I have found the PM and analytics module to be absolutely top-notch and very reliable!
Cons
The Pre-collections module, however, doesn't let me remove accounts that have already been paid which is frustrating.

“Evolving platform with excellent community
Pros
Over the years I have watched ModMed move through a lot of growth phases and it keeps evolving every day. I work in dermatology and have seen the platform branch out into other specialties. The system is easy to use. There are excellent community chat boards where I keep up with other practices and specialized staff channels help address issues, troubleshoot problems, or onboard newer users. ModMed University offers many training options for beginners and for experienced users who want to dig deeper. Having used several other PMS platforms, I now consider MM a fantastic medical office solution that I promote and recommend.
Cons
I have noticed the analytics could use more attention. I mean on the whole they're decent and offer a lot of options but uploading and refreshing data isn't always prompt. When I pull the same data from different reports that ought to match, they sometimes come back inconsistent which is really confusing and forces me to spend extra time wasting time trying to understand why the results differ.

“Constant updates and community features
Pros
I appreciate that Mod Med constantly rolls out updates to enhance the platform and address bugs users face. Beyond that, I am a fan of the community section where members can post questions or ask for recommendations and the ideas area where users cast votes. From what I have seen, Mod Med frequently implements the top-voted suggestions in later releases.
Cons
Sometimes updates are released that don't function correctly before they reach users which frustrates me. I have also found Mod Med's ticketing section needs improvement. Often I receive an initial reply from client services but I rarely get clear confirmation that the problem has been resolved, so I am left wondering when or if it's actually fixed.

“Flexibility for efficient patient rooming
Pros
I really appreciate the flexibility it provides when I am rooming patients. Once I became comfortable navigating the system and exploring the many options it makes available, the process of rooming patients becomes something I can finish both easily and quite quickly.
Cons
There's a frustrating amount of clicking required in some areas of ModMed and I find that tedious. As it can really slow my workflow when I am not exactly sure what I am searching for or how to proceed. I'd like it if the path to the finished result involved fewer individual clicks, so I could reach the end product faster and with less issue.

“Smooth check-in and check-out process
Pros
Speaking for our front desk staff, I can say this system has made the check-in and check-out process much smoother overall. Insurance verification is done with just a couple of clicks and we're really happy with this product!
Cons
I wish that entering the zip code would automatically fill in the city and state fields for me.

What I really like is that it's user-friendly and easy to navigate. I am really happy that I can link appointments and send tasks quickly and reliably.
Cons
I am frustrated that it only recalls the last ten patients and the recall reminders don't close by themselves.

The software is visually appealing and user friendly for non tech savvy members of our staff.
Cons
The performance of this software is often slow, which slows down tasks and hampers productivity. You sometimes have to scroll through long pages or menus to access key features, adding frustration to routine operations. And the software faces a range of technical issues, including occasional glitches and system crashes, which disrupt workflow and make the software less reliable for day-to-day use.

“A reasonable EHR system
Pros
I like the user-friendly design of the software. But there are updates required.
Cons
I had mixed experiences with Modmed's customer support, with some interactions being helpful while others were not up to the mark. The support for billing and claims is generally average, providing enough assistance but we cant get the efficiency we need. Also the software's analytics features are a little difficult to use, making it difficult to get insights or access effectively.

I find ModMed excellent for managing hectic provider calendars, securing and organizing patient PHI and documents and keeping communication flowing with my staff.
Cons
When it comes to billing, I feel there's room for improvement. As I have faceed claims that never get transmitted and payments that fail to post correctly.

I am really impressed by how user friendly the interface is. Also there are several different ways built in to accomplish the same task, so I can pick whichever method suits me best. It also gets regular updates and new features

some features feel either hard to reach or not fully developed. For example, I cannot add patient chart attachments directly to the portal without having to send an intra-mail which is annoying and slows my workflow.

ModMed has proven to be a solid subscription for these ends. The patient analytics feature is especially good, we've increased our tracked revenue from subsidized patient e-payments by 12% over the last quarter – hoping for even better this time.

“Overpriced and lacking support
Pros
The system is pretty modern yet fairly user friendly for many common tasks.
Cons
That said, I find they do not provide an open API which makes it extremely hard to connect the system with other tools. From what I have seen, they work with a lot of third-party vendors and stitch together services that often feel disjointed and I end up spending a huge number of man-hours keeping everything coordinated. In my experience, it is expensive yet the support doesn't match the cost as getting a real person on the line for help is nearly impossible. I also have to juggle separate logins for users, admins and support which is a issue. Reporting can be powerful but it's slow and complex as I spend many hours building and updating custom reports. I have noticed they don't have a solid tracker for cosmetic patients to clearly show what stage each patient is in. Quoting has gotten better but still leaves much to be desired. They push updates frequently but I find those often come with extra charges for added services. For the price I am paying, I would expect more genuinely new features.

Working in a very busy dermatology practice, my focus covers Aesthetics, hair-loss treatments and Mohs surgery. I have seen ModMed listen to my feedback and adapt features so the specific needs of my specialties are considered which makes charting noticeably simpler.
Cons
There are still several options I use that don't appear in the available plan lists which can be frustrating during busy clinics. I'd really like the plans to include more tailored 'favorites' specifically for aesthetics and cosmetic procedures, with customizable settings so I can align my workflow.
