I like how all patient info is consolidated in one place and the versatility of creating reports directly from the PMS.
Cons
Some workflows need improvement. For instance, adding spell check to text messaging and document creation would be helpful. Its also frustrating that I cannot refer back to a patient record while creating a text or document. I have to copy and paste, then switch back and forth, which is cumbersome. Additionally, finding where the templates are located is quite difficult due to the lack of a search feature.

Everything has been problematic, and their support is poor. I switched my bank accounts for transactions on July 1, 2024. I received deposits into the new account without issues until July 16th when they put my account on "hold" for "further verification." Despite sending a months worth of bank statements, they said it was not sufficient because it lacked the routing number. Providing a voided check did not help either, as they claimed the business name on the check (the company LLC) did not match the patient name on my PatientNow account (my DBA). Now, 10 days into this mess, I have not received a single deposit and multiple calls and unanswered emails have not resolved the issue.

Patient Now helped us build a fully functional website that allows patients to find and interact with us. The site also lets patients send direct service requests, which has increased our volume and expanded our client base. They have done a great job managing our SEO and communicate well to understand our needs which helps to attract patients based on those needs.
Cons
The cost can be quite high for me, especially as a smaller practice with limited resources. It makes it harder for me to justify the expense with a tighter budget.

“Overpriced software for managing photos

I find the filters and tags really useful for keeping things organized and finding what I need quickly.
Cons
The software is extremely slow. When a client has 100 or more photos, it takes 30 seconds or longer to load. The cropping feature is poorly designed; after cropping, confirming, and saving (which takes about 15 seconds), it returns to the full client record, which can take another 30 seconds to load. Going through this process for 10 photos is exhausting. There's no way to move directly to the next photo without going back to the full record. It's also very expensive, especially since many of the forms, templates, and educational resources are available for free elsewhere, making it hard to justify the high price. You can get a fully-featured PhotoDoc for less than a quarter of the cost. Additionally, the app is only available for iPhone users, so anyone without an iPhone or iPad is left out. PhotoDoc, however, works on both iOS and Android. The customer service is good, but it’s only useful if you don't need real assistance. When I signed up, I was told I could cancel at any time and download my images. However, after they raised the subscription price without notice, I had to go through a frustrating process to try to get a refund.

After acquiring RXPhoto, they aggressively raised the price and then continued billing our credit card even after we canceled. Attempts to contact the customer success team have gone unanswered, and their billing team keeps directing me to the customer success team. Its a frustrating situation.

I have made several suggestions to update some features, but none have ever been considered. One particular request is the ability to select which quotes to email or print. With multiple quotes, I cannot just pick the ones I want to print. I have to either print them all or individually select each one, which is a hassle especially when patients have had several quotes over the years.

The only thing I like about PatientNOW is their website build. The team did an amazing job creating our new site. Unfortunately, that is where my praise ends.
Cons
We were sold a system that was supposed to be an all in one solution, including EMR, advertising software, payment software and more. Instead, we now have four different platforms that we need to log into separately, even though they are supposed to talk to each other. Its very complicated and frustrating to use.
