“AI time saver”
Pros
Having the AI Sidekick built in has been incredibly helpful. I can dictate all of my notes and it reliably sorts everything into subjective, assessment, objective and plan with very little effort on my part which saves me a lot of time. It even adds details I may not have considered and when I use it to record patient conversations during evaluations, it picks up on things I might otherwise forget to document.
Cons
Overall, it's working really well. The only thing I'd love to see is more expansion of the beta feature. Right now, it's very convenient to record an evaluation for a patient and have items like range of motion and strength for a body part automatically opened. But when I'm doing a reevaluation and want to add a new body part, I can't just mention strength or range of motion for that new area and have it open automatically. It seems like that part is still in development so I don't really see it as a major issue, more like an area they're actively improving.

“Real-time AI notes”
Pros
One thing that really keeps me using it is the AI especially how it helps prevent note cloning. The Sidekick app has also been genuinely helpful. I can dictate from my phone while I'm treating patients which lets me finish my notes in real time instead of saving everything for later. That makes a big difference during busy parts of the day because I'm able to stay focused on patient care and avoid bringing documentation work home. Getting everything set up at the beginning was simple too.
Cons
At the same time, the system has been down three times for a large part of the workday since we switched over in March 2026 and that has been a major disruption. The Sidekick app also tends to glitch a lot especially during patient evaluations which means I sometimes have to record my dictation all over again. There have been times when I recorded full patient conversations during initial evaluations, only to get an error when I tried to process them afterward. That's incredibly frustrating and honestly not something I have time to deal with.

“AI documentation boost”
Pros
One of the biggest benefits for me has been the AI tools especially the auto note feature. I use auto note every day and it really helps align my documentation. Because of that, I can fit charting into my regular schedule much better without needing to set aside a large amount of extra time in most cases. It also keeps up well during heavier workloads which has been a major advantage.
Cons
Every now and then, the auto note feature does not fully pick up what I am saying and I end up seeing strange phrases or misspelled words even when I spoke clearly and slowly. That part could definitely use some improvement. I would also like more scheduling-level flags for important details. Right now, comments can be used but they are not always obvious enough. For instance, if a patient uses the company transportation system, I wish that could appear directly on the schedule instead of being buried in a comment. The appointment color coding may show that it is an initial evaluation but sometimes the patient is also a transportation patient and that can lead to those patients being overlooked on the transportation schedule.

“Smart checkout tools”
Pros
Feature that's been genuinely helpful is the AI/Smart Write tool and the billing support during checkout has also made that part of the process more manageable.
Cons
Getting to basic information takes far too many clicks and there really should be a quick patient dashboard view that shows the key details in one place, like total visits, authorization visit count and expiration date. WebPT handled that much better. It's also hard to track down why patients canceled or to quickly see communication notes because everything requires more clicking than it should. The HEP included in the system feels incomplete as well since it's missing pictures and instructions so I still rely on HEP2GO for patient handouts. I'm also unclear about why there is both an objective box and separate areas for objective findings like ROM, strength and special tests. I'm not sure which one is supposed to be used, whether it matters or if choosing one over the other could affect insights or audit scores.

“SOAP notes made easy”
Pros
Right away, the smart text rewrite for SOAP note documentation and the auto dictation have been really helpful. When I add an exercise to the flowsheet, it also suggests how it should be billed which is a nice bonus. We've also had very few outages compared with our previous EMR system. The initial switch was a bit bumpy but once we got used to it, things became much more manageable.
Cons
One thing I'd still want improved is the search bar when trying to find specific parts of an evaluation since it could be more simple to use. I'd also like to see more resistance options in the flowsheets for exercises because the highest band available is green while my clinic regularly uses blue, black, silver and gold bands as well.

“Tracking and follow-up”
Pros
Keeping up with authorizations is very easy and it also does a really good job helping me stay on top of Plan of Care signatures and overall Plan of Care compliance.
Cons
Not a con but one issue is that it still sends Plan of Care compliance emails to patients even when I've unchecked that option in preferences. We usually turn that off for patients we know are about to be discharged so they don't end up trying to schedule online. It would help if there were a way to make the system stop those emails automatically whenever the last visit is marked as Final appt/Discharge.

“AI dictation win”
Pros
The AI speech-to-text feature has been a huge help. It's cut down the time I spend writing notes and evaluations and I'm no longer stuck doing 3 to 4 hours of paperwork at home every day. Being able to prepare my note template ahead of an evaluation is also really useful.
Cons
One thing that still feels unclear is finding insurance details. In our old system, I could quickly check visit maximums and tell a patient right away if they only had, say, 30 visits for the year. Here, it's harder to tell when someone only has a limited number of visits though I'm not sure if that's due to a company setting or the system itself. Adding new appointments to the schedule also takes several clicks which starts to feel repetitive.

