Pros
The desktop has a wellorganized and informative display called Colorful. It has tabs which identify the type and date of the lab and diagnostic making it easy to see. Additionally it includes a list of progress notes with the date and reason for visit highlighted. You can title your notes yourself. It also allows creating templates with letters to specialists progress notes and vignettes that you can easily integrate into the note.
Cons
I have tried using three different EMRs but found them to be nonintuitive and difficult when it comes to finding topics from old progress notes. However with Spring Charts it's possible to title the note with the main issue of the visit and it displays in an easytoread column with the date and title making it simpler to find information from an old encounter.

Easily adapts to specific needs.
Easily adapts to specific needs.
Pros
The display is colorful, containing a wealth of neatly organized information. Tabs on the desktop conveniently show the type and date of labs, as well as diagnostic types. Progress notes are also listed on the desktop with dates and highlights of the visit reason (notes are titled by the user). I can create templates for letters to specialists, progress notes, and vignettes, which integrate seamlessly into the notes.
Cons
Having tried three other EMRs, I found them to be unintuitive and challenging when searching through old progress notes. Spring Charts, however, offers a solution by allowing me to title notes with the main visit issue, neatly arranged by date and title in a column, making it effortless to locate information from previous encounters.

CMS COMPLIANCE
CMS COMPLIANCE
Pros
While this software has been functional for our office for over 20 years, it is not CMS compliant. The company has stated that only a few offices require such software. Therefore, we are in the process of shopping for new software, which we anticipate will be both expensive and time-consuming.
Cons
The EMR is not compliant with CMS, and there's no indication that it ever will be.

Pros
This software is incredibly user-friendly for all age groups. The ability to navigate through the chart quickly is a standout feature.

Support ten years ago was good, went downhill for a long time but is excellent now.
Pros
Currently, the support for this software is excellent. It is server-based, allowing us to keep records even after retirement. The cost is low, especially compared to other applications. Despite evaluating several other applications, we continue to use this one due to its cost-effectiveness and the minimal time required for customization.
Cons
My experience with the patient portal was disappointing, so I no longer use it. It seems designed for Mac users, but the document attachment feature is subpar.

The worst EHR/EMR in regards to upgrades, updates, and customer service. Absolutely horrible and has cost me enormous amount of time and revenue.
The worst EHR/EMR in regards to upgrades, updates, and customer service. Absolutely horrible and has cost me enormous amount of time and revenue.
Pros
Dealing with this company has been extremely frustrating. For example, when colleagues were prepared for the ICD-10 deadline six months prior, Spring Medical was unprepared until the last minute, providing minimal and mostly unspecified codes. I am still performing daily data entry for specified codes due to this. They have not provided any updates for coding or quality measures, and all the work has been on our end. It feels like we are doing their job for them. I am considering legal action because the product has not lived up to its promises, and I am questioning their performance standards despite claims of certification.
Cons
Updates are scarce, support is abysmal, and their knowledge of reporting standards like PQRS, CQM, and MIPS is minimal. Moreover, the system itself is fundamentally flawed. Surprisingly, their costs are higher compared to more reputable companies.

The worst support ever from Spring Medical.
The worst support ever from Spring Medical.
Pros
Writing notes is simple once you have created your own templates.
Cons
Each "upgrade" only introduces more glitches. The medication list function is particularly problematic, with medications appearing and disappearing without any user intervention. The process of adding medications to the chronic list has become needlessly complex. Despite assurances from the CEO in 2015, Spring has failed to address these issues or respond to my inquiries.

Pros
I used to adore this program, and the support was fantastic in the past. However, they no longer acknowledge emails or phone calls. I have rated everything one star because the software is useless without support.
Cons
I reported inaccuracies in prescription recording to the company in February but received no response. After numerous attempts via phone and email, I finally received an email on June 17th blaming me for the problem.
