Pros
From the start, NueMD has been hard to beat on pricing and the setup process was simple and user-friendly. The claims management screen is an excellent tool, the EHR integration works well and having the clearinghouse included adds even more value. The support staff has been fantastic and the user guides are incredibly helpful. One of the biggest highlights is the New Account rep, Michael Palmer. He was exceptional throughout the entire setup process, stayed involved until everything was finished and checked in regularly to make sure each step was moving along quickly. That level of follow-through is something I had never seen before. Usually, once the handoff to training and setup happens, the New Account rep disappears but that definitely was not the case here. Mr. Palmer was truly outstanding.
Cons
A/R report does not include patient information. That can be frustrating for old-school billers who really rely on detailed reports. Still, the claims management screen makes this much less of a problem because it shows the information you need and includes all the claims that would normally appear on those reports. Reporting can be customized and sorted to a point but the available options for customization and sorting are somewhat limited. They do offer additional reporting packages if more advanced reporting is needed. Another limitation is that only one session can be open at a time. Some billers prefer keeping multiple sessions open so they can handle calls and continue working without losing their place.

Pros
Getting a new practice up and running with NueMD was simple and it helped both the front desk and billing team start working productively in a short amount of time.
Cons
One thing I don't care for is the wait time for reports especially since most of my clients are smaller practices and not every report seems designed with that in mind.

we didn't find any real positives with this software.
Cons
Customer service has been very poor. We're constantly stuck on hold or forced to leave messages and after months we're still waiting for billing issues to be fixed. They may end up losing our business over this.

Using it day to day has been just as simple. It has worked extremely well for our multi-location office and the support team has been excellent whenever we needed help. Claims go through quickly and rejected claims have dropped to almost zero.
Cons
Honestly there is very little for me to criticize. It has been an excellent product overall and after using it for two years, I really do not have any complaints.

The system is simple to learn and the support team has been excellent whenever help is needed. It has made our billing process much more efficient, claims get paid faster and we are seeing fewer rejections. I also really appreciate that it is web-based since we can log in from anywhere with internet access. That is especially valuable when working across multiple locations.

The clearinghouse works very well and getting familiar with the system and documenting in it doesn't take long.
Cons
Printing receipts for patients isn't simple at all. Posting payments from ERA takes moving through several screens and customer service has been very poor.

The layout is really nice and simple to work through. A lot of the steps auto-fill for you and there's plenty of room to customize things as needed.
Cons
Since I usually enter charge tickets a day or two later, it would help a lot if the system kept the date in place instead of making me change it every time. The reports also take quite a while to generate.
