Sadly, the company in which I work for contracted you all out as our EMR provider. It seems as if almost on a weekly basis the server/system is down, for reasons unknown (no-one provides with an explanation), and takes a significant amount of time to be up and running effectively again; this is incredibly frustrating due to the fact that my peers and I are unable to do our jobs and consequently have to play "catch-up" due to such an incompetent system.

I've found the interface really user friendly and the built-in tech like the AI sidekick makes things smoother. Plus the support team is super responsive and helpful. The rollout was seamless as their onboarding crew clearly planned every detail. I use this platform every day and my experience has been excellent so far. They also partner with plenty of useful services for integrations, covering things like faxing, merchant processors, RTM capabilities and home exercise program software.
Cons
For a solo small-business owner like me, the onboarding process is incredibly detailed and can feel overwhelming. I also wish the platform offered more mature cash-based billing tools for practices that don't submit insurance claims. Another frustration is the limited merchant processor choice as they currently permit only a single vendor and I'd really prefer having additional payment integration options.

I like several of the features built into Prompt and I find the billing section to be generally simple and easy to navigate without much hassle.
Cons
Honestly I feel it's extremely overpriced for what it delivers. Most useful capabilities are behind add-ons, so I pay a huge amount just to get the basic EMR functionality I need. The customer support has been awful. Multiple people respond to the same email thread, so I rarely get a clear, single answer. Also the responses are slow and I usually find the solution online before they get back to me. It is not very user-friendly overall. Completing notes takes ages and while the AI features work intermittently, they are unreliable enough that they often slow me down. Templates are useful to a point but there is still a lot of unnecessary clicking to assemble each note. Plus the system is glitchy as it randomly logs me out, forcing me to refresh, reopen the tab and hunt down my note. The ERA enrollment instructions I received were wrong and wasted time and I was given incorrect information multiple times about using the billing tab and submitting claims. The platform marks claims as rejected when they aren't, so I waste time chasing non-existent problems. Signed progress notes or POCs do not always get their signed status updated properly, leaving them in the unsigned documents tab. This forces me to fax again if I'm not careful, raising our SRfax costs and irritating providers with duplicate documents. Overall it creates more work for me than it saves.

Prompt is extremely user-friendly and it has made training new team members much simpler. Plus being web-based, I can access it from anywhere which I like a lot. Moreover the ability to either download full reports or just glance at a quick summary is something I really like. Their support team is also consistently responsive and helpful whenever I ask for new features.
Cons
Occasionally I notice the system lags right after an update is applied. But for the most part any glitches get sorted out pretty quickly.

The interface is also user friendly and offers a lot of customization, which has greatly simplified how we handle documentation and scheduling. Overall the system is faster and easier to use than any other EMR platforms we've tried before.
Cons
After some updates, I have experienced occasional crashes that interrupt workflow. Also the exercise flowsheet used to be one continuous page but now is split across several pages which I find less convenient.

Plus the software itself is polished and fast and it is clear they designed it with every role in mind, from front desk staff to therapists to billers. Gone are the days of hopping between multiple platforms as everything lives inside one powerful ecosystem now, which saves us a tremendous amount of time and frustration. What stands out most is their customer support. Every person I have interacted with truly cares about making sure our experience is positive and that the product fits our workflows. During implementation and onboarding, the support team played a crucial role in getting us established for success. We transitioned billing in-house for the first time, and the team gave us the knowledge and confidence to manage that area clearly and efficiently, taking time to understand our policies so the setup matched how we operate. The team always made me feel our needs were a priority and would find solutions for even the smallest issues. Our collection rate climbed significantly in a short time. Whenever I run into a problem, I can count on a fast, thoughtful response and issues are handled promptly and with a friendly attitude. Our clients really like the steady stream of new features and I appreciate that the team listens when I suggest improvements. The integrations with other tools make day-to-day practice management so much easier. Overall I am grateful every day that we decided to switch.
Cons
The cost is a bit on the higher side but honestly I think it's justified given the excellent service and high-quality product. They continuously push updates and actively listen to user feedback which is something I'm more than willing to pay for.

