“Probably the worst EHR that has ever been.
Pros
Primarily suitable for billing not much else to elaborate on.
Cons
Deemed the least userfriendly for physicians it becomes nearly impossible to operate without a scribe. The automatic deactivation after just two weeks of inactivity poses a challenge requiring a cumbersome reactivation process.

“NextGen
Pros
This EHR system particularly beneficial for orthopedic offices is remarkably easy to navigate offering great features from patient scheduling to telephone encounters. The schedule view facilitates easy doctor identification within a clinic for efficient patient scheduling. Task assignment to team members is uncomplicated.
Cons
Locating specific documents may be a bit tricky potentially associated with clinicside document naming. Apart from that not many negatives come to mind.

“Clear explanation for rejections
Pros
I find it provides a clear, helpful explanation of why a prescription was rejected by insurance.
Cons
it fails to explain the reasons behind DUR rejections. I also run into problems when searching for patients. Even using the central search I sometimes need multiple tries before the correct patient profile finally appears in the system.

“Highly compatible and simple to operate
Pros
The software's compatibility with other systems leads me to recommend it for our hospital. NextGen Healthcare is simple to operate and supports serving many patients across various departments.
Cons
In my hospital, I have found the support team responsible for fixing faults and outages is slow to respond, even during emergencies. This has been the biggest shortcoming we've faceed with NextGen Healthcare.

“Safe, easy to use and cloud-based
Pros
I have noticed it's an online/cloud-based system, so I feel the records are safely stored and can be pulled up later whenever I need to check a patient's history. It also makes things convenient because patients can schedule appointments through the platform without having to come into the clinic. On top of that, they let me try a free demo before I commit to buying the software which helped me decide.
Cons
To be honest, I find the software quite expensive. I am disappointed that the customer support doesn't live up to what I'd expect for the price. As the quality of help they provide feels far too low.

Pros
NextGen's organization by exam findings and procedures is appreciated allowing easy printing of a chart summary for report inclusion.

“Really easy to navigate and modify
Pros
Navigating Healthfusion through NextGen is really easy and I am able to modify blueprints myself. Plus I can quickly get in touch with customer support whenever I need help.
Cons
I have discovered the orders tab cannot be customized especially the lab panels which creates a lot of confusion and HealthFusion hasn't offered a solution to fix this issue.
