Pros

There's a lot of potential in this app and it feels like we have only scratched the surface of what it can do. It gives us plenty of room to expand and it's something we can continue to grow with over time.

Cons

Being on Gov Cloud creates some limitations for us. A number of the newer features being highlighted at Insights aren't available in our environment so we cannot take advantage of everything being shown.

Pros

The interface is amazing and it works especially well for companies dealing with the messy realities of manufacturing. One of the biggest advantages is the strong operational visibility it gives across both production and inventory.

Cons

One challenge is the limited amount of available information and learning resources especially when you're starting completely from zero.

Getting around the system is not a hassle and it's simple to locate what I need.

Printing can be a bit slow and the only adjustment has been learning the new locations for certain features. It's not really a complaint, just something that takes a little time to get used to.

I really like this system. Once everything clicked, it felt very easy to use.

At this point there really isn't anything I dislike since we're only just getting started with it.

Having a cloud based system that can scale as our business grows has been a big advantage and something I really need. It also gives us detailed project management capabilities which have been incredibly useful in day to day work. On top of that the new help feature made the initial setup very simple and I like that it supports adding quality process flows as well.

The shipping side still needs some additional improvements.

The system is easy to use and users have been very willing to adopt new revisions without much resistance.

I'd still like to see more AI driven interactions built directly into the product.

It adapts really well to the way our team works and that flexibility has been one of the biggest advantages for us.

The downside is that we still have to tweak just about everything to get it fully working. Most of the reports are close around 95% done but they still need adjustments before they're actually usable.

The platform is very user friendly and has been a real lifesaver when it comes to managing inventory administration.

One thing that does get frustrating is that it times out a bit too often even while I am still actively using the software.

I find it user friendly, flexible and modern and creating dashboards for users is easy and really useful.

Getting to what you need can take several clicks which is why having dashboards in place feels necessary.

Being able to run MRP through the cloud without relying on a thick client has been a big plus. It saves me from having to deploy a thick client across all my endpoints which makes things much more convenient.

One thing that does come up is the overall performance. The system can be a little sluggish at times and I do notice occasional lag.

There's a lot of flexibility in Epicor Kinetic as a user especially when it comes to building dashboards and BPMs that help organize and organize information across the system. The dashboards make it much faster to pull up critical business details around Sales Kits, BOMs and available quantity on hand which helps confirm whether a product can be sold directly from stock.

Cons

Handling the salvage process after an RMA return has been difficult. Breaking products down into components and getting those parts accurately placed back into inventory is still a problem area. On top of that the initial setup was rough and felt like a real culture shift for the company. We still need more time to get back to the basics internally and bring company expectations back into alignment.

We use it for accounting and the data it provides is clearer and much more organized. I also like how multi-faceted the system is since it covers several needs in one place.

Getting it set up was challenging. I had to work through more than one consultant and the system was buggy during the process.

The automated workflows and data management have been really helpful. Features like forecasting, job creation and MRP make it much more efficient to stay on top of these areas.

One issue I have run into is that the time phase data isn't always accurate and I am still not sure what causes it because the numbers can be skewed at times. The initial setup was also difficult since it required consulting support and a lot of testing to work through software issues.

We rely on it for finance and its capabilities have been very useful for our needs. The third-party partners that extend and improve the overall ERP are also a big plus.

The internal financials could be better.

The customization options and cloud capabilities have been a big plus. Being able to tailor screens and use user created Business Activity Queries (BAQs) really helps organized the workflow.

Certain menus and parts of the functionality still aren't very user friendly.

Its new customization interface has been a big improvement and creating new customizations seems much more manageable now. I am also a big fan of the Functions feature since it cuts down on a lot of BPM conflicts and makes the overall process feel much more organized.

Using it can still feel a little awkward at times. Some screens take too long to load, hang up or don't appear at all which means reloading them several times. There are also cases where the classic form still has to be opened unnecessarily like Engineering Workbench > Express Checkout so you end up getting pushed back into the classic view. Every now and then, a screen will stop loading altogether and just sit there blank, leaving no choice but to cancel and reload. The screens also need to be less laggy when updates or changes are being made.

I must say its customizable features have been really useful for handling our company's inventory and financials more effectively. The interface is user friendly so getting to the data is easy while still keeping the security controls that matter most to us in place. On top of that the integrated solutions and reporting capabilities have been very valuable.

we have been having a hard time with the scheduling module and have been turning to Insights for ideas and support. The initial setup was also difficult.

Pros

It comes with a variety of modules and they're simple and user friendly to work with.

One thing missing is a tree view in the main menu.

We rely on it for sales order management and tracking because it lets us see orders in real time and follow their status from entry all the way through invoicing and shipment. The system is user friendly and I can usually locate what I need without wasting time.

The sales-side reporting can be frustrating because it doesn't include as much detail as I need. On top of that changing the reports to pull the right information is very difficult, if not impossible, unless we pay extra for separate customization through FP&A for example.

Pros

Compared with the older versions, this one offers a lot more functionality and having support for API calls really opens up more possibilities.

Cons

One drawback though is the newer screens. They make customization harder and also add more of a challenge when it comes to training users.
