“Incredibly slow and repetitive system
Pros
I cannot find any positives. The software runs incredibly slowly and feels unnecessarily repetitive in its workflows.
Cons
Pretty much everything frustrates me such as appointment scheduling, how medications are entered, documenting patient history and complaints, repetitive templates and the support is painfully slow.

“LOW QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE
Pros
The software's collection tools are excellent provided proper training has been undertaken.
Cons
Strong criticism for customer service labeled as unacceptable due to the prolonged resolution time for cases. The requirement to create a case for any issue urgent or not is considered a significant drawback.

“Simple and consolidated patient management
Pros
I am glad that so much patient information is consolidated in one spot because it makes monitoring and managing their healthcare needs really simple and convenient.
Cons
I find it frustrating that the system doesn't offer an effective way to generate reports for things like overdue immunizations or A1c values that fall outside the normal range.

“way too many glitches with lost orders
Pros
I honestly don't have much to like about this platform as I come across frequent glitches.
Cons
When I try to order tests, the system keeps glitching. And if I navigate away to a different screen, the order doesn't get saved.

“Nextgen is a very useful product but it is not the most learner friendly.
Pros
The abundance of auto-fill and "select-all" features made filling out patient charts quickly and keeping up with the doctor a hassle free task.
Cons
While I appreciate NextGen for ophthalmology it is evident that the software was not developed by a medical professional. Although I like most aspects of the software there are some features that could benefit from input from a medical professional.

“(For the MediTouch/Office product for small clinics)
Pros
No need for additional hardware effortless setup and user-friendly interface comprehensive range of features outstanding support ideal for MIPS and MU requirements seamless integration with fax or direct messaging and a highly convenient electronic order interface for Quest (and likely other vendors).
Cons
There is room for improvement in terms of speed and reliability. CCDA import and export functionalities are delicate and barely functional. The Billing module works but requires experienced billers to optimize its performance.

“Nextgen has improved dramatically in the years I have used it. The workflow model is great.
Pros
Workflow model improved template sets and intuitive usability for office roles. Notable note-taking and saving features.
Cons
We have encountered issues with HPI templates containing excessive information. Additionally the software lacks a specific podiatry specialty causing challenges in that area.

“Really user friendly and simple setup
Pros
The interface is really user friendly as using the app and moving through the configuration felt pretty easy. Setting up the patient portal, billing and appointment scheduling was simple too and their customer service has been consistently helpful.
Cons
The amount of clicking and checkbox navigation can be frustrating. It takes me a bit longer to click through checkboxes to complete coding tasks.

“Time-consuming and complex process
Pros
Lab studies and vital signs are easy to find in the system and I can quickly pull them up. Accessing prior notes and records is also easy for me.
Cons
Using it feels extremely time-consuming, cumbersome and inefficient. I find the sheer number of radio buttons required in each section to be overkill and it ends up wasting a great deal of my time.
