“Easy to customize
Pros
I love its colorful display as even though it is packed with information but everything is still neatly organized on the desktop. Also the tabs show the type of lab, date and diagnostic details, making it fairly easy for me to see everything right from the desktop. Plus, there's a list of progress notes with dates and a highlight of the reason for the visit (you get to title the note yourself). Another thing I really like is that the system lets me create templates for letters to specialists, progress notes and vignettes I want to add to a note. Making and integrating these templates into the notes is really easy too.
Cons
After trying three other EMRs, I found them pretty non-intuitive and hard to search through old progress notes. But with Spring Charts, it is so much easier. As it allows me to title each note with the main issue of the visit and it shows up by date with the title in a neat, easy-to-read column. This makes it really simple to find information from past encounters. So what does it means? It means I have no complaints.

“Worth the investment
Pros
Chart auditors and providers has proven to be the best guide for me. Also is has some amazing features like scanning directly into the EMR system which has proven to be a gem for my daily practice. Overall it works well for my practice.
Cons
Minimal updates are required from time to time however it is not a serious issue as it never affects my workflow.

“Valuable asset for me
Pros
SpringCharts navigation and interface are extremely user-friendly. The workflow of chart sheets is also quite basic and it also allows us to draw anatomy maps on the chart, which is helpful. Plus, it is very helpful for me when it comes to explaining reports to other practicing doctors.
Cons
I didn't face any difficulties or problems while working on the software.

“Worked fine but is not CMS compliant
Pros
It has worked fine for our office for over 20 years, but one thing I have noticed is that it is not CMS compliant when asked from the company why? They have mentioned that only a few offices need this type of software so making changes is not in their bucket list. Since then, we are now in the process of looking for new software. We have an idea that finding something that meet our needs will be both costly and time-consuming.
Cons
The EMR is not compliant with CMS, and there's no indication that it ever will be. This is the only complaint we have and it is the main reason we are about to switch.

“Great for small practices
Pros
It is really user-friendly and convenient overall. And once I created my own templates, it became simple to write notes. Navigating through charts in different sections is also not a problem.
Cons
Ever since the update, the system tends to freeze a lot, which annoys me. On top of that, getting in touch with customer service is almost impossible. And they sometimes don't call back until two business days later.

“A lot of improvements are needed
Pros
We were impressed by the potential of this software.
Cons
Setting it up is really time-consuming. Also it is not very well executed and lacks some of the more intuitive features I was expecting.

“It was great, then declined
Pros
Currently, the support offered by this software is excellent. It is server-based, allowing us to keep records even after retirement. Plus the cost is low, especially compared to other applications. So even after evaluating several other applications, we continue to use this one due to its cost-effectiveness and the minimal time required for customization.
Cons
I stopped using the patient portal because the experience wasn't great as it was built for a Mac. And the Finder feature is pretty bad when it comes to attaching documents.

“Terrible in every aspect...
Pros
Dealing with this company has been very frustrating. For example, when colleagues were prepared for the ICD-10 deadline six months prior, Spring Medical was unprepared until the last minute, providing minimal and mostly unspecified codes. I am still performing daily data entry for specified codes due to this. They have not provided any updates for coding or quality measures, and all the work has been on our end. It feels like we are doing their job for them. I am considering legal action because the product has not lived up to its promises, and I am questioning its performance standards despite claims of certification.
Cons
Updates are pretty rare and support is also lacking. They don't seem to know much about reporting standards like PQRS, CQM or MIPS, which is frustrating. On top of that, the system itself has some major flaws. Whats even more surprising is that their prices are higher than those of more reputable companies.

“Customer service is poor
Pros
Writing notes is simple with SpringCharts once we have created our own templates.
Cons
Each upgrade brings in more glitches. The medication list function is particularly problematic, with medications appearing and disappearing without any user intervention. Plus the process of adding medications to the chronic list has become complex. Despite assurances from the CEO in 2015, Spring has failed to address these issues or respond to my inquiries.

“Not worth your time and money
Pros
It is easy to use, other than that, there is not anything good about this software. So I will say think twice before making an investment.
Cons
The system feels way too basic and doesn't offer much in terms of functionality. Plus, the fact that its not accessible online is a major con for me.

“Poor experience
Pros
I used to love SpringCharts EHR. Their support was amazing in the past. However, they no longer acknowledge emails or phone calls. I have rated everything one star because the software is useless without support.
Cons
Back in February I reported an issue with inaccurate prescription information and didn't get any response. I followed up again on April 20th, but it wasn't until June 17th that I finally got an email and they blamed me for the problem. During that time, I tried reaching out over a dozen times by phone (where you can only leave a message because no one answers) and through email. In short they made my experience the worst.
