Useful but not flexible enough

Pros

I have found the practice management and scheduling modules really useful and I like the new bidirectional connection with the state immunizations registry.

Cons

It is not flexible to customize templates and deploying updates to clients is a real pain. As manual installation after each upgrade or hot fix consumes a lot of my time.

A great product

Pros

In the event that I have an issue, it is anything but difficult to get an agent on the telephone to help. The agents are delightful and are eager to walk you through the circumstance. I believe this product is simple to explore around, and precise with insurance data while checking eligibility.

Cons

It doesn’t check more insurance companies.

Full of possibilities. Could use improvements

Pros

Consistent improvements. There have been two item updates since we began with them earlier this year. Client administration has improved incredibly too. Almost every single time, whoever attends the customer service phone call, helps you with your problems. The system offers a variety of extraordinary things, like, simplicity of sending the payments from the clinicians to the billing division, seeing the accurate information that a patient got so you can converse with them all the more insightfully, getting loads of detail on the cases, rescheduling a patient starting with one day then onto the next.

Cons

The complaint emails, once they respond, get closed. Even if their response was not helpful and the issue still stands. The product is very reliant on location, which implies that everything has to be done in one place generating a great deal of work. In the event that you have numerous facilities, your specialists perform medical procedures in a few areas and they are outpatient or inpatient.

Great service. using it for the better part of a decade.

Pros

The EMR part of the program is simple to utilize. You can get to it from work to anywhere. I did my billings from the Bahamas one year. It makes meeting the important use criteria exceptionally basic and does a large portion of the work for you, where other competitors are considerably more difficult and cumbersome. The monthly cost incorporates all updates and backing, which is quite useful. They have an incredible learning site and you can get to the data on updates whenever.

Cons

I feel the system works differently in different locations because the billing system is lagging in New York State as it lacks the NYS Medicaid form, and if you want one you have to pay additional charges. Because of the NYS insurances, the secondary billings when not automatically updated can be a big hassle. Resulting in manually producing and sending every claim for every section to the insurance payment. The customer care often does not follow up on issues.

EHR review for small hospital

Pros

Theres not much to complain about although the sales team tends to oversell it.

Cons

Initially sold as a full-service solution support now tends to be pushed towards a knowledge base type solution after changing companies.

NextGen is a pretty robust amulatory care PM/EHR

Pros

Customer support has significantly improved recently. Theyre willing to collaborate to tailor functionalities to our needs offering a lot of configurability. Theyve been instrumental in helping us meet Meaningful Use requirements.

Cons

Everything operates on a modular basis requiring separate purchases for components like RTS Population Health HIE and patient portal. Besides the initial cost additional monthly fees make it expensive to maintain. Theres also a disconnect between the PM and the EHR leading to double documentation or the need to switch between the two.

Awesome Products

Pros

I found both Software Advice and MediTouch vendor to be transparent about their product when I was researching. The pricing is flexible and budget-friendly and the software itself is simple to use.

Cons

Onsite vendor support is non-existent necessitating payment for a third party. However being cloud-based helps cut significant costs.

Clinically Useless. Lost Productivity. Cryptic data entry/retrieval

Pros

Product support was disappointingly unhelpful. The Nextgen system itself is cumbersome requiring numerous clicks for simple tasks. Its inefficient and frustrating to use.

Cons

The response to problems was often Its being addressed in the next version rollout. This led us to perceive it as a half-baked EMR posing risks to patient care and liability concerns. We ultimately abandoned it due to its limitations in meaningful use data collection and poor clinical utility.

User since 2011

Pros

The EMR component is straightforward to use accessible from anywhere and simplifies meeting Meaningful Use criteria. The inclusive monthly pricing covers updates and support making it a cost-effective solution. The learning resources are also excellent for staying updated on new features.

Cons

The billing aspect of the system falls short for New York State users. It lacks compatibility with NYS Medicaid forms and struggles with secondary billing posting especially for New York State insurances. Manual processing for claims and lack of follow-up on support inquiries were recurring issues.
