Impeccable scheduling module and billing system

Pros

It is a well-built system offering a variety of approaches to schedule patients. There are some plug-in providers that get along with it, there can be numerous integrations into the framework making the client experience pleasant. It offers optional tools you can purchase to upgrade connection with patients for example, a Patient Portal. The system is solid and is well integrated with the EHR Nextgen product.

Cons

The billing system is however spot on, its layout is very hard to navigate. You have to be well equipped with the ways to work around it. You cannot be expected to operate it without proper training since it is a complex system. The sum cost of services employed is very high.

Medical practice

Pros

I am not happy with any feature of the software. Bad decision for us.

Cons

The software is not user-frienldy and has an outdated user interface. No value for money. There are better options that you can buy for the same price.

Makes my job pretty stress free

Pros

Using it makes my job pretty stress free. Also I see real improvements in the revenue cycle while achieving better patient outcomes at lower cost. I also love its value-based care approach overall.

Cons

I haven't run into many aspects of NextGen that bother me. The main challenge I face is carving out enough time to properly train staff so they can use the system effectively.

Direcor of IT Perspective

Pros

The interoperability is excellent, making it simple to send and receive clinical data across different healthcare systems.

Best system I have used

Pros

The billing system's portability and integration stand out, often leading to a joke that bills are submitted before the patient even leaves.

Cons

I'd prefer updates not to occur during the week.

Review of MediTouch EHR

Pros

Accessibility is a highlight whether on an iPad, laptop, or any internet-enabled device. It's not restricted to Windows, ensuring compatibility with various operating systems. Automatic upgrades with prior notices and ongoing exploration of new features contribute to a positive experience.

Cons

The practice management section has a learning curve and some bugs, such as accounts showing outstanding insurance balances when there are none.

Overall Good Product

Pros

NextGen has made significant strides by listening to client needs and developing its product around them, particularly improving the project management (PM) side, which has been strong from the beginning with wide reporting capabilities.

Cons

While the core application side of the electronic health record (EHR) is intact, the knowledge base management (KBM) side still requires overhaul in some areas, despite ongoing efforts indicating a positive shift in the right direction.
