“thorough and efficient”
Pros
It is really thorough and is pretty easy for learning the system's basics. Our clinic group and other healthcare sites use it, so patient records are shared and I can access them as a PCP.
Cons
There are absurd limits in places. I cannot easily add a patient's pharmacy details anymore. As there used to be a simple option that, for some reason got removed. The platform is so large that I am always learning new features. Simple tasks that should be quick like placing a referral order, end up being unnecessarily complex.

“Review”
Pros
I am a medical practice student using this tool, and for me, this software has helped in many ways and made my day to day tasks easier. The tool is easy to use and can be accessed easily as well. The functions and future diagnostic features are something I really like about this tool as it helps me improve my skills.
Cons
There needs to be more resources and information about the future generation health system.

“Powerful billing and reporting tools”
Pros
Having used an earlier release of NextGen before trying a different practice management platform, I ultimately realized that its features suited me best. As I found it easy to rebill claims and manage receivables and I genuinely liked the built-in reporting tools the system provided during my routine billing and month-end workflows.
Cons
I had difficulty figuring out how the database was configured to enable running ad hoc reports via a direct SQL connection.

Pros
The app has a lot of flexibility and built in features and the code support is genuinely helpful when you're working through different use cases. Overall it feels well rounded for customization.
Cons

“Great APMA integrations”
Pros
They've had a 2015 certified APMA partnership and they worked with that group directly. NextGen also uses the APMA registry which feels like a solid foundation. Health Fusion was already acquired by NextGen so it doesn't seem like the product is going to disappear. The platform is also customizable so you can tailor it to match how your practice operates.
Cons
If someone from sales walks you through it, it can look fantastic but the default setup still takes a lot of customization once you're working with it on your own. The upside is that it's highly customizable but the downside is that you're the one doing the heavy lifting. Likewise, they'll demonstrate things for you but you end up doing the actual work to get everything configured. A number of the wording they include looks good at first glance but after you read it closely, you'll likely realize there are plenty of adjustments you need to make.

“clean EMR documentation”
Pros
This software helps me keep medical documentation organized by recording Electronic Medical Reports which is really useful for storing clinical data. The interface is simple to use so it's quick to get around and enter information.
Cons
Occasionally it glitches and throws error messages. It would benefit from some debugging or reprogramming to iron out those malfunctions but overall it feels like a solid first version.
