The modernization of the tech stack has made a big difference in how well we can respond to our customers needs. Upgrade cycles are easy and follow a predictable schedule which makes planning a lot simpler. The Ideas portal has also been a useful way to help prioritize features and actually see them delivered.

Maintenance contract costs are getting too high and that could eventually make us rethink the relationship. Another frustration is their tendency to acquire companies and then make support harder to access by forcing everything through IT support channels. The documentation is better than it used to be but there are still too many situations where you end up needing consulting for something that really should already be covered in the manuals.

At times certain modules or data entry forms get refreshed to newer versions, while the development tools required to support them remain unchanged or take too long to catch up.

Epicor Kinetic comes with a wide range of capabilities and really impressive functionality. The downside on our end is that my company hasn't implemented or used many of those features properly which makes learning and working through the system with the online training tools more difficult than it should be.

At times the system can be slow although I don't think that's actually a softwares issue. It seems more likely tied to our internal server setup. Also it is frustrating that some programs get released before they're fully ready for broader rollout.

The screens are easy to navigate and the search feature makes it simple to find the programs I need.
