Can make Nextgen do anything reporting is very good.

Pros

The software allows for customization and integration with third-party software/vendors enhancing the overall workflow for high-volume tasks.

Cons

There can be delays in incorporating enhancements into releases. Sometimes the abundance of options requires advanced training.

user friendly and adaptable to change

Pros

The software is user-friendly and offers customization options. Patients can communicate with their nurses and staff review labs and receive better healthcare attention.

Cons

The Patient Portal's export errors have become problematic. Typically I'm directed to a KI for assistance and the issue gets resolved later.

Large company experienced knowledgeable functionality

Pros

The features and functionality are commendable although I have a few suggestions. The practice management portion which I primarily use requires substantial setup but offers extensive functionality.

Cons

Customer service has improved but there are still challenges in the setup process. It would be helpful to receive more personalized assistance.

Started as an end user for the EPM now I'm an analyst with the system

Pros

The software offers numerous options for various functions. The screen layout and templates are well-organized ensuring a clutter-free experience. The appointment schedules on the EPM side are thoughtfully designed providing hover information without the need for clicking.

Cons

The extensive options for most functions can be confusing for non-technical users. Additionally the autoflow feature involves too many screens ideally consolidating everything into a single screen would be more efficient.

This was really great i learned alot

Pros

The posting and running of financial and revenue cycle reports are valuable. I particularly enjoy using charge entry edits. Overall I believe this software is excellent and meets all the needs of my practice.

Cons

The only drawback is the COB window in payment posting with ERA. I disagree with the requirement for balancing. It would be beneficial to have more settings available when running the balancing report for financial purposes.

Pros

We appreciate the ability to customize the workflow according to the preferences of our patient population.

Cons

communication has improved

Pros

I find the multi-use functionality of NextGen helpful. I work with the practice management software document manager and file maintenance. The success community is a significant improvement from previous help formats.

Cons

There are some limitations in reporting with not all fields being available. As a system administrator the available options can be overwhelming at times.

Educational and enlightning

Pros

The software's user accessibility is commendable. I particularly appreciate the availability of mapping and descriptions. The online information was helpful regarding concerns about accessing the software on a Windows-based tablet.

Cons

Connectivity is an issue. It would be preferable to be able to notate according to slide rather than class and have the ability to view slides and take notes simultaneously. Currently toggling between the two is necessary.

I use EHR as a pedi NP and have been pleased with the updates to pediatric specific templates.

Pros

The ability to save and apply quick notes is a feature I like. Additionally the immunization module is easy to use.

Cons

I dislike the redundancy within NextGen where multiple places are available to document the same information. The number of clicks required is also a frustration. It would be highly beneficial to have the ability to document more information on a single screen. Additionally closing pop-up HPI boxes to access lab results is inconvenient.

Was a great learning experience

Pros

Going paperless and transitioning from filing paperwork to scanning documents has been seamless. Navigating and scheduling tasks is straightforward.

Cons

The software lacks equal focus on behavioral health and lacks specialized training in that area. Many IT personnel are unfamiliar with behavioral health and the general IT assistance provided is not specific to behavioral health needs.

Has been a great learning experience

Pros

The software's functionality is user-friendly which our users appreciate. The inclusion of EPCS is also a plus. The upgrade assistance is excellent.

Cons

Known issues that occur during upgrades are a concern. I dislike the care guidelines and the excessive number of clicks involved.

Still learning but major improvement from our old system

Pros

The software enables better management of long-term primary care and preventative care for patients. The availability of easier procedure templates and simple refills is beneficial.

Cons

we just went live 8/38/17 and have struggled with our GO Live. The staff is warming up to the system

Pros

The EHR side of NextGen is user-friendly and our doctors have provided positive feedback. The clinic staff is gradually adapting to the workflow after two months of use.

Cons

We encounter several bugs and when seeking solutions many of our issues are already known problems. It is frustrating to explain this to our doctors who expect quick fixes.

good we have had a few things that have needed more work on but nothing to major

Pros

The software is user-friendly for most tasks performed by end-users. We appreciate the ability to customize less user-friendly aspects. It's positive that system practice templates are being introduced reducing the need for extensive template customization. More online training focused on document management and template edits would be preferred. The ability to create documents on the fly without editing the document library is appreciated.

Cons

Users often complain about the excessive number of clicks which necessitates frequent template edits. On the other hand we appreciate the ability to customize and edit templates.
