Pros

The automatic remittance for Medicare patients is convenient. However the complexity involved in closing accounts as paid for secondary out-of-network insurers could be streamlined.

Excellent, easy to use, and amazing customer service

Pros

Navigating the software is effortless thanks to its intuitive design and helpful shortcuts. Notes and billing processes are straightforward and the customer service is exceptional.

Cons

While theres not a lot that I dislike some improvements would be helpful. Id love to customize the text and timing of email reminders to patients.

Best Company in 42 Years of Work In The Field

Pros

TherapyNotes initially had a solid structure and over the years theyve been responsive to user feedback making systems more user-friendly. While the accounting features require some oversight they do a good job of tracking payments. Interactions with staff via calls and emails have been incredibly helpful and they provide detailed follow-up emails which I incorporate into our manuals.

Cons

Sometimes aligning payments with service dates can be tricky and it doesnt always handle adjustments and taxes clearly so I have a billing person manage it.

Easy!

Pros

Everything related to billing and client management is consolidated in one program.

Cons

I wish there was an easier way to track claims made outside of the program. Also Id like a more proactive reminder system for counselors to complete their notes.

Pros

Once I started using TherapyNotes regularly I found it easy to navigate. However what really stands out is the exceptional customer support.

Cons

I wish I could move appointments by simply dragging the assigned client and time to the new time like I could with my previous system. Its a minor thing but it was convenient.

Pros

It streamlines all tasks from handling new client paperwork to scheduling reminders documentation billing and ERAs. Its all amazing!

Cons

The only thing I dont like about TherapyNotes is the inability to bill secondary claims.

Easy to use, relatively easy to set up, and always great customer service and support

Pros

The interface is intuitive. While theres a learning curve in the beginning once youre familiar with it TherapyNotes is straightforward to use for both psychotherapy and prescribing. Plus the customer support is consistently excellent.

Cons

Learning some of the terminology and finding certain settings was a challenge initially but customer support has always been able to help me through it.

The user interface is intuitive and the software operates swiftly. Progress note templates have made documentation much easier for me. Scheduling is effortless and features like e-signatures and custom forms enhance safety and efficiency. The to-do list keeps me on track with documentation and scheduling.

Cons

I wish there was a feature that allowed multiple people like family clients to access a virtual session (telehealth) from different devices maybe as guests. It can be difficult to fit everyone on the screen comfortably.

How to be your own administrator.

Pros

I appreciate the support I receive from the team whenever I need it. One phone call and my questions are answered. Once youre familiar with it the software is easy to use and billing becomes simple.

Cons

It took some time to get used to the software but Ive been using it for many years now and the cost savings have been amazing.

Ripoff for Solo Practices

Pros

It was easy to set up and once I got used to it I stayed despite the higher cost compared to competitors.

Cons

The pricing is way too high for a small solo practice and theres no flexibility in pricing tiers. Some features are also irrelevant to me. Its frustrating that a therapist with just a few clients pays the same price as one with many more.
