Great software for behavioral health providers or facilities!

Pros

Once I was trained on the software, it became user-friendly. If I have a question or forgot how to do a task, it's easy to log on to the PIMSY help desk and reference videos or PDF files on most topics. In addition, the software is updated frequently based on industry demands, and PIMSY is willing to accommodate most needs specific to each company. It's also nice to be able to log in remotely to check the calendar for upcoming appointments.

Cons

There is no way for me to calculate or track the out-of-pocket maximum for patients within the system. At times, this can make it hard not to overcharge patients. At times, I will lose connection since the program is cloud-based. When the connection is lost, the information that was being entered can potentially be lost as well. Because of this, an autosave feature would be nice.

Pros

This software is so easy to use! I'm not an electronics or software person, and typically, if something has too many steps, I give up and ask someone for help quickly. With PIMSY, the software is very user-friendly, and even I can create what we need for our agency with no frustrations, and actually have fun while doing it!

Cons

The payroll system does not have all that I need. However, with that said, the PIMSY team has been tenacious, has had constant follow-up after each change, and continues to work with me to be able to create the payroll form we need, and our payroll company needs.

Pimsy has an amazing staff and they are always helpful

Pros

Their flexibility to create notes and forms is superb. Knowing I can create everything we need and if I get caught in a snag or can't figure out what's going on, the Pimsy team are always on top of it and willing to help with an amazing attitude. I could not ask for a better team.

Cons

I would like for remits to attach a PDF directly to the claim, and for the line items to stay on one continuous line instead of extra lines being populated when working a claim.

Very Happy with PIMSY EHR

Pros

Inspiring Minds Inc.'s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program needed an affordable EHR system to help streamline the services we provide to our clients and be affordable on a very tight budget. We found exactly what we needed in PIMSY. There are many reasons PIMSY Mental Health EHR works for us. Here are my top three: setup was a breeze and didn't require a lot of work on our part PIMSY did all the heavy lifting; PIMSY trained our staff on the new system. When we were first introduced to the PIMSY system, it was a little overwhelming because of its many capabilities. The support staff at PIMSY spent many months training our staff on the parts of the system that pertain to our program. PIMSY support is out of this world. After training was completed and our EHR system was up and running, we were not on our own, PIMSY support was right there with us every step of the way. Every time there was a problem with the system, PIMSY support was there. If our staff needed to be retrained on any part of the system, someone was there to walk them through it again. After we became more proficient with the system and realized that additional forms were needed, PIMSY support helped with that also. I would recommend PIMSY to anyone with a mental health business of any size needing a reliable EHR system. It simply works great.

Cons

I have no complaints, it is a large system with many capabilities, and not all may be useful to my particular program.

Very user friendly with outstanding customer support

Pros

My experience with PIMSY has been remarkably positive. Some of the things I like about this software are: excellent customer service, many useful reports, high levels of satisfaction among our staff, very stable, highly customizable, and a one-stop shop for scheduling, notes, payroll, billing, etc.

Cons

I honestly can't identify anything I dislike about this system.

Comprehensive-User Friendly Product

Pros

What I like most: The PIMSY team, they make implementation and setup so easy. Trainers are very accessible to address issues. I love how I can set up the record to capture the data required for our specific needs, and the reports are very useful. Having the Human Resource personnel file in the system makes tracking training, credentials, and insurance network information easy and accessible. The user profile can be created so staff can access certain items in their personnel file, which saves time with our limited resources.

Cons

I wish I could access it via a smartphone.

I think it is incredibly user-friendly and fits perfectly with our business objectives. The customer support could not be any better.

Cons

PIMSY Mental Health EHR revieww

Pros

I like that I can customize some portions to meet our needs. The system is user-friendly, easy to use, and learn. I love the renewal portions, so we are always up to date on our stuff.

Cons

Some of the updates were not user-friendly. However, they made an option so I can use the old version, so it's all good!

PIMSY allows our business to grow successfully

Pros

PIMSY has allowed our Non-Profit to be productive and successful at an affordable cost. Scheduling, medical records, coordination with Pediatricians, and billing in one system is simple. PIMSY's functionality improves every year with insightful integrations that continue to make running a busy mental health office easier. The billing and customer service teams are undeniably amazing!

Cons

PIMSY works hard every year to improve their software and meet the needs of their customers. Understanding the initial build well is critical, and taking the time to carefully learn and review options will ease any long-term stress for me.

