“Powerful Microsoft ecosystem fit”
Pros
Right away I find it well connected with the rest of the Microsoft stack especially Office 365 and Power BI which gives users a more unified and smooth workflow. It can also be customized and adapted to match the specific needs of an organization instead of forcing every business into the same setup. Another strong point is the use of AI and machine learning which can help improve efficiency and support better decision-making. On top of that Microsoft keeps the solution updated regularly so it continues to stay aligned with newer technologies and industry trends.
Cons
Getting started can be challenging for users who do not already have experience with CRM or ERP platforms since the learning curve can be fairly steep. Some businesses may also see the heavy dependence on Microsoft as a downside especially if they prefer a solution with more independence from a single vendor. Pricing can be another concern, particularly for smaller companies or for businesses that may not need the full range of features included in it.

“has all the Microsoft integration I needed”
Pros
It comes with all the features tied into Outlook and Microsoft Office which makes it really convenient to work within the tools we already use.
Cons
Configuration and syncing are easy to handle and the security side is especially important and reassuring.

“Inventory and accounting powerhouse”
Pros
Managing inventory is much more easeir with this system and it covers the full accounting process from start to finish. It has also cut down the amount of manual effort our team used to spend on the system. Another big advantage is being able to add any number of apps to the business application along with smooth integration with other applications and the Power Platform. It also helps reduce paper usage which is a nice benefit for the business.
Cons
The application performance still has room for improvement. The coding side is also more difficult compared to the previous version of Business Central. On top of that there is no direct access to the backend application through SQL Server which makes things more challenging for legacy users.

“feature rich tool”
Pros
Business Central comes packed with a wide range of features and functions. As accounting software it stands out as one of the best options available on the market.
Cons
Where it really falls apart is the support in South Africa. The partners are incredibly unhelpful and seem to treat Business Central as nothing more than a quick money-making opportunity. They overcharge badly, asking for more than R200k even though after working through the system myself, I can see the setup should not cost more than R10k. Another problem is the lack of accountants in South Africa who actually understand how the software works. I spent months trying to find one and not a single Microsoft partner could point me to an accountant familiar with the system. It feels like the moment a product carries the Microsoft name, partners in South Africa use that as an excuse to rip customers off. On top of that the licensing is also very expensive at around R1200 per user. Compared with Sage One Accounting which is far cheaper and offers quality support, it does not seem like a practical fit for South Africa. It is simply too expensive and there is basically no real support available for it locally.

“costs extra”
Pros
The Office integration makes it possible to send emails and work with others directly and it does provide different options although most of them come with additional charges.
Cons
They should offer businesses the complete version instead of a starter-style package especially since they already charge extra for every add-on we need to use for our own operations.

“Right fit for any business”
Pros
It is a reliable choice, with options that work for all kinds of businesses and the flexibility to scale as much as your company needs.
Cons
It's less user friendly and not as simple to implement as some competing alternatives.

“Modern interface!”
Pros
The interface is modern and very user friendly exactly what you would expect from Microsoft. That makes implementation much easier and also helps users accept the system more quickly. It's an integrated solution as well so accounting, warehouse management and many other functions are all combined in one system.
Cons
Since we are a highly production-focused company a few weaknesses become noticeable in that area. For example the standard version does not include operation-specific scrap tracking and time tracking is almost non-existent.

“Decent cloud ERP for small teams”
Pros
Running a small business with this has been a really good fit. The cloud based setup helps connect different operations which improves overall efficiency and performance. There's also a limited trial version available which is useful before fully committing. The dashboard gives a clear view of key statistics, including profit and loss at any time and the stock management features are very capable.
Cons
Customization is definitely one of the harder parts. It's not simple to tailor the software and the tables can't really be modified. The cloud side also needs improvement because updates take too long and linking operations can be frustrating to manage.

“More accessible, integrable”
Pros
It's now much more accessible and integrates far better than before. The web services add a level of flexibility and dynamism that wasn't available in the past. Overall I think it has improved a lot.
Cons
From a logistics standpoint it still has a lot of room to grow.

“Administration 2.0 done right”
Pros
This really seems like administration 2.0. I had read a lot of negative reviews beforehand but honestly I can't agree with them at all.
Cons
It runs well and is reliable overall. The only issue that comes up from time to time is trouble logging in.

“reliable ERP with room to grow”
Pros
Compared with other systems I have used, there really isn't anything in this product that seems noticeably better than the competing options.
Cons
The biggest gaps are around payment allocation and the missing connection to UK banks. Also it seems limited by the lack of integrated add-ons especially something like payroll.
