Can adjust feature set based on requirements

Pros

I've found the front and back-end extremely simple to use and I can upgrade or downgrade features based on what my business actually needs so I'm not paying for extras I don't use. There's a helpful library of support videos, tons of neat tools and a solid marketplace, plus AI that assists with crafting product descriptions.

Cons

Unfortunately it won't let me tailor my membership plans exactly how I want them which can be frustrating for my specific setup.

Horrible customer support

Pros

For me the one positive aspect is the interface's visual design and overall look and feel.

Cons

I found their customer support to be terrible and they kept sending me generic responses to my questions.

Helpful appointment reminders

Pros

One of the things I really like is that my clients can pull up all their information without having to contact me directly and the appointment reminders they send out to clients have been a big help in keeping my schedule organized and saving me time.

Cons

I wish the site was more user-friendly when it comes to settings and turning on specific features because figuring out how to enable some options is often confusing and takes more time than it should.

Cuts down on printing costs

Pros

I find the app very easy to use and I enjoy swapping color themes each season so my calendar looks attractive. My clients can book appointments, complete our intake forms and pay online which I really appreciate. That cuts down on printing expenses and eliminates many after-hours calls or texts. It's extremely convenient for them!

Cons

Occasionally I run into a glitch where clients end up booking appointments during time slots that I had intentionally blocked off.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use, how affordable it feels and that it looks visually appealing.

Cons

Everything is pretty basic and there aren't many of the strong features you expect from most booking platforms. I really miss automated text messages to fill last-minute openings and the reporting tools are overly simplistic and practically unusable for my needs.

Comprehensive solution

Pros

For me, it's an all-in-one solution for self-care with a well laid out interface and I find it solid for handling appointments, classes, staff and scheduling.

Cons

I notice the landing page loads a bit slowly and I would really appreciate seeing a small GIF demonstrating each service, even tiny animations would make a big difference.

glitchy software

Pros

It provides a number of useful features that in theory let me calculate staff pay by combining commission-based earnings with flat rates. This capability is particularly valuable for my personal training studio because our trainers earn a percentage on one-on-one sessions while receiving a fixed amount for group classes so being able to configure both pay types in the system is important to me.

Cons

I ran into so many bugs and glitches that the software became really difficult to use. Every one of the three employees I tried to onboard into their payroll system had significant problems that each took more than a week to fix. On top of that, after over two months of trying to get help, their support team still couldn't assist us in successfully processing payroll.

Very unreliable

Pros

At first I figured this would serve as our all-in-one solution. After comparing roughly 15 alternatives I settled on Vagaro, even though it runs a little slower than competitors, has a somewhat clumsy interface and lacks certain features. Ultimately I believed it covered my essential needs for daily operations.

Cons

I'll focus on the biggest problem. The software is wildly unreliable and I just can't put my trust in it. I'm pretty tech-savvy and comfortable with digging into reports. I've exported multiple reports from it that showed wildly incorrect data, including payroll. The gross pay numbers flip every time I refresh the screen. My commission-based staff clock in and out yet their hours don't appear on the payroll export which results in state taxes being underreported and exposes my business to legal and financial risk. Don't waste time contacting customer support as they tend to minimize the issue and insist you're using the system wrong. They promise to file a feature request for you. That promise goes nowhere and it's maddening. I've raised this repeatedly already. As for the UI, the app freezes often and will lock you into a view, forcing a refresh and causing you to lose whatever you had entered. Setup options are very limited so it's only suitable for a very basic salon. If your operations have any complexity, steer clear.
