Psyquel is great at what they claim, i.e. the insurance verification claim. The insurance feature is perfect. It is so easy to submit a claim with the least amount of mistakes, saving my time and energy. Moreover, patient management is entirely taken care of by Psyquel at my clinic and it helps since we don’t have assistants with us to do it. The software automates the entire scheduling appointments process and provides you with automatic reminders too. Thus, no more canceled or missed out appointments for me! Having that out of the way, let’s talk about customer support! They are beyond amazing. They promote two-way communication and are always available via call. I really appreciate the call response rate they maintain.
Cons
It has a long list of good features and options available but that makes it overly complicated sometimes and difficult to master. Truth be told, Im not really a fan of computers and IT and it takes me a hard time adapting to applications. I personally have had a tough time getting up to speed and still, I try my best not to deviate from the everyday tasks that I perform on Psyquel. Also, the appointment window that accompanies the insurance breakdown needs to be improved so that it’s more clear to chart the flow of payments from clients and companies.

I appreciate that I can manipulate the data in real-time which makes decision-making easy and accurate. The reporting features are outstanding and I don’t think I have seen more accessible reports anywhere before. I use Psyquel for scheduling tasks and appointments which takes care of 80% of my chores digitally so keeping a log book and even a printer is becoming quickly obsolete for me. Unlike other software that I have been exposed to, Psyquel offers a helpful message board that enhances communication internally and with the clients. Besides, their customer service reps are amazing. They give you a comprehensive lecture on billing management to make you feel like no one can do it better than you.
Cons
It is great that I can manage bills and expenses online with Psyquel, I just have a few suggestions regarding that. There should be a way to activate receiving receipts of checks, in my opinion. Because there have been instances that a certain cheque went missing and we have a pending payment showing on the dashboard. This has happened on both ends as well. It could have been avoided if the system told me that a check was not delivered so that I may have a look as to why and fix it as soon as possible. Hoping to see the upcoming versions of the software.

I appreciate how simple it is to add notes with the handy templates and that any document can be uploaded to complete the case.
Cons
It handles documents very well but lacks the much-needed e-signature feature. It would’ve been great to do everything document related on the same platform instead of switching to Adobe just for signing a claim. Adding to that, the reports could be a bit better in my opinion. It also jumbles up the patient receipts and combines a lot of things which makes it difficult to understand. Treatment plans lack pre-made templates which would cut down a lot of time when dealing with similar cases. It could do with a UI update as it has been the same for years.

I love the text messaging and email features for patient recall appointments. Inputting data is very user-friendly and whenever I have questions about Psyquel, my representative is always quick to respond either by email or with a call back if they cannot answer instantly. If I ever need urgent help, the Psyquel team is always friendly and finds someone to address any concerns. I have been using Psyquel for nearly two years and as a provider office that handles most tasks internally, the software works well for reporting purposes especially through the reporting menu.
Cons
Some billing areas can be tricky to navigate but my representative is always available and provides excellent support. One of the reps has exceptional customer service skills. I did love an easier daily report that shows only payments posted to Psyquel, breaking down Cash, Check, Credit Card, Direct Deposit totals and the Daily Total, without including charges. For reporting, I did also like to have the option to include or exclude specific providers to better focus on particular data.

I find the reports great as PDFs but they need better formatting for Excel. The schedule could be easier to view, especially regarding appointment times. It would be helpful to have a red flag feature to assist both the Psyquel support team and us in identifying and correcting claims that insurance providers haven't processed properly, leading to incorrect EOBs. Additionally, a report indicating whether Psyquel corrected the claim would be useful, especially if it affects our patient record data, such as provider income.
