“Powerful manufacturing customization”
Pros
Switching from Acumatica was worth it because this system has really helped our production workflow and handles data processing very well. The configurator is a big plus and I especially appreciate how much we can tailor with Application Studio, BPM and BAQ. Being able to make small dashboard updates ourselves instead of submitting a ticket every time is incredibly convenient. The all in one setup and the overall improvements it brought to our manufacturing process have been major advantages.
Cons
A few areas still need work though. It would be much better if quotes included shipping estimates and the interface could definitely be improved. Searching for parts should take fewer clicks because right now it seems more complex than it should. The initial setup was also not very simple.

“Better efficiency overall”
Pros
The biggest benefit has really been the efficiency. There is nothing major beyond that but it does help things run more efficiently.
Cons
Using it has been challenging because it is hard to work with. I also wish it connected more effectively with other systems like Salesforce. We need better, simpler ways to pull data out and interface with other platforms.

“Powerful customization for operations”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages is how well it can be tailored to our business. We're able to customize workflows and screens so they match the way we actually operate, instead of forcing our processes to fit the software. Also it lets us adjust the core system behavior to support our specific business requirements and store custom data which is a very important part of how we use it day to day.
Cons
A feature I still seem is missing is a last changed by field and timestamp on every table. That kind of tracking would be really useful. The other downside was the initial setup which was difficult because it previously ran as E9 and the migration ended up taking more than a year.

“Practical planning that delivers”
Pros
It offers practical features that fit well in our environment. It helps us figure out what to buy, what to make, when to do it and how to stay on top of meeting our customers needs.
Cons
Areas that still need improvement include rental management, service tracking and management along with better automation for scheduling and what-if planning.

“Flexible ERP but costly add-ons”
Pros
Having one reliable source of truth has been a real benefit and it gives us more flexibility than our previous ERP system. Another plus is the level of customization since we're able to adapt it to fit our specific business requirements.
Cons
One thing that's been frustrating is that almost every part of it seems to come as an add-on module which keeps driving up the total cost of ownership without any clear ROI for the customer. On top of that the initial setup was fairly difficult.

“Too many paid modules”
Pros
One part that has been useful is the MRP functionality since it can automatically schedule based on the parameters set. That really helps with planning and scheduling and makes it a helpful tool for running day to day business operations.
Cons
Almost everything useful sits behind an extra charge and it looks like you need to purchase a long list of separate modules just to access features that should already be included. On top of that the initial setup was difficult and far from simple.

“Shipping, inventory control shine”
Pros
The shipping and receiving tools in this system have been really helpful for keeping quantities accurate and staying on top of inventory. Getting everything set up at the beginning was also very easy.
Cons
The billing module still seems like an area that could use some improvement.

“Flexible integrations, easy navigation”
Pros
Navigating through the different areas is very hassle free and that's something I really value. The integrations are also a big plus especially since it integrates well with both our third-party tools and the in-house apps we have built.
Cons
Its reporting and labeling side could definitely be better. SSRS is difficult to work with and I really think it should be replaced with something more user friendly.

“Powerful reporting, strong navigation”
Pros
Right away I find the interface simple to navigate which makes daily tasks much more manageable. I also really value the ability to schedule reports since it saves me a lot of time. After using it for more than 20 years, I can honestly say I prefer it over Oracle and SAP and I'd gladly recommend it to friends and coworkers.
Cons
One thing that still needs improvement is the financial reporting in FP&A which should really offer real time data. Relying on an overnight sync doesn't feel like a modern approach for most businesses.

“Useful dashboards but pricey setup”
Pros
Having all my work-related tasks and information in one system is really helpful. The BAQs and dashboards are something I especially value since data analysis is important for making improvements although I do wish they were a little more user friendly.
Cons
To me the frustrating part is that there are too many different ways to complete the same task in the system which makes training much harder than it should be. It would be much better if there were clearly defined standard methods for handling actions. If there were just one right way to do things, training could be far more simple and probably only needed once. On top of that the cost of paying for every new connection to other software is too high and the initial setup was a terrible experience.

“Better project and quote tracking”
Pros
Keeping up with projects and quotes has been much more manageable with this software. The integration feature is especially valuable because it helps different departments stay connected and communicate better.
Cons
Nothing to point out at this time.

“works really well”
Pros
Having job priorities managed in one place has been really helpful. Setting up priority dispatch for each resource is simple and doesn't take much effort.
Cons
One thing that gets frustrating is moving jobs by operation or resource in the Gantt chart. It would be much better if I could open the job or pull up a resource and update the dates there so I could group similar jobs together without having to rely on the APS module.

“improves efficiency!”
Pros
Its flexibility and customization options have been a real advantage. I am able to improve end-user efficiency by tailoring the interface and creating custom reports that support business intelligence.
Cons
Technical support on the customer side could be stronger and the documentation isn't always accurate.

“very slow, unsupported”
Pros
Honestly the best part is logging out and being done with it.
Cons
Using it is painfully slow especially when I am scheduling application dashboards that's easily the slowest part of the whole process for me. The customer service has been terrible too as even after spending thousands on insights and expert sessions, it still looks like they just want you to go away and submit a ticket which is really frustrating. Then those tickets sit for weeks without any response which makes the whole experience overwhelmingly negative. On top of that the initial setup wasn't done properly so it's hard to say anything positive about usability. Overall it makes my job far less enjoyable.

“perfect fit for manufacturing”
Pros
The flexibility is a big plus and it's built specifically with manufacturing companies in mind which makes it stand out.
Cons
The downside is the bugs along with support taking too long to respond and resolve known issues.

“Good cloud tools, update hassles”
Pros
Being cloud based is a big plus and the mobile access works well. The government cloud option is also valuable and the low-code tools are really strong.
Cons
Its browser-related issues can be frustrating and the updates/upgrades feel unmanaged.

“offer strong support”
Pros
One of the best parts of Epicor Kinetic is how customizable it is. The support has also been very helpful and having access to support groups adds a lot of value when questions come up or we need guidance.
Cons
A few parts of the implementation can be buggy and the MES mostly just opens the ERP so licensing issues can create errors. The licensing for add-on programs also locks you into a three year term without any trial period to confirm whether we would actually use them. On top of that users usually have to click through too many steps for simple tasks and it would be much better if more detail fields and grids could access the Part and JobHead tables.

“all in one operations hub”
Pros
Having everything in one place has been a big plus. I can rely on a single platform to pull up the operational and financial information I need which makes day to day work a lot more convenient. The operations planning feature has also been useful and the initial setup was easy.
Cons
The biggest frustration is the huge number of tabs. I'd rather it work more like a typical website, where one tab leads you through different pages instead.

“quick, easy to access”
Pros
The system is easy to use and it's simple to find what I need. Most things are just a few clicks away which makes day to day use really convenient.
Cons
One thing that stands out is the system speed especially when it comes to generating items which can feel a bit slow at times.
