“Best choice for dermatology
Pros
How easy it is to use. It's super efficient for writing notes, sending prescriptions and putting in orders.
Cons
The IT and technical issues are the biggest problem. There are times when EMA is just completely down and it really affects our work. It makes it so difficult when you're right in the middle of seeing patients.

“Efficient but too much downtime
Pros
I find the system to be very smooth and easy to use. It just flows well and I don't have to fight with it to get things done. I honestly like it a lot.
Cons
It's not bilingual and that's a problem for us. In Allentown, PA, we have a lot of Spanish-speaking patients and it would be so nice if they could use the system in their language too.

“smooth but not available in Spanish
Pros
We only purchased the EHR portion of ModMed at first and were very pleased with it. But when they introduced the Practice Management system, it was a game-changer. It made our entire practice so much more efficient and eliminated so many repetitive tasks that used to get passed from person to person.
Cons
In the beginning switching to this system was a huge learning curve but we've definitely gotten past that. My biggest complaint now is the reporting system and I find it difficult to use sometimes. And in the billing department, we all hate the process you have to follow for a returned payment. But other than that, it's okay.

“Game-changer with reporting function is problematic
Pros
It is so easy to work with on my iPad. I especially love the "EYE LOG" tab because it's much easier to read and manage on the go. The best part is that I can work on a patient's chart without being glued to my seat at the front desk.
Cons
Using it on the computer is harder to manage. It takes more steps to do things and all the tabs are in different places than I'm used to.

It's very user friendly and always works great for me and I rarely run into issues. When I need to find something, it's usually very straightforward and doesn't take a lot of digging.
Cons

Pros
My favorite thing is the ease of access to all the information I need. Having everything about a patient in one place saves me so much time and hassle throughout the day.
Cons
I get tired of how many pages I have to click through just to enter information. For example, I wish from the HIPAA form I could just click a box that says "Make Emergency Contact" instead of going through a whole other process. I also sometimes have issues finding referrals.

I am constantly impressed by how fast I can find everything. All the information is in one central place and I can pull it up at a really fast pace which is crucial during a busy day.
Cons

“Easy to learn, excellent daily support
Pros
The software is really easy to pick up and move around in which makes training new staff a simple task. Also their customer support is always quick to respond. I rely on it every single day for both routine tasks and admin functions.
Cons
One issue I run into is the lack of integration with Vision Plans which means I cannot file claims from within Trizetto. I would also like a bit more flexibility when building templates.

Cons

Pros
I really value how it keeps up to date with the ever-changing legislation and medical codes. The fact that it updates the medication library and medical diagnoses databases automatically is a huge help. It also does a good job of cleaning out old, obsolete stuff that nobody uses anymore.
Cons
It's frustrating that forgetting to update a single digit in one medical code for 2024 caused a bunch of our claims to get rejected. Now we have to resubmit all of them.

The system is detailed but still easy to use once you get the hang of it. I have to admit, it felt like a lot for me to learn at first but just getting into the daily routine and repeating the tasks has really helped me become comfortable with it.
Cons
I am not sure. I had some trouble figuring it out at first but now it's going okay and I don't really have any problems.

Cons

love the ease of electronic documentation. It's so much better than the old way of having to track down and sift through bulky paper charts for every little thing.

Some things just aren't customizable enough for us. Also when new medications come out, it takes a long time for them to get added into the system.

The system is very clear and user-friendly. I've noticed it gives me a lot more options and flexibility especially when I'm rooming patients and charting their visits which is really helpful.
Cons
When I save a patient's height and weight in their chart, that information doesn't carry over to their next visit. So I have to keep asking the patient for it over and over. Unlike weight, a person's height doesn't change

My favorite part is how easy it is to use and the fact that I can see all of a patient's documents and information in one single spot. It saves me so much time.
Cons
The difference between how it looks on the computer and how it looks on the iPad is really noticeable. It's like two different systems.
