I've been using PIMSY since 2015 and I honestly appreciate how much support I've received over the years. As a solo practitioner, it has taken a huge amount of administrative weight off my shoulders. I was given one-on-one help customizing the system to how I work including how I process visual information. Submitting claims, handling payments, scheduling, documentation and secure video sessions are all built into one setup, which keeps everything connected. The automatic switch to backup video when the main provider went down once was a life saver. I also like that updates are clearly communicated. The support team stands out in how quick and genuine they are, and I've seen them actually take user suggestions seriously. Even after natural disasters affected their local area, the system never went down. The pricing feels fair for what I'm able to do inside one platform and I recommend it to anyone needing an EHR that supports compliance, billing and documentation all in one space.
Cons
I honestly don't have a complaint here. Anytime I needed something changed or needed clarification, their team responded and helped me work through it.

I love how customizable Pimsy is. While other systems in the same price range might be a bit more user-friendly, they are highly cookie-cutter in nature and lack the customization options that Pimsy allows. I found that other systems with similar customization features were MUCH higher in cost. These features enable me to run unique reports and gather very specific (and extensive) data for research efforts. I also found the amount of development time included in the startup rates very generous. My staff have no problem navigating the system after the usual learning curve. Pimsy has been a huge time-saver on both the clinical and administrative fronts.
Cons
I feel like Pimsy is on par with competitors and gives the most value for the money. There are very few obstacles that the Pimsy team has not been able to either resolve or identify a workaround for.

If I have a question or forgot how to do a task, it's easy to log on to the PIMSY help desk and reference videos or PDF files on most topics. It's also nice to be able to log in remotely to check the calendar for upcoming appointments.

There is no way for me to calculate or track the out-of-pocket maximum for patients within the system. At times, this can make it hard not to overcharge patients. At times, I will lose connection since the program is cloud-based. When the connection is lost, the information that was being entered can potentially be lost as well. Because of this, an autosave feature would be nice.

Inspiring Minds Inc.'s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program needed an affordable EHR system to help streamline the services we provide to our clients and be affordable on a very tight budget. We found exactly what we needed in PIMSY. There are many reasons PIMSY Mental Health EHR works for us. Here are my top three: setup was a breeze and didn't require a lot of work on our part PIMSY did all the heavy lifting; PIMSY trained our staff on the new system. When we were first introduced to the PIMSY system, it was a little overwhelming because of its many capabilities. The support staff at PIMSY spent many months training our staff on the parts of the system that pertain to our program. PIMSY support is out of this world. After training was completed and our EHR system was up and running, we were not on our own, PIMSY support was right there with us every step of the way. Every time there was a problem with the system, PIMSY support was there. If our staff needed to be retrained on any part of the system, someone was there to walk them through it again. After we became more proficient with the system and realized that additional forms were needed, PIMSY support helped with that also. I would recommend PIMSY to anyone with a mental health business of any size needing a reliable EHR system. It simply works great.

With a variety of payment sources outside of the typical self-pay and private insurance, PIMSY has been responsive to my requests for custom reports, invoicing, and processes to help streamline billing. It has enabled me to be more aware of and efficient with my time and recognize where I need to improve in efficiency and organizational processes. The reviewing and auditing features took us from 80% compliance to 99.8% compliance in one year! My therapists find it easy to document services, and my billing coordinator loves the accuracy in reporting and client data management. The training was flexible and responsive, and everyone I've worked with has been incredibly friendly. As a small not-for-profit, cost was a factor for us. We've gotten a lot of bang for our buck with this system, and it was worth the investment!
Cons
There are so many features, settings, and ways to customize PIMSY that sometimes the number of buttons, menus, and options can be overwhelming. PIMSY customer support is accessible, helpful, and quick to answer my questions, but sometimes I feel like I have to click five menus and twenty buttons before I fix a problem.

The software has everything I could want in terms of functionality for an EHR: automated billing, a nice scheduler that clinicians can perform all their tasks from (notes, etc.), an extensive online patient portal, patient reminders, alerts, an easy-to-use catalog of diagnosis codes, custom note templates, and surveys. They thought of everything I could want and more, and it offers a lot of customization.
Cons
There are some things with the interface I don't like. I would like to see better ability to drag and drop appointments on the calendar. Also, a dropdown on the calendar that has a list of all appointments for a patient when I have a specific patient selected would be very helpful rather than having to flip back through the calendar. I feel like some of the Excel-based lists where things are stored, such as patient documents, look kind of bare bones, though some improvements have been made. Most importantly, I would like to see PIMSY partner with a clearinghouse and integrate it into the software. This would make billing that much easier.

After working with PIMSY and learning the system for about six months, I find their customer service remarkable. They always take the time to walk me through any issues, and if they don't have an answer, they make sure to follow up and resolve the situation.

I wish PIMSY had more features, such as the ability to set start and stop dates/times for separate schedules for clinicians. There is a significant learning curve when starting anything new, but at least I have their support team and can use the chat forum when I can't be on the phone.

Not all features work all the time. It is hit and miss. Just saving a document is difficult. I cannot upload additional documents into the system. Customer service and responsiveness are basically nonexistent.

Cons
Other than errors that pop up every once in a while, there is not a lot of negative to say about it. What system doesn't have an error every once in a while?!

PIMSY has allowed us to maintain more complete records for our clients and provides the ease to pull information and reports promptly. Our documentation process has become substantially more standardized, ensuring consistent information for any client.
Cons
Since I do not need some of the functions, I have had to find "work arounds" for a few items, but the support team has always found solutions for me.

When I first spoke with our representative, I had 100% confidence that he understood our needs and how to tailor the product to fit us perfectly. He did not try to sell us anything unnecessary. His understanding of the healthcare industry and all office aspects gave us relief, knowing his guidance and support were part of the plan. Each interaction from there was excellent, from the IT guys helping us understand what we needed in the office to billing our first client, handled with patience and professionalism.
Cons
I am still learning all that PIMSY has to offer and look forward to growing into this program.
