helpful notes and solid support

Pros

the online help is useful and honestly just about everything in it has been really nice to work with. The downloadable notes are also very helpful.

Cons

There really is not much I dislike. Customer service has been awesome and I honestly do not have anything bad to say about NueMD. It has been terrific.

user-friendly setup and navigation

Pros

The layout is user friendly, simple to navigate and since this was my first time working with electronic records, the transition ended up feeling very smooth.

Cons

NueMD does have an iPad app but from what I can tell, it doesn't refresh my calendar often enough for me to depend on it. The software itself works very well; I just wish I could reliably check my schedule without needing to open my laptop.

customizable and user-friendly ehr

Pros

Compared with other EHR systems this one is much more user-friendly once you've been trained on it. The customization options are also a big plus and overall it's a solid product.

Cons

One thing I'm somewhat unhappy with is the amount of training provided. It's not an issue with the trainer at all.. I just wish there had been more of it. There are still a lot of features and functions I haven't fully figured out yet. On top of that, the program tends to freeze whenever you hit save which is really inconvenient in a busy doctor's office where everything moves quickly. Since it runs on Java, it can also be a bit temperamental.

affordable and user-friendly

Pros

Navigating the software feels very simple and using it doesn't take much effort at all. The low cost is also a big plus.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any negatives to point out. Up to this point, I haven't had any bad experience with them at all.

helpful reports but limited data export

Pros

Having everything in a cloud-based system with data stored online makes it simple to access our client information and it removes the hassle of maintaining our own servers. The reporting tools are also useful for guiding business decisions and keeping up with administrative follow-up tasks.

Cons

A few data points still aren't as accessible in reports as I'd like. We can search and find the information but if it were available through a report, we could export it and divide the work across our admin team more efficiently. Relying on search for that data makes the process a bit harder.

user-friendly from day one

Pros

Starting a new job with unfamiliar software had me expecting a long learning curve but NueMD turned out to be very user friendly. I was able to work independently on my first day and by day three I no longer needed any help from my supervisor to get around the system.

Cons

The system does occasionally glitch or freeze but it's not a major issue since every program tends to have small hiccups now and then.

quick rollout and cost savings

Pros

Switching to NueMD was quick and budget-friendly for us. We started using it in October and were already live by November which says a lot about how fast the system was to learn and get up and running. At this point I really don't have any complaints and I'm very happy we decided to go with NueMD.

Cons

Biggest frustration has been the wait time for return calls. When a ticket gets created, it can take a while before a rep responds. That said once they do get back to us, they usually resolve the issue pretty quickly.

versatile tracking for our team

Pros

Instead of using it for patient scheduling, we rely on it for several other things. It works really well for keeping up with our marketing efforts, client information and clinician records all in one place.

Cons

The only frustration is when I'm entering company names because the character limit isn't long enough and I run out of space.

Reliable billing and quick eligibility

Pros

Getting started with NueMD feels simple whether you're new to medical billing and coding or have been doing it for years. It also works really well for doctors although our team mostly relies on it for patient entry and charge entry. Eligibility checks are fast and convenient and the service overall has been really solid.

Cons

It doesn't happen often but NueMD can occasionally run a little slow. We noticed that during the ICD9 to ICD10 transition, support and service slowed down for about a day but things recovered very quickly after that.

user-friendly and very functional

Pros

As an old-school therapist who isn't especially tech-savvy, I've had no trouble using this software. It's very functional, simple to navigate and didn't take long to learn. The overall quality has also been really good.

Cons

I run into little glitches when connecting although that could just as easily be related to my internet provider.

powerful fit for our wellness center

Pros

From the start NueMD has been a strong match for what we need in both our medical and counseling services. It offers more functionality than we've even tapped into so far but as our Wellness Center keeps expanding, we're gradually making better use of those capabilities. The vendor was very supportive during setup and training and they've continued to be easy to reach for quick guidance and consultation during our daily work.

Cons

The manuals could definitely be written more clearly although the staff is available when we need answers or direction.

Fast billing and era posting

Pros

Electronic billing is quick and simple and posting ERAs is just as simple.

user-friendly workflow and exceptional support

Pros

Right from the start NueMD has been very user friendly. The customer service has been exceptional and the training and setup were simple to follow. Reports are quick to access and claim information is always readily available. I also appreciate being able to see details on unpaid claims which helps keep cash flow consistent. On top of that, the resubmission process is simple.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints. The only thing I'd love to see is an added feature in the ticket menu that would let you print a statement directly from a ticket.

Pros

The product is very user-friendly and it can be customized to fit an individual user's preferences.

Cons

Honestly there's very little I can say negatively about the product or the vendor. The only issue I ran into was one time when it was hard to reach a live person by phone because all of the trainers were busy in sessions.

Responsive tech support follow-up

Pros

When I reached out about problems with Java and getting the program to run, the tech support team at NueMD stepped in right away. Once customer service directed me to the right department, support stayed on top of the issue and didn't leave me hanging until everything was fixed. They even called me the next day to make sure everything was still working well which I really appreciated.

Cons

At this point I'm still learning how to use all of the functions fully. The part I'm currently trying to get more familiar with is the scheduling feature.

billing and scheduling together

Pros

Having billing and scheduling in the same system has been really helpful for our practice. We can handle both tasks for patients without jumping between different programs which keeps everything more organized and convenient.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is entering diagnosis codes. After the fourth code, I wish I could just press tab or enter and move straight to the date field to continue entering the ticket. When I only have four codes, having to stop in the middle and click to get to the next step breaks the flow.

batch posting works brilliantly

Pros

One feature we really appreciate is being able to post payments straight to patient accounts through NueMD's batch system.

Cons

There's very little about this product that we don't like. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the reporting module.. we'd love to see it developed into something more comprehensive.

outstanding support and smart reporting

Pros

Customer service has been exceptional across the board, whether by phone, email or especially through the live chat. Scheduling is quick, simple to manage and the reporting tools give the practice valuable insight into how it operates.

Cons

After 13 years of using it I honestly haven't run into any issues. The company has consistently been willing to offer helpful advice on upgrades and available features.

helpful support and strong access

Pros

Getting into the system is very simple and moving around in it is simple as well. It works really well across every department and the customer service team has been excellent and very helpful which means a lot.

Cons

It's a little too simple to create duplicate accounts so stronger warning prompts would really help.

the team is consistently quick to respond whenever questions or issues come up.

Cons

The vendor has never been an issue at all. The only trouble I ran into was when entering insurance companies but that has already been resolved.
