Currently I don't have any negatives. Previously it was challenging to reach a support person but that has been resolved and now it's effortless with our dedicated support personnel.

Cons

NextGen has implemented a new success community that offers easy access for questions and their assistance with MACRA/MIPS regulatory inquiries is excellent.
Cons
NextGen lacked spell check in the system which was a long-standing complaint from our providers. However the recently released version now includes spell check.

While the reporting capabilities are powerful retrieving data requires specific queries. NextGen's focus on compliance and regulatory updates is commendable.
Cons
Pricing is a concern as well as the reliance on external vendors instead of developing certain features in-house. For example the HQM should have a platform within NextGen instead of partnering with another vendor.

Cons
Archiving capabilities are lacking especially for charts with numerous encounters. Reaching a high threshold can cause individual charts to slow down.

The OPH chart note needs improvement. It incorrectly populates the surgical history under past ocular history. Consistency in formatting alignment and font size is a concern as the note frequently switches back and forth.

Pros
NextGen is highly customizable and tailored to meet the needs of FQHCs. Over the past 3-3 years the software has undergone significant improvements resulting in an enhanced user experience and improved customer support.
Cons
Additional add-ons come at an extra charge. Proper database maintenance requires IT staff and there are unresolved problems labeled as "known issues" without provided fixes.

Cons
