“Good for nothing

Pros

I appreciated its usability; however, some days it takes hours to order a single medication, like today.

Cons

On days when I can't log in, and 'support' just says they're working on it. Then the same thing happens a week later. Extremely slow.

Maybe I missed the option for a tutorial on how to use MDToolbox effectively? It took me some time to figure out how to renew, adjust dosages, and understand alerts.

It is really user-friendly for us and meets all of the federal requirements for e-prescribing programs.

The speed is an issue. Making global changes like switching a batch of prescriptions from active to historical requires a page reload each time. This makes the process very sluggish.

Initially setting up the system can be a bit challenging, and there are occasional issues with missing or misplacing records that are out of date order.

Clinicians should be able to assign prescriptions to other prescribers within the practice from their own account. It's frustrating that this feature isn't available. APRNs and PAs in Texas can't prescribe CII and need to set these up for their supervising physicians. Currently, our APRNs have to use a staff account, which leads to frequent errors with assigned pharmacies. It would be better to require a selection every time instead of automatically populating the last used pharmacy.

Only being able to look up external medication history for two years or less? That's kinda rough. For long-term patients, it'd be awesome to have a bit more history to reference without switching systems. It gets the job done, but more depth here would make it a lot better.

The drug database on MD Toolbox is next-level. It remembers pharmacies, common prescriptions, basically, it's got your back on the usual go-tos. The comprehensive setup means less typing, fewer mistakes, and an all-around quicker process. Love this feature!

The lack of 24/7 support is a drawback. If I have an issue on a weekend (though it's rare), I can't access support. This is challenging because some patients aren't nearby to collect handwritten prescriptions, which could take 1-3 days even if sent overnight.
