“Slow or non existent customer support
Pros
Nothing to note, as we are the billing company and just print out reports
Cons
Their customer support is slow or not helpful. It's literally a link to a KB article, but no assistance to help underlying issues. I am still waiting over 2 weeks on a support ticket and I ping them every 3 days to see if there are updates, but NO replies at all.

“It has gotten worse over the years
Pros
The thing I like the most is that the Kareo team was keen to understand the requirements specific to a mental health practice, both from a business and functional perspective.
Cons
The customer service they provide is undoubtedly the worst in the industry. The process they have for deactivating a provider is very annoying and time-consuming. I have spent up to 2 hours on the phone with them just to deactivate a provider.

Pros
I have nothing good to say about this product.
Cons
To date, Kareo (now Tebra) has been the worst company I have worked with. I am a Kareo customer, and our clinics switched to Tebra on 11/23. However, Kareo has still not properly transferred our data. Customer support staff is unresponsive, and I can't get a solution from anyone.

“The product is terrible regardless of the branding
Pros
The contract interface is visually appealing but that's about it.
Cons
It's difficult to even list all the issues. The scheduling software frequently drops appointments, the customer service is incompetent, the billing reports are inadequate, leading to missed claims and the system crashes regularly. They make grand promises before you make a purchase, but I am still waiting for things that were supposed to be done within a couple of months after signing up. They promise callbacks that rarely happen, and it's nearly impossible to speak to a manager over the phone. They changed their name from Kareo to Tebra due to their terrible reputation, but the product remains just as terrible. I apologize for the rant, but I am very much exhausted from dealing with them. I have reached my breaking point.

“Problems have only increased after the pandemic
Pros
Compared to the system I used before the pandemic, this one is superior. It offered direct phone support, free onboarding and training for each new employee (up to one hour). Also the ease of use is there with proper guidance and training. The amount of information packed into this software is extensive, and it takes years to become an expert. Therefore, discontinuing training and assistance is not a good and acceptable decision.
Cons
There is no direct contact with a human via phone. All customer service representative assistance comes in the form of an email to a single person who is likely overwhelmed and takes days to respond. The training videos are outdated and don't align with the current software versions in use. Essentially, for $300 to $400 a month, you are left to figure things out on your own.

“Customer support is non-existent
Pros
Currently, there isn't much to talk about. Still I would like to mention that the notes feature is satisfactory, but so are the documents in Microsoft Word.
Cons
It is a massive issue that I cannot collect payments from patients. Their customer care has been very poor in the past and it takes them weeks to respond. There have been instances where I left a review, and they called me immediately, which doesn't reflect well on their part.

“Not a great option for Medical Practices
Pros
I really like its interface, pretty easy to navigate the windows to handle billing.
Cons
Terminating services with them is very challenging. It is not possible to do it online. When I call, they claim it is terminated, but then they contradict themselves, continue to bill me and even send me to collections. We terminated the service because we couldn't find a competent outside biller who would use their software. We contacted them, and they provided us with three names. We tried two of them, but it resulted in a significant loss of time and money. Eventually, we had to handle the billing in-house until we could switch software and find an outside company to handle it.

Pros
I've found the EHR to be quite user-friendly and easy to navigate, which makes my daily tasks much smoother. However, I've encountered some glitches on the website, and it's been frustrating that there's no support available when these issues come up.
Cons
The customer service is terrible. When the website malfunctions, there's no one to talk to. I have been waiting for over a week for them to fix my website. Suddenly, my online booking stopped working, my picture disappeared and my title became incorrect. When I call daily, they have no one capable of helping and just tell me to wait for an email.

Pros
As a Practice Owner and Therapist, I have found Kareo Medical Software to be user-friendly and efficient. It smoothly sorts everything from documentation to billing which allows me to focus more on patient care and less on administrative tasks. I highly recommend Kareo/Tebra to fellow practitioners who are in search of a comprehensive software solution. Furthermore, it is very affordable!

Pros

Cons
The change in format and colors from Kareo to Tebra was a bit difficult to adjust to. As a visual person, I relied on the colors when navigating the system. Pros
The claims reports are good and they are clear and easy to understand.
Cons
Where do I even begin? The billing process is a joke. Each claim line counts as a claim in the monthly total, contrary to what the salesperson repeatedly mentioned about per patient date of service. The training was supposed to involve weekly check-ins and actual training sessions. However, our trainer only did one session, and we never heard from her again. When we raised our concerns to customer service, we explained all the issues, lack of training, ineffective communication with the trainer who directed us to online resources we had already explored, enrollment errors that resulted in nearly $1000 extra charges in one month, and more. The supervisor acknowledged the training should have been better but mentioned that the trainer wouldn't face any consequences. There was no adjustment on fees despite not receiving the promised training in writing. They suggested filing a case with accounting for potential fee refunds, but it has been over six months without any response. Overall, the reports are incomplete, as I can't generate a detailed A/R report that includes both insurance and patient information on the same printout. The system tends to lag when switching screens IT confirmed it's not our systems but Kareo itself. It's frustrating that we can't perform all tasks in a cloud-based system. Apparently, the front desk and providers are on the cloud-based side, while billers and accountants operate on the desktop side. By now, this should be fully cloud-based, as other systems figured it out years ago.
