support issues and encounter setup

Pros

frustrating setup and weak support

Pros

Being cloud-based makes it convenient to access and it's also one of the more affordable options out there.

Cons

Getting started came with very little setup help. The training included at no extra cost wasn't nearly enough even for someone who is comfortable with computers. On top of that, trying to troubleshoot with customer service.. assuming you can reach them during their limited Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 hours.. often goes nowhere.

helpful support, repetitive claims

Smooth payments

Pros

The two biggest reasons I chose this product were how simple the software is to use and how well it handles service payment integration.

Cons

I haven't run into any downsides. Every experience has been positive and the training was simple with reviewers who were very knowledgeable.

user-friendly navigation and live chat

Pros

Navigating through NueMD feels very simple and being able to use the live chat whenever I run into a problem is really helpful.

Cons

One thing that's frustrating is not being able to transfer data from one place to another.

professional billing and invoicing

Pros

Entering EOB details into each ticket is very simple which saves time during daily work. The monthly billing process for patients is also simple to manage and the invoices come out looking polished and professional.

Cons

One issue has been with the SOAP note options for our chiropractic doctor. Because he sees a high volume of patients sometimes more than once in the same week, the SOAP notes are difficult for him to work with in this system. He would rather be able to carry over all the information from one visit to the next since many appointments are very similar but that was not possible with this program.

billing works really well

Pros

Handling my billing with NueMD has been very simple and convenient.

At times, the system freezes without warning and I have to log out and sign back in to get it working again.

reliable support and user-friendly EMR

Pros

Customer support has been outstanding.. honestly a 10/10. Submitting tickets and handling billing are both simple and the EMR is generally very user friendly. It's also nice to see the company continuing to make updates and improvements to the system.

Cons

The biggest challenges have been getting the documentation templates set up the way we need them and students have mentioned having trouble signing in to the online portal.

Cloud-based billing that works

Pros

Getting started was much easier thanks to our sales rep, who took the time to walk us through the software and explain the fees clearly. We ran into a few issues in the beginning but he helped us resolve them quickly. I really appreciate that it's cloud-based since I can work from anywhere. We also use Practice Fusion as our EMR and the integration between the two works really well. Sending superbills to NueMD is simple and we've seen our insurance denials drop to a very low level.

Cons

Posting payments can be a bit tedious at times but with the training we received and the user manual, we're still able to get everything done on time.

responsive support and billing flow

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how quickly the customer service team responds. The billing management system is also very simple to work with, from the moment a ticket is opened all the way through to completion.

Cons

The training could be more consistent since the manual and videos do not always line up with the instructions or feedback provided by customer service.

fast support and simple workflow

Pros

Right from the beginning, the vendor stayed very responsive through the entire process. Anytime we had a question or ran into an issue, they got back to us quickly and resolved it fast. The software itself is very simple to navigate and moving from one task to another feels smooth. Being able to reach tech support with just one click is a really valuable feature. Overall this is by far the most user-friendly software I've worked with.

Cons

One thing that has been frustrating is the auto-populate feature when entering a diagnosis or CPT code. It can fill in the wrong code if you're not careful and we've had claims denied because the incorrect code slipped through.

Pros

The platform is simple to use, the billing tools work really well and the overall cost is very reasonable.

Cons

The biggest frustration has been how training and setup are handled. Having to schedule one training block at a time and then wait weeks to book the next one makes the whole process feel unnecessarily drawn out.

Pros

Being cloud-based is a big plus because it lets me work from the office, from home and even while I'm on vacation or traveling for business.

Cons

Claim scrubbing and quick code entry

Pros

During charge entry it's really convenient to add new CPT codes, ICD-10 codes and insurance companies on the spot without breaking the workflow. Being able to validate and scrub all claims, then choose exactly which ones to transmit or hold, is also a feature I really appreciate.

Cons

One thing that slows me down is not having a hotkey to jump from patient demographics to the insurance tab. I have to pause every time and use the mouse which feels inefficient.

hidden fees and no support

Honestly there wasn't anything worthwhile about it. We ended up dealing with hidden charges that were never disclosed upfront.

Cons

On top of the base cost, they bill you for every 500MB of data storage. They also added an extra 1% charge on copays even though they weren't involved in collecting them at all. Getting any help is nearly impossible because they don't return calls. After several months, we still haven't been able to enter even one note. The whole operation feels badly managed.. they promise everything during the sale, then disappear once you've signed on.

cardiology workflow done right

Pros

Right from the start NueMD has fit our cardiology practice really well. The system is very simple to use and includes everything we need day to day. The EHR templates are highly customizable, the ICD codes stay up to date and the whole patient encounter process is much more organized. Our cardiologists spend less time typing or dictating reports now which means they get more face-to-face time with patients. Overall the software has made our practice more efficient and added real value. We can also sync our ultrasound and nuclear imaging reports directly into each patient's chart without any hassle and sending encounter information to referring physicians is just as effortless. On top of that, the support team has been the biggest bonus.. they're consistently kind, helpful and very accommodating.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints. The pricing is very competitive compared with other EHR systems and it's surprising how many vendors charge more while offering less. NueMD really delivers excellent value for the money.
