all-in-one fit for every location

Pros

It's an all-in-one system that has everything we need to keep our work running, whether we're operating from Alaska or Florida.

Cons

At this point nothing stands out as a downside. The speed problem was resolved after we switched to fiber optic internet and upgraded our PCs to Dell OptiPlex and Precision T5810 machines.

Helpful chat and simple navigation

Pros

Having online chat support available whenever I need assistance is a big reason this product feels so user-friendly. It's also very simple to navigate which makes day-to-day use much easier.

Cons

The one part that can be a bit challenging is locating DME, mainly because different users enter it in different ways.

billing confidence in days

Pros

Within a week I was already using NueMD comfortably and I'm definitely not a computer expert. It didn't take long to learn and now I can handle everything an experienced biller would do. My younger staff may move through it faster than I do but the system is simple enough that anyone can pick it up quickly. Being able to keep all of our billing in-house has saved us both time and money.

Cons

Honestly I don't have anything negative to say about the product. It may cost a few dollars more than some other options but it has been completely worth it.

feature-packed and user-friendly

Pros

Using this product has been a really positive experience. It's cloud-based, very user-friendly and comes with plenty of features that make billing much simpler without making the system feel complicated to use.

Cons

There are still a few glitches on Macs because it's using Java 7 while Macs currently support Java 8. That said they're already working on a fix and it sounds like it should be resolved soon.

well-organized client pages

Pros

Navigating the system feels very simple with a clear layout that makes it simple to find exactly what you need. I also appreciate being able to enter as much information as necessary and the way each client has separate pages keeps everything organized really well.

Cons

At this point I honestly haven't come across anything about the program that I dislike.

user-friendly with helpful icons

Pros

Getting around NueMD feels very user friendly and the layout is simple to navigate. The colorful icons are especially useful and make it much easier to choose the right reports quickly.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the financial summary page. It would help if it were formatted in a clearer way for patients to read and understand since when I printed several of them during tax season some patients were confused by how the breakdown was presented.

fantastic support and usability

Pros

It's very user-friendly and the support team has been excellent whenever I've needed help.

simple billing experience

Pros

Right from the start, the billing side of NueMD has been very self-explanatory. We haven't used the EMR yet but that's coming soon. Up to this point, everything has been very simple to work with.

Cons

NueMD has been excellent overall and honestly I don't have any complaints about it.

The layout of the software is really simple and it's simple to use and pick up even if you're starting with no prior knowledge of the system.

Help chat is fantastic

Pros

Whenever I have questions, the team gets back to me quickly. The help chat line has been especially awesome.

Cons

I'd really like the option to add items to eclaims myself instead of having to wait a few weeks.

helpful newbie notes

Pros

Whenever a trainer isn't available, the step-by-step notes for new users have been really useful for finding answers.

Cons

The training takes quite a while to finish. Since I was short on time while launching my practice, the long training period has made things harder.

reliable and user-friendly

Pros

Using NueMD has been very simple and I rarely run into any issues while working in it.

Cons

Since it's cloud-based there can occasionally be some freezing if you're connected over WiFi. Because of that, I'd suggest having a dedicated internet connection to help prevent those interruptions even though they don't happen very often.

Convenient for staff and clinicians

Pros

Whether it's the front office team or the clinicians, everyone can use it without much trouble.

Cons

The only downside is that it can be a bit slow to start up in the morning but once you're signed in, it's very convenient to work with.

Pros

Getting to a patient's appointments is fast and simple and it makes viewing all of them in one place really convenient.

Cons

One limitation is that financial details and notes aren't accessible unless you're already in the patient module.

better claims, frustrating support

Pros

Switching from paper claims to electronic claims has been a huge improvement. At a previous office, we handled most claims on paper and it was such a hassle. Now, the only claims I still need to print are accident-related ones.

Cons

EDI and Support sometimes pass the issue back and forth. I've run into situations where each department told me to contact the other and nothing got resolved until I finally reached a supervisor who stepped in and sorted it out.

front-desk friendly and practical

Pros

it worked especially well in a front-desk setting. Once I got the hang of it, everything felt simple to use. I also really appreciated how quickly and effectively I could generate reports.
