Unfortunately, my experience with My Vision Express was not good. Their customer support service was poor as I had to wait hours to get the assistance.
Cons
I have been trying to get in touch with someone in the finance department for 6 months now. And I spent more than 4 hours on hold, but still no one has helped me nor I received a call back. Very Disappointed.

My Vision Express has been a huge help for us. It loads doctor information and patient profiles right away. We have also figured out how to get the reports to come out just right, with all the details we need. Plus, we can hide certain information from staff who don't need to see it, which is really useful.
Cons
Getting in touch with customer service isn't always easy. Also at times, it's tough to explain our medical concerns to the tech team.

The calendar feature is good as it provide us a weekly view but thats about it.
Cons
I keep getting knocked off and it's really slow. Ever since they shut everything down back in November 2019 because of a potential hacker, things have just gone downhill. Also the customer support is basically nonexistent now, which makes it even worse.

Five years ago, When I first started using this software it was easy to use with reasonable pricing and reliable support.
Cons
And now, it glitches every 10 minutes. It takes months for support tickets to get answered and resolved. And when I finally manage to get in contact with someone, they're rude, which makes everything even worse.

Unfortunately, it falls short on my expectations as it is a barely functional EHR.
Cons
Where do I even start. The implementation and support are terrible. There is no customization at all. And it is not really cloud-based like they claim as it is just a Windows program and only works on Windows devices, not Mac, iPhone or iPad. Plus it is very slow and honestly looks like something straight out of the 1980s.

Well I am using MVE for several years now, and I have put in a lot of time entering all my inventory and customer info into the software. Because of that, I don't want to switch, especially with how busy things are right now. With every upgrade, I keep hoping they'll fix the slow performance, but it's actually worse than ever. Every page takes forever to load, and printing anything takes forever.
Cons
I have spent so much money hiring an IT professional to make sure my mainframe computer is hardwired, that I have the best commercial router and that my Wi-Fi speed is at 1000. However the issue is definitely with MVE. And trying to communicate with them about anything is beyond frustrating. You have to make an appointment just to talk to someone on the phone. Honestly, I'd give MVE an F when it comes to customer service and product efficiency.

My Vision Express is very affordable which I like the most about it. Their support team responds quickly and also it integrates really well with a lot of patient care and management add-ons.
Cons
Its UI feels a bit clunky and the suggestions for completion are more annoying than helpful most of the time. Modifying forms is also difficult than I expected.

It has a lot of great features and possibilities. Also the integration with Frames Data is quite helpful and makes things a lot easier for us.
Cons
Every time a new version comes out, it ends up disturbing other features, and we can't get timely support to fix the issues. When we ask for a feature to be fixed or added, it takes months or it never even gets resolved at all. We have also been told there is no one available to help us set up new reports or train us on the Reporting Tool because all the staff who built the program have left the company. On top of that, we've been trying to get the info needed to integrate with Epic for over a year now, and despite multiple requests, we still haven't gotten anywhere.

Everything we need is right there in the palm of our hand. It does everything we can think of and much more. We were honestly blown away when we first got introduced to MVE.
Cons
Customer support is not the best and needs improvements, but I would say they were still really helpful to us. However I would say the price was a bit on the high side, however it's totally worth it.

In theory, it looks like it is easier to use than other vision software programs. Again I would like to state that in theory. And yes customer support is usually available, too which is a plus.
Cons
If you are a Mac user, this is a real struggle. I don't understand why it is not compatible with Apple computers like who still uses a PC these days? If you are set on using a Mac, you'll need Parallels (or Boot Camp) to switch between Mac and Microsoft, instead of dealing with the Microsoft Remote Desktop app. That Remote Desktop is always lagging and crashing. If you're on a Mac and need to do eye exams quickly or check someone out efficiently, this probably is not the right choice for you. If MVE would just make a Mac version, designed by someone who understands user-friendly features (not just a doctor), I wouldn't have any complaints. And yes customer support is there, but it takes them a long time to actually fix anything.
