“well-organized layout”
Pros
The system is really easy to use. Everything feels well-organized and I can get things done quickly.
Cons
I've noticed that the functions for iPad could really use some improvement. Sometimes the buttons are slow and the dropdown menus don't respond well. The links are also a bit off and don't always work as expected.

“technical support needs major improvement.”
Pros
It is simple to maintain and user-friendly which makes it a good choice for businesses that don't want to spend too much time on upkeep.
Cons
Getting the right technical support has been a challenge. When I reached out through calls or emails, the responses were either delayed or didn't address my issue directly.

“An intuitive gem with fantastic templates”
Pros
So user friendly and the templates for notes are a nice touch. Everything is laid out in a way that just makes sense.
Cons
I've been having trouble entering a note and then coming back to the same calendar page. It's pretty frustrating to lose my place.

“Support team always available”
Pros
For what you get, the price is pretty fair. It's easy to use and I've had no trouble getting help from the tech support team when needed.
Cons
Setting up divorced parents for one child is a complicated process. The system just isn't designed to handle this well. Document signing can also be tricky when clients need to sign individual forms. Plus, the telehealth feature is only available for clients, not prospects, which I didn't like.

“Cooperative support staff”
Pros
The support team and portal have been super helpful and quick to respond whenever I had any questions.
Cons
It's so-called 'dynamic' forms aren't as dynamic as other systems I've used. It takes forever to create even the simplest form and you can't duplicate questions. You also can't modify the client details tab to fit your practice's needs and you can't send clients documents to sign or view outside of consent forms.

“Perfect for smaller businesses”
Pros
TheraNest is really simple which makes it perfect for small practices like mine. I don't feel overwhelmed by too many features.
Cons
Doesn't seem to work well for practices that need collaboration between different levels of providers like therapists and caseworkers with lower qualifications.

Pros
I absolutely love this product for charting notes! It's really easy to use and just makes the whole process so much smoother.
Cons
So far, I haven't run into any major problems with how easy it is to use. It's been pretty smooth sailing.

“One stop solution for appointment management”
Pros
Having access to my mental health appointments is not a problem anymore. Plus the records and treatment plans all are available in one place which is another plus point. Because it allows me to make telehealth appointments regardless of my mental health status.
Cons
I don't know if it's a con or not but I am uncertain about the total cost that I will have to pay at the end of my trial period.

“Switching to another EHR from this one is a hassle!”
Pros
Theranest software is fairly easy to navigate for the most part and it is the only thing that I like about it.
Cons
If you are not planning to use their clearing house get yourself ready to pay extra charges to them and they will also mess up your EDI and billing. Exiting their system is very challenging, like mine stretched from August to October. Their restrictions force me to pay for an unused system at a high cost. Deleting entries is even worst as it is limited to three per day which results in financial strain. Like for now I am paying for two EHRs.

“Disappointed with the billing process”
Pros
In the beginning like 5 years ago, I really liked the software. They asked me to use integrated billing system and in the back then and I enjoyed using it too as I felt it was saving me time, energy and money. However after sometime a disaster hits. Like I ended up losing thousands of dollars because they took over my system and lost all my bills and when asked no assistance was given to me. All my data is completely gone, and now there is no way to get it back. The only solution that is left for me is to switch to something better.
Cons
Despite promises of integrated billing, the system failed to deliver resulting in substantial lost claims. Plus their support is unresponsive which causes a lot of stress and financial losses.

“Better switch to another program”
Pros
I really like the ease of charting and scheduling with appointment reminders in the start. But the system often experiences downtime for upgrades which causes a lot of frustration and hinder our work.
Cons
Managed billing is not at all beneficial and feels like a scam. And the customer service is non-existent. So if you're a solo provider, I will say better consider alternatives or hiring cheaper assistance.

“Avoid using TheraNest”
Pros
It worked well for a while, but once I started using it for billing, it didn't deliver the way I expected it will. And to add to my ordeal the customer support was unhelpful too.
Cons
The billing tool is not working at all. And the treatment planning tools by Wiley are also useless.

“No major complains if billing tool is improved”
Pros
Theranest works really well for my small private therapy practice. It's quite easy to use and the price is also reasonable. I definitely recommend it.
Cons
Some design aspects, like the main calendar, could be designed better. Plus payment collection process needs improvements too. But overall I found Theranest user-friendly.

Pros

“Simply the best for documentation!”
Pros
I love the flexibility TheraNest offers to change note types and make appointments with comments in the appointment log section. Plus the ability to leave addendums related to existing notes is helpful.
Cons
Data occasionally fails to save properly such as signatures and appointment statuses. Because of this I lost data often.
