“A Trustworthy Medical Records System ”
Pros
I can say that nextgen is ideal for managing medical records across multiple office locations. It provides a centralized view of medical records without requiring multiple logins. The platform offers features such as insurance eligibility checks, easy referral and record sending, and task management. The customer service and support are reliable and ready to assist us whenever we need.
Cons
The platform has numerous features that can initially feel overwhelming. Proper training is recommended to fully utilize its capabilities.

“Incredible results”
Pros
Nextgen has been an ideal setup for running across multiple office locations or affiliate offices under one corporation. Medical records are accessible within a single platform so there's no constant logging in and out when switching locations. Patients are simple to find and the alerting helps avoid accidentally creating duplicate charts. I also like that you can roll out an insurance eligibility check on both the medical records side and the practice management side. Encounters update instantly on both sides which makes moving a patient from the front desk to the clinic feel smooth. Alerts are simple to configure while still keeping solid privacy controls to protect data. The referring providers database is another useful touch referrals and records can be sent confidentially without the hassle of printing, scanning or faxing. Also, the tasking feature lets you send trackable messages or assignments across locations and departments.
Cons
With so many features available, it can feel a bit overwhelming at the start. It helps a lot to use any training offered for the platform so you can get the most out of everything it includes.

Pros
It works really well when you're dealing with medical and behavioral health services. The workflow feels aligned with what those teams actually need so it doesn't take much tweaking to get going.
Cons
There's a bit of a learning curve at first and it can take some time to get fully comfortable with everything. Once you do though, it pretty much covers what you need.

“saves so much time”
Pros
Creating a charge is basically a click by click process in nextgen office especially with the "next" flow that makes everything simple. Submitting a charge feels simple and handling a refund afterward isn't a headache either you can finish it with a few basic steps without any major complications.
Cons
It could use a little improvement in the color theme since the current look doesn't quite feel polished or well balanced to me.

“Perfect for startups”
Pros
NextGen is incredibly user-friendly and didn't take much training to get comfortable with. I genuinely think it is among the top healthcare management platforms available. The interface is also simple and configurations are easy to set up. Overall it is perfect for new clinics getting started.
Cons
While I like how approachable the tool is for beginners, I noticed it lacks deep configurability needed for enterprise level or large scale deployments. I have also found it to be relatively pricey compared with other options.

“Reliable all in one platform”
Pros
I have found this to be a reliable platform for billing, scheduling and tracking patient information. What I appreciate is having everything bundled in a single system. Overall, it compares satisfactorily with other EMR programs I have used before.
Cons
I am bothered that this system isn't as automated as a few other platforms I have worked with in the past. I wish they would revamp the user interface and add more powerful patient-management features to make workflows smoother.
