Reliable caseload organization

Pros

Keeping our caseload organized is much more manageable with Net Health and it has become a key part of how we stay on top of daily operations. The integration with our Nursing EMR works smoothly which makes everything flow better. On top of that, the Net Health team has been responsive and proactive anytime an issue comes up.

Cons

The biggest hurdle has been customizations although that area has definitely been improving.

simple clinical pathways

Pros

The clinical pathway libraries are a big plus because they help our clinicians stay focused on the patient. The features feel simple and are designed in a way that really makes sense for therapists.

Cons

Like many large organizations that have expanded quickly, Net Health seems to need more attention on its support structure to keep up with its growing business.

all-in-one workflow win

Pros

Everything being in one place has been fantastic. The system is user-friendly, packed with useful functionality and being able to import FOTO surveys, fax plans of care straight to the referring provider and bring in home exercise programs all within the same platform is incredibly helpful.

Cons

Sometimes there are occasional system issues but they usually get resolved pretty quickly.

customized documentation that flows

Pros

Having documentation tailored not just to the patient's condition but also to each therapist has been a huge plus. You can choose the purpose of the evaluation and even select the special tests you prefer to use. I really appreciate how the documentation moves logically from the evaluation to the treatment note, then to the progress note and finally to discharge. It cuts out the need to dig through older notes or depend on memory to remember which special tests should be considered. The setup for connecting with our existing billing system and medical record storage also went very well and Net Health coordinated effectively with other departments to make sure billing, storage and staff training were all handled successfully.

Cons

There are still a few minor glitches. The biggest issue with our setup is that every account has to be closed at the end of each month and then reopened as a new account. If there's a gap in care even just a month, a new account has to be created manually. Also, if the treatment cycle wording is different from the original one, the documentation flow stops. The system reads it as a new cycle so the notes no longer carry over from the previous cycle.

reliable compliance and SUPPORTIVE team

Pros

Since opening my clinic 15 years ago Net Health has been the EMR I've relied on the whole time. It has changed hands a few times over the years but the software has continued to grow and improve in meaningful ways. One of the biggest positives is the team behind it.. their responsiveness and dedication to the product really stand out. The system does an excellent job of keeping clinicians highly compliant with both documentation and billing which gives a lot of confidence that what is documented and billed is exactly what gets submitted to the patient's insurance. For practice owners and managers, it also helps ensure clinician notes get finished quickly especially when using the text replacement tools and templates that save a lot of time.

Cons

Biggest area that still needs improvement is reporting and analytics especially to help administrators save time and gather data more efficiently. Aside from that, there are no major concerns right now. The team is always working to improve the product and does a good job of listening to user feedback.

Smooth EMR integration

Pros

Net Health fit right in with our existing EMR system without any trouble. The implementation team was excellent to work with and users were able to get comfortable with the software pretty quickly.

Cons

The regular upgrades are definitely a plus but every now and then they introduce small glitches.

outdated and frustrating system

Pros

Absolutely nothing about this software works in its favor. Reading previous treatments or evaluations takes endless clicking and there isn't even a shared medical history across disciplines.

Cons

Any favorable reviews I've seen seem to be from three or more years ago. Honestly I doubt those came from actual therapists and suspect they were written by paid professional reviewers.

GREAT workflow for therapists

Pros

Net Health does a really good job of connecting the different parts of home health therapy into one system. It gives therapists and other users a product that supports a solid workflow and helps keep the day moving efficiently.

Cons

Like with most home health software, working around a lost Wi-Fi connection can be frustrating and take extra time. Training and onboarding new hires also requires a decent amount of time.

affordable fit for a small clinic

Pros

It was reasonably priced and worked well enough for a small clinic's needs.

Cons

The billing side involved far too many manual steps and customer support was awful. Getting through to an agent meant sitting on hold for hours and messages often went unanswered.

Worst billing mess

Pros

Absolutely nothing about this billing software has worked well for me. In 35 years of using billing systems, this has been the worst one by far.

Cons

Migration was a disaster because nothing transferred over correctly or completely. On top of that, the system is incredibly complicated and nothing about the navigation feels simple.

reliable support and simpler licensing

Pros

Across our team, this has become the standard query tool we rely on. The pricing feels reasonable, the support has been excellent and the platform is simple to work with. A recent change from email-based licensing to key-based tracking has made license administration much easier to manage. On top of that, the support team is always quick to respond and stays with the issue until it is fully resolved.

Cons

One addition I'd still like to see is IntelliSense and autocomplete. The error messages have gotten better but it would be even more helpful if they included more specific guidance and suggestions.

Frustrating demo process

Pros

At this point I really can't point to any major positives. The website looked fairly organized but it still didn't give enough detail about their products and services to help me make an informed decision.

Cons

After visiting the Net Health website I signed up expecting to get a product demonstration. Instead, I got a phone call from a representative who said it would only be a 10-minute conversation to determine whether their software was the right fit which felt more like I was being screened for a job than requesting a demo. When I asked about the demo I had specifically requested, she told me I couldn't have one until I went through their so-called discovery process first. She then tried to set me up with another person for a 30-minute phone call the next day. I made it clear that I wasn't interested in another call and only wanted the demo that was advertised on their website.

too many windows

Pros

Built-in EMR templates are a solid part of the system. The dropdown options make it simple to document directly in the patient's EMR and being able to sign notes in real time adds a lot more credibility to the documentation.

Cons

It would be better if more information could be viewed on a single screen instead of having to open multiple windows while looking up details, like copay information. Also, if you don't click "problem" to save notes, they can be lost by the next visit.
