“simple, attractive and promising but poor support
Pros
It's simple to use, has an attractive user interface and feels forward-looking with a lot of promise. I am most impressed by the AI scribing idea that leverages structured data.
Cons
I have found customer support disappointing as our client success representative seems to shift roles and doesn't meaningfully partner with my practice. New features often ship with glitches. The platform is pricey. It doesn't let users customize things freely like we have to wait for ModMed medical directors to sign off and changes often depend on the popularity votes of the ModMed user community. That makes it insufficiently flexible for practices that run differently. There are several missing capabilities that matter to us such as Klara cannot push patient registration details straight into the PM, there's no reliable way to scan patient IDs and insurance cards and pull that demographic data into PM, the system won't post Google reviews directly and ModMed Pay doesn't provide flexibility for surcharges or tips.

I am optimistic about the cutting-edge features that will roll out and since we are new to this platform, I have found several parts of it actually easier to get around.
Cons
As an advanced practice, we miss a lot of functions in gGastro that our previous system provided, so we're unable to do many things we used to.

Honestly the platform feels user-friendly and adapts to how each user works, molding itself to my workflow. Its billing suggestions and review prompts provide good guidance. Plus being able to fax directly from the visit saves time and ensures things actually get sent. The team also seems constantly focused on the future and brings many fresh ideas and I really like the upbeat vibe of their staff and company.
Cons
I face way too many clicks and have to navigate through multiple pages.

the system really enforces proper documentation and keeps compliance on track. I am also seeing it bring together several previously separate functions to evolve into a progressively more turnkey product.
Cons
I have noticed that even though the company acquired Exscribe, it hasn't fully folded Exscribe's strengths into EMA as quickly as it could have been done. Nevertheless, I do feel the team seems genuinely open to constructive suggestions for improvement.

As a long-time end user, I find the interface extremely user friendly and easy to use. Also the documentation gets updated quickly and they have rolled out many new features to the program over time. I have been using EMA for 10 years.
Cons
I have noticed they can be slow to resolve issues and sometimes they take on too many new initiatives without properly fixing earlier versions or programs. The analytics also come across as somewhat clunky to work with.
