Cumbersome set up and poor buffering

Pros

The chat function is intuitive and uploading files is a smooth and simple. Screen sharing is very simple as well.

Cons

Users have reported a 15 minute setup process which becomes problematic if they arrive on time for their first appointment instead of early. The platform consistently struggles to adapt to fluctuations in internet quality. This regularly hampers the delivery of quality care and has been mentioned in my patient evaluations. Patients also frequently complain about the inability to connect Bluetooth devices unless they connect the device after launching the app. None of these issues occur with Zoom on the same devices and internet connection.

Great telehealth app!

Pros

What stood out to me about VSee is its user friendly interface and the messaging feature which proved helpful when a client could not immediately join the video call. Downloading the app and creating a profile were effortless.

Cons

One thing I didn't like was that VSee started limiting the number of free sessions per month without any prior notice or clear information on their website. I believe they have updated their website now to provide more clarity.

Great Secure Conferencing

Pros

I can conduct HIPAA compliant calls without having to spend a significant amount of money on the service. Its perfect for one on one sessions.

Cons

Personally, I cannot think of any downsides. The platform meets all my needs. However I am aware that some clients struggle with the connection and switching to a different platform seems to work better. I'm not sure how much of that is due to user error, though.

Gone downhill

Pros

It appears relatively easy for my clients to set up and access on a weekly basis. However for new clients I provide a guide with accompanying screenshots to ensure a smooth experience.

Cons

Since December 2020 the entire system start to have a lot of technical issues. I have experienced recurring problems with connections, voice and video lag despite having a good network, error messages stating the appointment is over after only 15 minutes of a one hour meeting, pixelated video feed despite a good network, weekly emails about system downtime, maintenance patches that worsen the issues and other minor problems that add to my frustration.

Best virtual hospital

Pros

I love the legitimacy I experience while using this software. It allows me to have virtual check ups that feel real. I believe I prefer using this app over physically visiting the clinic.

Cons

I absolutely love it. The user interface is incredibly simple and intuitive.

VSee - Great Online, Enccrypted Video!

Pros

Our school counseling partner, an external company use VSee to set up at home counseling sessions for students and families when necessary. We piloted VSee for meetings with them and it is truly a fantastic tool. The call quality is excellent and the platform is very user friendly. The notable difference between VSee and other platforms like Zoom is the encryption which ensures secure counseling sessions.

Cons

So far I haven't found anything negative to mention about VSee. It has been a reliable way to connect students and families to our counselors and we are grateful for that.

Review of VSEE

Pros

I like it because it was both free and easy to use

Cons

They introduced a cost and I discovered that it was based in the US, which raised privacy and confidentiality concerns for me.

Vsee for in-home therapy

Pros

VSee provides us with a secure and effortless way to video conference with one another boosting confidence in parents that sessions will remain private.

Cons

It can be hard for external users and new employees to grasp how to use it. Adding contacts is not as simples as on other platforms.

Great for HIPPA compliant chat

Pros

Its an easy to use, low bandwidth option for conducting HIPAA compliant medical chats. While virtual calls were occasionally slow the low bandwidth option was mainly beneficial for individuals in remote areas or on mobile medical units.

Cons

The biggest issue is with sound. But overall there aren't many cons. It delivers everything they promised.

COVID-19 Pandemic Disastrous Impact on Clients

Pros

I really loved this software and relied on it daily for my essential telemental health sessions. In the beginning I received a free demo with excellent support from a representative!

Cons

On March 31, 2020 I was unexpectedly blocked from using the free version of VSee. There may have been internet issues but there was no notice or communication about shutting down the free version. The Support Team was unavailable. Considering the crisis we're in, I see clients at minimum fees so paying $49/month is not an option. At the very least, they should have responded to emails or sent out a notice. This lack of support is unacceptable, especially during a national crisis!

Completely unacceptable

Pros

The software and app were useful until a few weeks ago. However accessing customer service has always been difficult

Cons

In recent weeks the platform has been completely useless. Out of the numerous appointments I tried to conduct only 2 were successful.

Thank you VSee!

Pros

The platforms intuitiveness is exceptional. During the COVID-19 crisis our operations swiftly transformed from predominantly office based to almost entirely video based within 48 hours. It was truly remarkable

Cons

Whenever we had questions about how the software works the team provided quick responses. If the existing solution did not fit our specific workflow they adjusted it to create an excellent solution. This is a testament to the great team behind it.

This is the WORST Portal Ever

Pros

Honestly I did not enjoy any feature of the service.

Cons

Initially I was excited about the idea of offering telehealth services to my clients. However after purchasing the software it has turned into a complete nightmare. I cannot reach anyone from Customer Service no one answers the phone and canceling the account requires emailing them. I couldn't get answers to any of my questions. It has been an absolute nightmare. I strongly advise against purchasing this software. It's not worth the headache, and even though it was inexpensive, it's just not worth it. Stay far away.

Worst Experience

Pros

There are no advantages. It is the worst software I have ever come across without any doubts

Cons

The software didn't work for 4 out of 5 of my patients regardless of the platform. And even for the ones it did work for, the connection quality was below par. I ended up switching to Zoom during the session.

Helps to provide mental health and overcome geographical barriers in a secure manner

Pros

What I liked most about VSee was how smoothly it could be set up on my computer as a user. Once installed I had the opportunity to test the video and sound quality before any meetings or calls which boosted my confidence.

Cons

The thing I liked the least about this software is that it frequently experienced lag, accompanied by echoes during conversations. Plugging in headphones sometimes resolved the issue but not always. It was also highly sensitive to bandwidth and froze easily. Thankfully it displays a red indicator when frozen.

Don't Be Misled

Pros

I could not find anything to like about this software. They took my money before I realized how difficult it was to use.

Cons

It was pretty hard to gather information about VSee without signing up first. And to make matters worse, I had to provide my credit card number just for the "opportunity" Once I signed up the setup process was absolutely terrible. The instructions made it seem like I had to input every single client I had and send them an "invitation" for each teletherapy session we scheduled. I immediately canceled and requested a refund. I spent approximately 20 minutes on VSee. They mention upfront that the initial $49 monthly fee is nonrefundable, so I doubt they will refund it. This means I'll have to dispute the charges with my credit union. Unlike many other companies, they don't offer a one-month free trial. I guess they lack confidence in their program.

Very necessary

Pros

This platform allowed me to discuss cases and conduct sessions/supervision while maintaining the assurance that I wouldn't violate any confidentiality laws.

Cons

I never quite figured out how to add others and make calls while using this software. As a result I had to rely on my supervisor to initiate each call.

Brilliant for TeleMedicine Usees

Pros

One aspect I really love about VSee is its ability to operate with low bandwidth. This means I can communicate with my clients even when I am in my office and they are not at home. The software works equally well on mobile devices and desktop PCs providing my clients with flexibility and choice in how they connect.

Cons

There are not many disadvantages I have encountered with VSee but if there is one its that the system doesn't always provide notifications when my clients connect. This means we often have to manually "add" each other to ensure a successful connection.
