“planner and alerts keep us on track”
Pros
Having the planner in place has made minute planning and ARD tracking a lot more manageable. The reports are simple to access and give me a fast way to pull the information I need for my clients. The alert system is also really helpful because it catches missing documentation before closing and helps make sure everything is completed on time and stays compliant.
Cons
One area that could be better is the evaluation workflow for therapists. It isn't as simple as it should be since they have to select goals based on CPT codes instead of simply choosing the functional goals they actually want to document.

“missing essential reporting”
Pros
For what I needed there really wasn't anything useful.
Cons
It doesn't provide solid referral source tracking and it's also missing patient follow-up reports as well as demographic and address reporting.

“billing-focused and badly designed”
Pros
From an ethical and professional therapist's perspective, there's really nothing here that I value about this software. From a business owner's standpoint though, it does seem very effective at finding the simplest ways to submit higher billing to insurance companies which is likely one of the biggest reasons so many SNFs are drawn to it.
Cons
Absolutely everything is a problem here especially the design, the requirements and the interface.

“versatile care tracking and dashboards”
Pros
Managing multidisciplinary patient care is much more organized with this software because it keeps track of all the moving parts in one place. The dashboards are excellent for keeping administration updated on what is due and they make it very simple to locate whatever is needed. Pulling up any part of a complicated patient care record is quick and hassle-free. The chart layout feels familiar since it follows the structure of a paper chart and demographics, patient details, discipline forms, labs and more are all right there within a click or two. Since it is web-based, there is no need for in-house servers and the system can be accessed anywhere with internet or cell service. It also works well on a phone, tablet or computer with no special equipment required. Another big plus is being able to print, fax or email information directly from the system to facilities, providers, pharmacies and others with faxing only requiring a small monthly service fee such as RingCentral. Treatment and medication orders are simple to update, review and print. I also appreciate that the patient care plan is a living document that can be revised directly within discipline notes during each visit as patient needs change.
Cons
At the moment there is no interface with a pharmacy benefit manager so medications orders, changes and related details still have to be entered separately into the pharmacy system. Also because the care plan is updated from within the discipline notes and pulls forward defaults from previous notes, charting has to be completed in sequence. That can sometimes be inconvenient for patients who have very frequent visits.

“Buggy IDT documentation”
Pros
One thing this product does well is note-taking especially for disciplines like nursing. It's fairly simple to understand and it includes useful features like pre-populated notes which make it easier to track how patients are changing over time. Adding notes is simple as well.
Cons
To stay compliant with certain Joint Commission and CHAP standards, I've had to make manual edits to the documentation HospiceSoft provides. There are specific clauses I routinely add to notes, along with details surveyors have asked about. Surveyors have also mentioned that the IDT documentation feels convoluted. The information is there but finding each piece can be harder than it should be.

“Simple setup”
Pros
The support from the software team has been excellent and getting comfortable with the basic functions didn't take much time. They also offer billing services at a reduced cost which has been a nice bonus.
Cons
Charting nurse visits takes longer than it should and the software feels pretty basic overall.

“Handy current care plans”
Pros
Working with the support team has been a really positive experience. I also really appreciate the living plan of care because it helps keep our POC updated at all times.
Cons
Documenting a routine nurse visit still takes quite a bit of time. That said HospiceSoft seems pretty comparable to the other EMRs we've reviewed.

“physician-unfriendly emr”
Pros
One part that works fairly well is the laceration and abscess documentation platform. Beyond that, there really isn't anything else about this EMR that I find appealing.
Cons
Agility feels like a very basic data-entry system and does little to improve efficiency in the practice. It is not designed in a way that feels physician-friendly. Patient flow, communication within the office and communication with outside offices all suffer because of it. Care coordination is more difficult than it should be and from an Occupational Medicine standpoint, it does not provide the real-time access to information that is needed.

“Limited support”
Pros
Getting started with Net Health has been pretty user-friendly and the pricing is good as well. The representative who trained us was also really helpful and made the setup process better.
Cons
One downside is that they don't offer customer support over the phone. Everything has to go through email which makes it difficult when you just have a simple question or need a quick verification.

“helpful tracking and support”
Pros
It makes it simple to monitor patient progress, including changes like decline and symptoms. The vendor has also been supportive, friendly and consistently available whenever needed.
Cons
At this point I really haven't come across anything I dislike. If I had to point to the least favorable part, it would be that I'm occasionally unsure why certain information or reports pull from the full chart in some places but only from part of the chart in others. For example, a Doctor's Order may show some medications but not the complete list of medications the patient is currently taking.

“MY REVIEW”
Pros
The software has been very user-friendly and simple to navigate. Scheduling orders, the plan of care and honestly every part of the system has been simple to use. Whenever help is needed, the vendor responds quickly and has been friendly, attentive and genuinely willing to assist.
Cons
There is not really anything I dislike although I do have some trouble with the Bereavement section. I believe that is mostly because I do not use it often enough due to having a small census.