“Review of Prompt EMR”
Pros
Fairly easy to navigate.
Cons
Sadly, the company in which I work for contracted you all out as our EMR provider. It seems as if almost on a weekly basis the server/system is down, for reasons unknown (no-one provides with an explanation), and takes a significant amount of time to be up and running effectively again; this is incredibly frustrating due to the fact that my peers and I are unable to do our jobs and consequently have to play "catch-up" due to such an incompetent system.

“User friendly interface with helpful ai sidekick”
Pros
I've found the interface really user friendly and the built-in tech like the AI sidekick makes things smoother. Plus the support team is super responsive and helpful. The rollout was seamless as their onboarding crew clearly planned every detail. I use this platform every day and my experience has been excellent so far. They also partner with plenty of useful services for integrations, covering things like faxing, merchant processors, RTM capabilities and home exercise program software.
Cons
For a solo small-business owner like me, the onboarding process is incredibly detailed and can feel overwhelming. I also wish the platform offered more mature cash-based billing tools for practices that don't submit insurance claims. Another frustration is the limited merchant processor choice as they currently permit only a single vendor and I'd really prefer having additional payment integration options.

Pros
One of the best parts has been the support team. They're thorough, dependable and consistently accurate with the information they share. It's genuinely refreshing to be able to reach real people who truly care about helping.
Cons
Billing module still isn't its strongest area although I do appreciate that they're continually working on improving it.

“outstanding support”
Pros
This system is incredibly user-friendly making it easy to navigate and keeping task management efficient. I have also received outstanding support from team when handling billing questions, with issues being resolved quickly and effectively. Plus I rely on the online scheduling feature for both new and existing patients which smooths the appointment workflow.
Cons
I think the built-in HEP exercise library prompts need improvement, though I realize integrations like PT Wired can fill that gap.

“way too overpriced with awful support”
Pros
I like several of the features built into Prompt and I find the billing section to be generally simple and easy to navigate without much hassle.
Cons
Honestly I feel it's extremely overpriced for what it delivers. Most useful capabilities are behind add-ons, so I pay a huge amount just to get the basic EMR functionality I need. The customer support has been awful. Multiple people respond to the same email thread, so I rarely get a clear, single answer. Also the responses are slow and I usually find the solution online before they get back to me. It is not very user-friendly overall. Completing notes takes ages and while the AI features work intermittently, they are unreliable enough that they often slow me down. Templates are useful to a point but there is still a lot of unnecessary clicking to assemble each note. Plus the system is glitchy as it randomly logs me out, forcing me to refresh, reopen the tab and hunt down my note. The ERA enrollment instructions I received were wrong and wasted time and I was given incorrect information multiple times about using the billing tab and submitting claims. The platform marks claims as rejected when they aren't, so I waste time chasing non-existent problems. Signed progress notes or POCs do not always get their signed status updated properly, leaving them in the unsigned documents tab. This forces me to fax again if I'm not careful, raising our SRfax costs and irritating providers with duplicate documents. Overall it creates more work for me than it saves.

“Extremely user-friendly”
Pros
Prompt is extremely user-friendly and it has made training new team members much simpler. Plus being web-based, I can access it from anywhere which I like a lot. Moreover the ability to either download full reports or just glance at a quick summary is something I really like. Their support team is also consistently responsive and helpful whenever I ask for new features.
Cons
Occasionally I notice the system lags right after an update is applied. But for the most part any glitches get sorted out pretty quickly.

“Stellar tool for outpatient physical therapy”
Pros
Over the past several years we have relied on Prompt EMR in our outpatient physical therapy clinic and it has been a stellar tool. The interface is also user friendly and offers a lot of customization, which has greatly simplified how we handle documentation and scheduling. Overall the system is faster and easier to use than any other EMR platforms we've tried before.
Cons
After some updates, I have experienced occasional crashes that interrupt workflow. Also the exercise flowsheet used to be one continuous page but now is split across several pages which I find less convenient.

“Easily available and simple to learn”
Pros
One of the things I like most is having Prompt easily available. Also it is very to easy use and being able to access this EMR from anywhere is incredibly convenient. Overall I find the whole system really simple to learn, teach to others and navigate.
Cons
What frustrates me is the sheer number of updates and how frequently the system experiences downtime. However the team is quick to respond and genuinely tries to resolve problems, yet outages and fixes seem to happen more often than I'd like.

Pros
Even though switching over wasn't simple, everyone here has been really pleased with the move from our previous EMR to this one.