In my experience, charting goes faster here than with other EMRs I've tried. The team actually responds when I give feedback or need help troubleshooting. Plus there are several ways to enter notes and I can create and share smart phrases that speed things up. Billing processes are reliable and efficient. And I can set patient alerts that surface at the front desk or for clinicians. Also the pre-charting tool really helps me get ready for evaluations.
Cons
Occasionally patients tell me the online intake form fails and even when it goes through, I have trouble toggling back and forth to transfer that data into the subjective part of the note so colleagues can easily view it. I've been wanting a setting that would automatically insert intake responses into the subjective section as that would save time and make the information more visible to other clinicians.

The cancellation list is really helpful and the daily notes workflow fits how I work. Plus once I finally get invoicing configured, billing runs smoothly.

Upper management here clearly needs a crash course in how to communicate with upset customers. The sales reps who brought me on were amazing but after I started running into problems it felt like nobody knew how to follow through. Eventually I got a response from the Customer Experience Manager and dealing with him was by far the worst part. You can say dismissive at best and he never called me back despite my repeated requests. So I have had to hire outside consultants for several weeks and spent countless hours on the phone trying to figure out why I'm not receiving ERA. They keep insisting this was an issue in my previous system which is simply not true. The platform also scrambled our insurance accounts so that payments went to us instead of to the clients for those who paid cash which created a mess. That situation has created an overwhelming amount of extra work and stress for me as the owner as I try to reimburse clients and correct the bookkeeping. The people actually doing the support work for Prompt were responsive and made genuine attempts to help, but the scale of the problems was too much for any of them to manage alone. My biggest disappointment is the upper management's apparent unwillingness or inability to make things right. They're offering to release me from my one-year contract now which makes me think they'd prefer to avoid dealing with the problem rather than fix it.

It is missing a strong scoring and functional reporting feature. Even though functional reporting forms are preloaded, physical therapists cannot see the specific questions or scores. It would also be helpful if these were automatically added to discharge and progress visits, and if reporting was built in so we could track our clinic's performance.

At times while I'm documenting and scrolling down a note the screen will suddenly snap back up to the top which is really frustrating. I'd also like a way to insert dot-phrases like .physicaltherapyeval instead of relying solely on templates, so I could quickly add routine bits of information.

“Easy to pick up with automated prompts
Pros
The software is pretty easy to pick up and simple to operate. Also it is visually pleasing without being flashy. What distinguishes it for me are automated compliance prompts which help me speed up creating notes and submitting claims.
Cons
I really wish I could customize what appears in a note, since every therapist has their own approach. Being unable to remove or rearrange fields feels limiting. For instance there are several tiles in each note that I never use and I'd like to be able to delete them so my notes are cleaner. Another helpful feature would be a scheduling alert telling me when a progress note should be booked instead of a standard visit. Currently we might schedule an appointment as a visit, complete the note, then see a red banner saying a progress note is required and have to go back to the calendar to change the visit type.

“Walks through every step clearly
Pros
When I create patient records and enter prescriptions and insurance information, the system walks me through every step in a very clear, well laid out manner that I genuinely appreciate.
Cons
To be honest I have not come across anything particularly concerning so far. As to me, it feels like a solid, very well-made product overall!

“Customer support far superior to others
Pros
In my experience the customer support is far superior to any other EMR vendor I've dealt with. Plus the unlimited training they provide is incredibly helpful when bringing new hires up to speed.
Cons
Documenting requires too many extra clicks which ends up slowing down the workflow.

What I really like is that I can process payments directly inside the system.

It is frustrating that I cannot customize the statements so they include more detailed information when they are sent to patients.

“Easily track key practice metrics
Pros
I can easily keep track of the practice's key metrics. Also I can access information from anywhere including my smartphone which is incredibly useful since I travel frequently. Plus the built in tools like credit card processing and online patient forms are a real bonus and they have dramatically reduced the amount of administrative time I spend.
Cons
There have not been any downsides as the team responds quickly to requests and implements changes fast. Overall we have not experienced major problems and updates are done overnight.

Pros
The back end is highly optimized and the team at Prompt is excellent when it comes to communication.
