Simplifies charting for us

Pros

I appreciate the built-in protocols because they make charting much simpler for me.

Cons

What frustrates me is not being able to use dot phrases or the F2 'thorough' shortcut to auto-fill the blanks.

Overwhelming for new users, multiple session annoyance

Pros

Honestly I am not sure as I haven't been using ModMed very long and it feels pretty overwhelming.

Cons

I find it annoying that the platform allows multiple sessions to be open at once.

Pros

The otolaryngology module explicit to our practice is very much structured and as changes were required, they were done in an ideal way. The system is pretty cool and that is coming from one experience.

Cons

At first, the Practice Management side of the product was not comparable to our earlier system, however, after some time, the updates and changes have improved it extraordinarily. I would to thank you for the updates.

Amazing for billing patients

Pros

It is user-friendly software with a lot of templates for reports. You can use it on iPads too. Revenue cycle management is very useful.

This Poorly Designed UserUnfriendly Software Is Sending My Blood Pressure Skyward

Pros

I found relief in the fact that the software doesnt restart automatically.

Cons

My experience was marred by subpar customer service an overly complex interface and insufficient training. Additionally issues with the clearinghouse unproductive responses and cumbersome processes were highly aggravating. The constant inundation of seminar invitations was also intrusive.

Very easy to use on all devices

Pros

It is very easy to use, with a user friendly and attractive user interface that works across all of my devices.

Cons

In my experience there aren't any real downsides but practices should map out patient flow and core processes before customizing and implementing ModMed to achieve a smooth and successful rollout.

Saves time with lab integration

Pros

The EMA system saves time and reduces stress by connecting lab results directly to patient charts. When a dermatologist orders a biopsy, they can suggest a treatment plan right away. That note is attached to the results. When the results come back, the doctor can quickly confirm or change the plan. Photos of the skin lesion come with the results, making it easy to decide on the next step, whether it is scheduling surgery or sending the patient to a specialist.

Cons

When I am searching for appointments other than follow-ups like New Patient visits, Surgery, Mohs, Cosmetic or Laser the system usually times out and drops the connection. That makes booking anything besides a simple follow-up very time-consuming and honestly frustrating.

Built for dermatology workflows

Pros

What I find most useful about it is that it was built specifically for dermatology workflows and its menus are user friendly, simple and easy for me to navigate.

Cons

I notice small inconsistencies between the desktop and iPad apps and when I switch back and forth it can become somewhat confusing and disrupt my workflow.

Easy documentation for all providers

Pros

I find documentation easy to use for providers and it is simple to train my clinical support staff on scheduling and other practice management tasks such as patient registration, payments and document handling are all efficient.

Cons

Customer support has been extremely disappointing and at times feels nonexistent. I get frustrated when I am not tech-savvy, though ultimately I managed to get it working as I adapted.

EMA is great customer service is bad

Pros

The EMR software EMA was notably userfriendly and helped me save time during clinic operations.

Cons

Despite the softwares functionality the process of implementing new features was arduous due to prolonged discovery calls and delayed service deployments. My dissatisfaction was exacerbated by the poor quality of customer service especially considering the premium pricing.

The best specialty-specific EMA

Pros

The best EMA for specialty practice in the market. Modernizing Medicine has specifically designed its software to provide all the features that would make our day-to-day working experience ten times better and easier. It prioritizes the needs of the patients and clinicians. The platform is so easy to navigate and simple to work with. The support staff is very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. There are different modules that integrate seamlessly with the EMA, such as patient portal, diagnostics, practice management, billing, etc. The companys pro-activity and responsiveness set them apart from any competitor on the market.

Cons

The office has to make adjustments and increase its workflow to come together in cooperation with the system’s speed.
