“Simple to use”
Pros
I think it's great! I love how simple it is to use and I really enjoy the fact that I'm always learning something new.
Cons
I find it harder than it should be to link people together in the system.

“popular but not for medical care”
Pros
I have been using this product for a while. It's pretty popular with a lot of optometrists and it's fairly easy to use.
Cons
I feel like RevolutionEHR is built more for practices that focus on selling glasses and contacts. It's a lot less useful for medical eye care.

“Charged me before i started”
Pros
They charged my account before I even had the system set up and started using it.
Cons
It's terrible. The communication is awful and they aren't informative at all. They charged my account before I even got the system set up and started using it.

“Simple, thorough but shuts down”
Pros
I am a huge fan, it's so positive. I love how it's simple to use but still incredibly thorough at the same time.
Cons
The system shuts down for maintenance more often than I'd like.

“very friendly but too many clicks”
Pros
It is very easy for everyone to use, whether they're new staff, seasoned staff or the optometrists doing the charting and prescribing.
Cons
Everything takes too many clicks and you have to go through too many screens. It also seems to have outages pretty often.

“Reliable one”
Pros
It's a simple, no-fuss EHR that's really easy to use for optometry practices. I'm not sure how it works in bigger settings but it's great for our small four-person clinic, especially for charting, billing and compliance checks.
Cons
I think it would be really helpful to add more e-payment options to the billing portal, especially for crypto payments.

“Exactly what an optometrist needs!”
Pros
I’ve worked as a certified ophthalmologist/optometrist for over 15 years. I signed up for Revolution EHR after reading scores of review accounts on different platforms and decided to take it up about a year ago. Since then, the system has been a breeze. I particularly like the retinal drawing tools included in the software – allow me to custom-fit patients’ lens measurements to the right contact design. Love it!
Cons
I’ve had a confusing encounter, recently, with one of their customer service reps contacted through the official website’s Contact Us page; the individual concerned seemed to suffer from a severe language barrier (because of which my request to sign up for a service add-on had to fall on deaf ears!).

“A total disaster to deal with”
Pros
The software used to be really slow and clunky, though I will say it has gotten better in the last year.
Cons
After I closed my business, Revolution sent me incomplete copies of my own records. They basically forced me to buy their read-only product for $1,600 a year to get everything. It really feels like they left my records incomplete on purpose to make me pay. On top of that, I've been fighting with them for three months just to get my final invoice. I still can't even get them to charge me for the read-only access which I need by the end of the year. This company is a total disaster. I would never, ever do business with them again.

“Not for medical practice at all!!”
Pros
It's just not designed for a medical-based practice. Don't even get me started if you want the whole list of problems, just give me a call.
Cons
It's just poor.

“Its just okay”
Pros
Its been fine for me. I'm mostly used to the software now and I've learned how to handle the constant issues that pop up during the workday.
Cons
I have had quite a few issues. I feel like Rev is so detailed that it ends up being confusing. There are way too many different places in a patient's chart to add notes. Our old system had just one place for notes, which was nice because everything was together. I also don't like that you can only see one day of the schedule at a time instead of the whole week. And you can't even see the whole day without scrolling. The software is really glitchy and I get at least two or three error messages a day that force me to log out and back in. Sometimes it doesn't save the patient's information or their visual acuities. Everything requires a bunch of clicks like ordering glasses or sending prescriptions. When we switched, we were told everything would transfer over but that was completely untrue. I've had to manually import data for over a year which is a huge chore when you're already busy.

“Easy to understand and very loyal”
Pros
It's super easy to understand. We've been using it since day one back in 2013 and we've never even thought about switching. We're also really liking the payment collection feature we use with it now.
Cons
I don't have any complaints. We're super loyal to this product.

“Easy to use but save is annoying”
Pros
For me the best parts are how easy it is to use, that it's cloud-based and all the customized templates.
Cons
It's annoying that you have to click the "arrow" to save instead of just a "save" button that keeps you on the page. An auto-save would be even better!

“Lifesaver during the shutdown”
Pros
It is an awesome one-stop shop. All of our records are in one place and we could even access them during the pandemic shutdown when our offices were closed. Because we could get into the system remotely, we could still help our customers and patients. We never could have done that if we were stuck with paper files in the office.
Cons
There's honestly nothing we don't like about this software.

“Loved the time saving presets”
Pros
I loved all the preset features. There was hardly anything for me to add in and that saved me a ton of time when I was just starting a new office.
Cons
Some of the new HTML formatting in the software is a bit of a nuisance but overall I'm very happy with Rev.

“A bit hard to learn at first”
Pros
I like that multiple employees can use the program at the same time and access different features. Plus, we can store all of a patient's records in one central hub.
Cons
There's just a learning curve to get used to how the program works. It's not hard to learn, though!

“Easy to use and cloud based”
Pros
The ease of use and cloud access just make this a much easier system to work with.
Cons

“simple to learn with great support”
Pros
We looked into several cloud-based software programs and ended up picking Rev because other ODs recommended it. You can start with the basics and then build up your Rev database to fit your needs as you grow. It's really easy and simple to learn and their support team during implementation is a gem!
Cons
It can feel a little intimidating at first with all the videos and training modules. Just hang in there! It gets a lot easier once you start using it every day.

“It just makes perfect sense!”
Pros
It just makes sense. You'd think that would be a given with any modern EHR but it really isn't. The exam flow, the checkboxes, the drop-down menus and the free-type boxes are all right where you'd expect them to be and they aren't cluttering up places they don't need to be. This is especially clear after using other systems.
Cons
Sure, if I were the one designing Rev, I'd probably tweak a thing or two. But honestly I don't have any serious complaints.
