“simple with all info in one spot
Pros
Honestly it is so much easier to navigate and find my way around in compared to all the other systems I've had to use in the past.
Cons
Every once in a while we get errors when we try to save our work. But other than that, everything has been great.

“Easier than other systems
Pros
It's efficient and a real time-saver all in one. I can easily move from patient check-in, to writing the note and then to billing without a hitch. It makes the whole "paperwork" side of being a doctor way less time-consuming, a lot more accurate and just easier to manage.
Cons
There's not much I don't like about this tool. My main issue is that I can't start a visit note on the app on my phone.

“saves time but no phone app
Pros
I really like how you can keep track of the patient flow throughout the day. Also the way your findings automatically populate into the exam note once you pick a diagnosis is a fantastic feature.
Cons
I really wish the layout on the tablet and the desktop computer looked the same. Right now the layout is SOOO different between them!

Pros
It is great to have instant access to notes and labs all in one place. It also provides a much easier way for me to communicate with the provider and the rest of my team, which keeps everyone on the same page.
Cons
I would say there's nothing I dislike right now. Overall, it's a good source for a lot of the info we need.

Pros
I just find ModMed to be really easy to use and super user-friendly! It never feels complicated or like I have to fight with it to do my job.
Cons
It's annoying that when I open a new tab, it refreshes the tab I was already in and sends both tabs back to the home screen.

“Smooth but needs shortcuts
Pros
It's just easy all around, easy to use, easy for data entry and I find it really simple to switch between different screens when I need to multitask.
Cons
It could save us a lot of time if there were better keystroke shortcuts for coding updates. I'd also love to be able to query the database for reports to help with our daily and weekly tasks.

My experience has been really good. The system itself runs smoothly and is friendly to use but I also have to give a shout-out to the excellent customer service team whenever I need help.
Cons
Some options are difficult to learn because they change between the web version and the iOS app. It's confusing when things aren't in the same place.

“handy tool but reminders fail
Pros
It is very easy to handle and get the hang of. The thing I like the most is that everything I need is right there in the same program.... it's just so easy to use and find what I'm looking for.
Cons
The "Add Reminder" feature is frustrating. I fill it out to send a reminder to a patient but they don't always receive it.

“Scheduling is simple
Pros
The scheduling system is really easy to work with on a daily basis. And I have to say, the close-out reports we get at the end of the day are very good and detailed, which helps us finish up smoothly.
Cons
Collections tabs are a little hard to figure out. I find it tricky to run the reports I need from that section.

Pros
I appreciate how easy it is to use. The best part is that it's so specific to our specialty, Dermatology; it feels like it was built just for our practice.
Cons
Nothing specific comes to mind. Sometimes there are little glitches in the system but they're usually fixed pretty quickly.

“Simple but can't merge families
Pros
It's so simple. It's easy to set up new patients, the whole system is super simple to learn and moving between different patients' charts is really simple.
Cons
There's no option to delete or merge profiles if you accidentally create a duplicate. Also you can't check out families together, you have to charge each person separately which is a trouble.

“great tasks and prescriptions functions
Pros
I love two things in particular. First, using the task feature that automatically makes a note in the patient's chart for me. Second, being able to send a prescription right from the patient's chart without having to switch to another program.
Cons
I wish I could remove patients from the prescription list under the Physician's Assistant once their treatment is finished. It just gets cluttered.

“User-friendly but reports are slow
Pros
We find ModMed to be pretty user friendly overall and it is easy for us to locate patient records quickly. Also our account rep has been fairly responsive whenever we've had questions.
Cons
The reporting tool is pretty slow and hard to use and I also need a much improved workflow for handling Orders.

Pros
What I like most is how easy it is to get support. There is always a variety of ways to reach someone and it rarely takes long before a real person responds. The user community feels genuinely helpful and will jump in to assist in a timely manner. I also like how many resources exist to learn the system and stay informed. Overall it is easy to access ModMed U and pull up all the training and support materials I need to bring my staff up to speed and keep everyone supported.
Cons
One thing that frustrates me is that smaller issues often do not move up the priority list. Sometimes it feels like we have to gather votes in the community just to get an issue noticed or addressed. And after attending multiple conferences, I have left wishing the team would spend more time listening to requests for small updates that would make day to day work easier, rather than focusing mainly on large scale projects. As those little quality of life fixes would really improve our workflow.

Pros
I typically reach out via email when I have support questions and I like that hold times on calls are short. Plus I can quickly locate user guides online.
Cons
When emailing support, they often ask for extra details and expect me to respond immediately. However in a hectic clinic it can take me a couple of days to gather what's needed and by the time I respond the case has sometimes already been closed.

“simple to use and easy finances
Pros
One thing I really like about ModMed is how easy it is to use. On the financial side, I can easily build my daily routine for posting payments, cleaning up claims and working through accounts receivable without much fuss.
Cons
What frustrates me most is the Analytics reporting as it takes far too long to load and when I finally export the reports to Excel they often come out with inaccurate figures. That inconsistency is worrying, particularly because it makes tracking A/R unreliable and adds extra work to verify numbers.

“Great for charting
Pros
It is an excellent platform for charting. also it is extremely user-friendly and easy to train others on and the chatting/communication functions are smooth and seamless.
Cons
When updates are announced, I often find they take a long time to actually go live and frustratingly an update will frequently introduce some new issue. Also support does not feel as quick as it used to in my experience which is disappointing.

I find the system very easy to learn and use and I love that it is so focused on Dermatology.
Cons
The thing that bugs me is the Rx tab. As after I enter a prescription, it immediately drops me out of the patient's Rx screen, so I cannot send it without having to reopen the Rx section and click back into it.
