“Hard at first but great support”
Pros
I've been using Revolution EHR on and off for the past few years. The customer support was super knowledgeable and helpful with getting everything set up. Once we had it customized the way I wanted, the flow became easy and charting was straightforward.
Cons
It's quite difficult to use at start. I still have to reach out to support sometimes when I'm navigating and customizing templates but my rep is always available when I have questions!

“easy patient communication”
Pros
I like the demographic information section and how we integrate with Weave. It makes it easy to send patient reminders and let them know when their products are in. Overall the system is pretty easy to use.
Cons
It is really difficult to make changes in the accounting section. I get lost sometimes with all the different invoices and figuring out how to make corrections when I need to.

Pros
The live chat feature is amazing! The customer support person walked me through exactly how to fix my accounting invoice issue.
Cons
I really wish there was an easy way to see the next available appointment without having to scroll through the whole schedule to find it.

“Great dashboard”
Pros
the patient dashboard is great because I can see everything I need at a glance without having to click through a lot of different pages.
Cons
I love that you can build custom reports but it can be pretty tough to figure out how to do it.

“Amazing support and smooth check-in”
Pros
I just have to say a huge thank you to the support team for guiding me through setting up and learning Revolution for my new practice! My guide was incredibly patient and you can tell she genuinely loves helping her clients get comfortable with a new system. I am so impressed by how much she knows about the software. I'm also a really big fan of the new RevIntake. It's helped us make our patient check-in process super smooth.
Cons
I wish there was a way to email prescriptions directly to patients from the EHR itself.

Pros
The customer service is great. Support was my main contact for all my questions and she was always available to help me out.
Cons
You definitely need to spend some time setting up your exam flow because there are so many options and templates to play with. But once you get it set up just the way you like, it's absolute easy to use.

“outstanding onboarding support”
Pros
I am just finishing up my onboarding sessions with RevEHR and I've been incredibly impressed with all the attention and guidance I've gotten. I was so relieved to find a cloud-based system that works in Canada and handles both the clinical and optical sides of my clinic. A great bonus was how encouraging and supportive they were as I played around with the software to figure out how to use it best. The live Friday sessions were especially helpful, where I could watch them share their screen and show how to do everything from scheduling to billing. Picking software felt overwhelming at first but now I'm totally confident I made the right choice.
Cons
I get that this isn't a problem for most people but in my perfect world, there would be a version just for Canadians. That way, I wouldn't have to ignore all the parts of the software that are only for American providers.

“trustworthy tool”
Pros
What I really appreciate is the integrity of the company. I was able to confidently achieve Meaningful Use because Rev (and later RevAssure) took the time to educate me on how to do everything the right way. Thanks to their thorough training and efforts, I was completely prepared when I got audited.
Cons
It feels a bit cumbersome and not very interactive. The learning curve was definitely challenging for me.

“Works from anywhere with great help”
Pros
I can access it from anywhere and it almost never has any issues. Also the support team has been super helpful, both in setting it up for my current office and for my new one.
Cons
The initial setup was a little tricky to learn but it wasn't too bad. Luckily, the support team walked me through everything and it all worked out fine.

“Efficient with great partnership options”
Pros
I love all the partnership options that can integrate with the software and how easy it is to get them connected. On top of that, patient scheduling, adding insurance and charting are more efficient than any other system I've used. It does take a bit of time upfront to get the admin settings right for your practice but once that's done, you never have to do it again.
Cons
I wish the intake form would automatically update the patient's medical history for us.

“A surprisingly functional system”
Pros
I was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently I could modify the templates for my own exam choices. The refraction template was already so close to how I usually do things which was a nice surprise. I was even more pleased with the health evaluation section and I felt like I could record complete and accurate findings using their templates. I was also impressed with other areas, like contact lens ordering, pre-programmed referrals for my most frequent doctors and the accounting/insurance section. Honestly I can't pick just one thing I liked best. I was really impressed with how functional the whole system is. I was actually surprised by how much I liked Revolution!
Cons
I feel like this software can be adjusted to fit almost any optometry practice. The only real problem I can see is for people switching from paper records to a computer. We all want to see patients on time and it takes a while to get fast and efficient with any new system. You just need to practice with Revolution to build up that speed.

“Smooth scheduling but no e-fax”
Pros
I love how smoothly the scheduling software my office uses (TAB) works with the EHR itself. It's easy to create new patient profiles and change appointments and both systems update in real time.
Cons
I really need to e-fax reports and referrals directly to other offices and the fact that I can't do that is a huge problem for my workflow.

Cons

Pros
It's overall easy to use. Both the optometrist and the assistant like the system. Making appointments, handling registration and ordering glasses is simple. We're just waiting on that equipment integration the sales rep promised us.
Cons
The training was way too long and it took me three months to get through all the videos. Customer support isn't very helpful and the sales and finance teams don't talk to each other. Because of that, my account has been marked as delinquent even when it shouldn't be.
