Great help desk and scanning tool

Pros

The help desk is fantastic. The software is simlpe and does what I require. The scanning tool is a lifesaver making up for not having a direct link to labs and imaging centers.

Cons

Didn't make full use of all its tools so any missing features like patient text alerts or sending faxes directly from a chart were likely due to my own setup not the software.

Pros

It works for basic practice operations.

Cons

The service. The billing side is awful! Many of my claims were rejected for simple modifier errors. They should be the specialists in this but that isn't true.

Simple since 2005!

Pros

I began using this EMR back in 2005. It was set up for a Pain Management clinic and has always been simple to operate.

Cons

If the note layouts aren't set up correctly, they can create problems when generating the final report. It requires some work to adjust the templates and fix these issues.

Amazing support team

Pros

The support team is amazing! Whenever I had a problem or a request I was always blown away by how fast a representative would reach out and how they were consistently able to assist me or find a solution.

Cons

Honestly there's nothing I didn't like. Most of the gaps were due to services they offered that I chose not to use. I'd strongly suggest taking all the available options to get the most from the platform.

Pros

Their smooth handling of countless different requests and their genuine effort at every step to tackle problems. Their readiness to talk things through and really try to grasp each specific situation.

Cons

The wait time for repairs and new features. Extra fees for updating digital paperwork, system connections and data table reports.

Simpler than other systems

Pros

It's much simpler to operate compared to other, more clunky systems. I've used it since 2012 without any problems. The technical team is exceptional.

Cons

I can't think of any downsides. Switching between the patient chart and the billing section was so fast letting you easily track payments while working in the EMR.

Well-organized daily process

Pros

The daily process is well-organized for users. The EMR is simple for administrators to adjust. The developers can build connections with outside sources to automate data sharing.

Cons

There aren't enough developers to build custom requests in a reasonable timeframe.

Fair value for the cost

Pros

I've been using this "free" EMR as a bonus with PrognoCIS RCM since 2013, and it has done a pretty great job. It covers the basics well, comes with a patient portal and is bundled right along with PrognoCIS billing, which makes things convenient. And whenever there is a tech issue, I have noticed they really focus on getting everything back up quickly, so the downtime has always been under a day. Customer service is outsourced but super enthusiastic and helpful, which makes a big difference when I need support.

Cons

It feels to me that the programming was developed over time, which has led to some annoying redundancies, inconsistencies and occasional glitches. As medicine has gotten more complex, features that used to be included are now considered add-ons, which ends up increasing the cost.

Honestly, there's nothing I really liked about it. We basically had to create all our own templates for everything like billing and documentation.

Cons

Client service is poor. Honestly, the worst. They bill for services they didn't provide and resist any attempt to help resolve the issues we are facing.

Pros

Nothing. We practically had to construct all our own layouts from billing to clinical notes.

Cons

Terrible customer service. The absolute worst !! They will charge for work not done and fight you every step of the way when you try to fix the problems.

PrognoCIS is a dependable EHR solution

Pros

Our practice has been using PrognoCIS since 2008. The support team is very responsive, and we usually have a solution to any issues or requests quickly. They are forward-thinking and have the tools in place for any upcoming changes to CMS, Meaningful Use, Telemedicine, etc. I have worked closely with their team since day one to adapt the system to fit the needs of our pain clinic. They have created customized reports and templates for us, a referral tracking system, and many other helpful tools. I cant imagine using any other EHR!

Cons

There are no cons that I can think of.

A complete and easy-to-use EMR

Pros

I am a pediatrician and have been using PrognoCIS for over 8 years now. This EMR is super easy to use and learn, really quick and you can customize just about everything to fit your needs. The electronic prescriptions and billing are always spot-on, and I have never had any issues with the security of my patients medical info. Plus it connects smoothly to the CAIR program and other systems which is a big plus. Customer service has always been great as they are always quick to respond, very helpful and professional.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything that I dislike.

Pros

I have been using PrognoCIS with my podiatry practice since 2010/2011, and of all the EHR systems, it is by far the best. The system is very user-friendly for all staff, including my physicians. We utilize the billing system with the company as well. Overall, it has helped the practice run very smoothly. They are always available if we have any issues, which is rare, and are always willing to help with anything that I might need. I would highly recommend PrognoCIS to anyone looking for an EHR system.

A happy user!!!!

Pros

My office has been using PrognoCIS for over ten years and we are pretty happy with it. The scheduling tool is easy to work with, and it's flexible enough to handle things beyond just patient appointments which is really handy. Also I love that the prescription page shows all the meds prescribed on one screen instead of having to create separate entries for each one, like some other EMRs require. It is also easy to find progress notes or any other entries in a patient's chart. Tech support has always been responsive when we need them, which I really appreciate. I did definitely recommend this system.

Cons

No downsides at all. Everything is going well for us.

Constant problems, extremely poor implementations

Pros

Honestly nothing. It's been a constant problem from the very beginning.

Cons

The rollout was extremely poor. Promised features like a specific compliance module never arrived. Using them for billing was a major error. When we took billing back we discovered thousands had been billed incorrectly or never followed up on.

A pleasant experience so far

Pros

I really like the single sign-on feature as it makes things so much simpler. The user interface is easy to navigate and it's all pretty user-friendly. The billing system is also fairly easy to use, which saves me time. Plus, all the MACRA/QPP updates and updates for CPT, ICD and HCPCS codes are included, which makes it even better.

Cons

Nothing negative to mention, but I did say customer service could be better.

Easy to customize to fit your needs

Pros

PrognoCIS is highly customizable. The default setup might seem a bit basic at first but don't let that stop you from trying it out as they'll tailor it to fit exactly what you need. The implementation process was smooth, and my account manager was great. He was really patient with all the tweaks and adjustments I requested. Honestly, it's worth getting their RCM service because you get the EMR and PM for free, which is a nice bonus.

Cons

The feedback process takes a bit longer than usual, and that is something they definitely need to work on. Also, their tech support sometimes is not as quick as I'd like in solving issues.
