quick navigation and document scanning

Pros

Navigating between screens and searching for the information I need feels very simple. Scanning in documents for future review is also simple and works well.

Cons

The only frustration is that logging in can take a while especially when there are updates or messages waiting.

Billing and support are fantastic

Pros

Everything about NueMD has worked really well for me. The billing software is very simple and my reimbursement rate increased to 98%. The scheduling tools are excellent too especially the color coding for different appointment sizes. Anytime I've run into a problem, their team has been there to help through live chat, phone or email. I'm the office manager and also handle billing so I often do billing work from home sometimes very late at night. Whenever I've had an issue and sent them an email, the solution was waiting in my inbox the next morning when I got back to work.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about them. The only slight disappointment was when NueMD and Sevocity split since we decided to keep Sevocity as our EHR. We haven't explored NueMD's EHR yet but if it performs anything like the billing and scheduling features, I'm sure it would be excellent. As for customer support, I have no complaints at all.. they've been amazing and consistently friendly.

Claim reports and clean workflow

Pros

Getting a patient entered, adding insurance details and creating a ticket all flows really well. It's also helpful that I can pull reports on transmitted claims for timely filing proof, along with acceptance and rejection reports when I need them.

Cons

Manual payment posting is still frustrating. Instead of handling everything in one step, you have to add separate transaction lines for the payment, adjustment and any patient responsibility. I'd rather have a single line where I can enter the allowed amount and have the adjustment calculate automatically plus fields for the payment amount and the patient's responsibility for copay, coinsurance and deductible.

helpful navigation and safeguards

Pros

Navigating this software feels very simple and it includes all the tools I need to make my work much easier. No matter where I go within the system, I can return to my original spot without any trouble. One thing I really appreciate is how difficult it is to lose information since the program prompts for needed details before letting you move forward.

Cons

The part that gives me trouble is the insurance section. When I already have a regular insurance on file and then need to add a one-time car insurance claim, I run into problems setting up the PIP insurance for just that specific claim.

versatile and built for practice needs

Pros

One thing that really stands out to me is how versatile this product is. The ability to build out your database for different types of practices, facilities and auxiliary providers is better than anything else I've used. It feels simple to navigate and it's clearly designed around the real day-to-day demands and challenges medical professionals deal with regularly.

Cons

Biggest downside is that there are times when switching between screens feels too slow.

online scheduling and billing win

Pros

Right from the start, NueMD has delivered exactly what we needed. The customer service has been excellent and the platform handles scheduling and billing really well. It also offers a wide range of reports that we rely on to pull data for PQRS and other important tasks. Having it online has been a big advantage too making the whole system hassle-free for our team.

Cons

It wasn't designed specifically for PT but it's flexible enough that we're still able to do everything we need without much trouble.

User-friendly with reliable support

Pros

Getting around the system is very simple and it doesn't take much time to understand how everything works. Whenever help is needed, LiveHelp is always available and very supportive.

Cons

My only complaint is that it can switch into safe mode a little too quickly at times but aside from that, I really love using it.

smooth switch to Nuemd

Pros

Moving over from our previous, very outdated software to NueMD was a simple process which made the transition much easier to manage.

Cons

The support line isn't consistently knowledgeable and there are times I'm not fully confident they'll be able to resolve my issues.

Flexible scheduling and clear layout

Pros

the layout makes everything simple to navigate. Having the option to manage multiple schedules is also a big plus.

Cons

The part that slows me down is the login process. There are times when I need to get in quickly but I still have to wait for the software to finish logging in.

Pros

Working with this cloud-based software has been pretty user-friendly and putting reports together is fairly simple.

Cons

Dealing with customer service especially the training department is annoying. Batch pay can also be a bit confusing.

Fantastic support and billing fit

Pros

Right from the start this software has worked perfectly for our five-provider medical practice. It handles all of our billing and reporting needs without any issues. The NueMD support team has also been excellent. Their online chat support is a huge plus because it cuts out all the back-and-forth of phone tag and voicemail. The continued help from the EDI department has been especially valuable in keeping cash flow moving consistently. Training the staff, including the providers, has also been very simple with this system.

Cons

Honestly I do not have any real complaints about the software or the company. There are just a few things I wish were available and they are probably specific to our practice rather than true product problems. For example, I would appreciate having more flexibility with the content and setup of monthly statements. Aside from a few practice-specific wishes like that, I still consider the product excellent.

helpful guides and clean navigation

Pros

The Guru Guides walk users through the product step by step which makes them really helpful for both training and troubleshooting. I also appreciate the claims log because it flags potential claim errors well before a remittance comes back from the insurance carrier. On top of that, the home screen offers a clear, quick display that makes navigating the software feel effortless.

Cons

My only real issue with this product is the limited claim customization in the Billing Manager screen, specifically under the CMS 1500 tab. That becomes a problem with certain claims especially MSP.

user-friendly and timely reports

Pros

The clearinghouse reports come through on time and learning the system didn't take much effort either.

Cons

The biggest frustration is that customer service wait times can be a bit long. I also don't like being tied into a contract and it seems like every time renewal comes around, the price goes up. Since all of my providers are small mental health practices, I really have to weigh whether the cost is worth what I'm bringing in. On top of that, I'm not really a fan of most of the reports.

reliable portal that keeps improving

Pros

Accessing what we need is simple. We've been using it for around six years and during that time we've seen the portal continue to evolve in ways that better support the needs of medical practices.

Cons

Helpful support every time

Pros

Using NueMD has been very simple. The system is user-friendly and the help desk is quick to respond whenever I need assistance. Getting in touch with someone is simple and the support team is always friendly and genuinely helpful.

Cons

The frustrating part is dealing with Java updates. After updating, I usually end up having to call support so someone can reverse it.

Pros

Being able to move through the system without trouble and access it from any computer was the part I appreciated most about this product.

Cons

One thing I didn't care for was the way some parts were designed. I'd recommend making the interface larger and using brighter colors.

User-friendly navigation and scheduler

Pros

Right away NueMD feels very user-friendly. Switching between modules is simple and the scheduler is simple enough that new employees can get comfortable with it quickly.

Cons

An area where it falls short is getting the data needed for business analysis. I'd really like to see more focus on building a stronger interface with Excel or similar software.

Pros