Steep learning curve

Pros

There are lots of features and customization options. It's good for administration and billing. However, this software tries to be the best at many things and falls short.

Cons

Pimsy EHR is a decent practice management software.

Pros

I found Pimsy pretty easy to use. I love the reminders, for example, if I forget to write a client note. I love that I can build a report and add documents as needed. The functionality of the product is really good.

Cons

Learning the software is a bit of a learning curve because I can customize so much. The billing side of the software was difficult to navigate, but support was helpful.

Pros

Clunky software

Pros

This product offers good features for billing and notes. There are automatic preset notes for progress reports. It's easy to look at each client's chart/file, bringing up all notes, demographic info, billing, etc.

Cons

This product can only operate on Windows, and it runs VERY slow. I always have to refresh the calendar to make any changes. The phone app is also very old and has very limited features.

PIMSY is exactly what we needed as a small non-profit agency and behavioral health provider.

Pros

With a variety of payment sources outside of the typical self-pay and private insurance, PIMSY has been responsive to my requests for custom reports, invoicing, and processes to help streamline billing. It has enabled me to be more aware of and efficient with my time and recognize where I need to improve in efficiency and organizational processes. The reviewing and auditing features took us from 80% compliance to 99.8% compliance in one year! My therapists find it easy to document services, and my billing coordinator loves the accuracy in reporting and client data management. The training was flexible and responsive, and everyone I've worked with has been incredibly friendly. As a small not-for-profit, cost was a factor for us. We've gotten a lot of bang for our buck with this system, and it was worth the investment!

Cons

There are so many features, settings, and ways to customize PIMSY that sometimes the number of buttons, menus, and options can be overwhelming. PIMSY customer support is accessible, helpful, and quick to answer my questions, but sometimes I feel like I have to click five menus and twenty buttons before I fix a problem.

Excellent EHR with extensive feature set

Pros

PIMSY EHR is an entire practice management software package. Not only does it document and organize patient charts well, but it also offers many practice management tools that add value to the organization. PIMSY's customer support is responsive, motivated, and thorough.

Cons

There has been the occasional lag when using the system. However, it has improved every few months with ongoing updates to the software.

A powerful yet very affordable system geared for behavioral health .

Pros

The software has everything I could want in terms of functionality for an EHR: automated billing, a nice scheduler that clinicians can perform all their tasks from (notes, etc.), an extensive online patient portal, patient reminders, alerts, an easy-to-use catalog of diagnosis codes, custom note templates, and surveys. They thought of everything I could want and more, and it offers a lot of customization.

Cons

There are some things with the interface I don't like. I would like to see better ability to drag and drop appointments on the calendar. Also, a dropdown on the calendar that has a list of all appointments for a patient when I have a specific patient selected would be very helpful rather than having to flip back through the calendar. I feel like some of the Excel-based lists where things are stored, such as patient documents, look kind of bare bones, though some improvements have been made. Most importantly, I would like to see PIMSY partner with a clearinghouse and integrate it into the software. This would make billing that much easier.

PIMSY EHR for Behavioral Health Provider

Pros

The program is indeed "intuitive," just as the PIMSY sales staff described. I received excellent support during onboarding and setup. I value the customizable alerts, prompts, and lists for tracking treatment authorizations, patient documents, billing/claims, and staff credentialing. It supports payroll calculations and allows me to customize the patient portal to include necessary documents and behavioral health surveys.

Cons

I find the font size difficult to read when scrolling through lists with multiple options. I'm also unable to print medical claims and billing directly from the website, which is frustrating.

PIMSY is an evolving system to use, it's customer service is second to none

Pros

PIMSY is definitely evolving. I like being able to discuss with customer service what is working and what is not, and the development team is willing to find fixes to accommodate our needs. After working with PIMSY and learning the system for about six months, I find their customer service remarkable. They always take the time to walk me through any issues, and if they don't have an answer, they make sure to follow up and resolve the situation.

Cons

I wish PIMSY had more features, such as the ability to set start and stop dates/times for separate schedules for clinicians. There is a significant learning curve when starting anything new, but at least I have their support team and can use the chat forum when I can't be on the phone.

The training and customer service is exceptional. The program is a compliment to our services.

Pros

I enjoy that I can customize reports and constantly view accurate data. These reports help me assess patient care quality measures, audit counselor notes, and monitor financial records and income flow.

Cons

Like any system, there are issues such as speed and restrictions. My least favorite aspect is the billing department's inability to print an invoice or file Secondary Insurance electronically.
