Paperless workflow transformation

Pros

We've found this tool to be a complete game-changer for our operation. We transitioned away from a paper-based system that we'd relied on for over 35 years, complete with a magnetic job board, and there was no turning back. Now all part data lives in a single location and the essential details reliably make it out to the shop floor. Our team feels far more confident when we estimate costs and lead times and being able to watch jobs progress through the shop in real time keeps us on schedule.

Cons

Occasionally, our specific workflow doesn't align perfectly with the software, but I do find the Adion support team responsive in helping adapt the system to our needs.

Powerful features with excellent support

Pros

Honestly, this tool has completely changed the way I work. There are so many features in the software that help me carry out my responsibilities and assist others, I couldn't possibly list them all here. In my role as Production Manager, a few capabilities that I rely on every day are time tracking, profit tracking and full traceability. Beyond being an excellent product overall, the support team is outstanding. From the initial implementation through ongoing assistance, they've been fast to respond and have handled issues accurately and professionally.

Cons

Few problems have come up, though I think adding a built-in calendar for scheduling would be useful.

Easy team time collaboration

Pros

After using this program for just over two weeks, I found simpler ways to collaborate with my team to record the hours and minutes for specific projects and I could attach project-specific notes as well.

Cons

Switching between multiple work orders during busy days becomes a real chore, and I find it time-consuming and tedious when I have to log in and out repeatedly.

Cluttered interface needs simplification

Pros

What stood out right away was how easy it was to pick up, with almost no learning curve, and once I started using it, it saved me a lot of time by eliminating paper trails.

Cons

The interface feels a bit cluttered at times, and I struggle to locate certain features, though I recognize this is partly due to the learning curve.

Fast estimates in one app

Pros

this tool is user-friendly and the fact that everything is bundled into a single application, it allows me to produce accurate estimates very quickly.

Cons

Forms could use a nicer layout, and I'd like the ability for customers to build their own custom designs within the app.

Complete workflow management

Pros

Overall, it includes every feature I need to manage the parts workflow from estimating through invoicing, and while it's feature-rich and complex at first, I find it becomes simpler over time and steadily reduces the effort I spend on daily workflow tasks.

Cons

The complexity for newcomers means I would find more training videos helpful to accelerate learning.

Everything organized centrally

Pros

For me, having everything organized in one spot is incredibly helpful, from customer purchase orders and vendor orders to packing slips, work orders and contacts, it's all accessible and I love that.

Cons

Advanced search feels awkward and I've experienced occasions where it failed to locate items I knew existed.

Flexible erp that grows with you

Pros

My favorite thing about this software is how comprehensively it handles everything and then some, giving me confidence that it won't leave gaps in our processes. At the moment our shop doesn't have a dedicated sales team but when we do bring one on board, I know this system will be able to support all their needs. It also manages inspection, shipping, accounting and essentially every task you could possibly encounter on the shop floor which is a huge relief. Even better, if we decide not to use specific features right away, that choice doesn't cripple the shop's day-to-day functionality. I'm especially relieved it's not an all-or-nothing ERP, this means we can grow into its capabilities gradually without killing our throughput during the inevitable learning curve.

Cons

Multi-layer assembly quoting could use refinement, and I'd love the software to handle multi-tiered price breaks for complex assemblies, though routine job shop work runs smoothly in my experience.

Reliable system with clear visibility

Pros

Honestly, this tool comes with a ton of excellent features and I'm extremely satisfied with nearly every aspect of it. What stands out to me the most are its scope, reliability, low IT burden and the clear visibility it provides.

Cons

There really isn't a lot I dislike about it. In my experience the software is ideal for repetitive or production-oriented tasks, yet it doesn't feel as user-friendly for smaller job shop-style projects. We still use it successfully for those types of jobs because we continue to do that work but personally I find it not quite as well suited for them.

Excellent document and inventory control

Pros

I've found this tool does an excellent job capturing and organizing drawings, documents, programs and all other digital aspects of a job, it handles inventory and bills of materials extremely well and I really like how smoothly you can move between its various modules.

Cons

In my experience, the software provides very limited options to customize how it looks on screen or how documents appear when printed which can be frustrating if you need specific visual layouts or branding.

aligned operations with advantage

Pros

From the moment we began using this platform, running our business felt far more aligned and efficient. I believe it's the best ERP/QMS/MES solution available today. the software clearly gives our team a real competitive advantage in everyday operations.

Cons

Being based in Melbourne, Australia, I found some of the terminology in the software a bit unfamiliar but the company's team worked closely with us and did an excellent job to implement the system.

Integrated compliance and savings

Pros

One of the best things for me is that everything is interconnected. I also like that AS9100 is built right into the platform! Switching to digital paperwork has been fantastic and, in my experience, will lead to huge cost savings.

Cons

A clear roadmap or checklist showing the steps to fully populate the system would have helped me immensely, giving a useful bird's-eye overview.

Easy navigation and scalability

Pros

What I appreciate most about this software is how effortlessly I can switch between features. Everything I want to know about a part or a process is typically just a click or two away which saves me time. I also find it impressively scalable, it fits our needs whether we're a tiny team of 3 people or a much larger group of 300 employees.

Cons

Some modules could use polishing in my opinion, as they don't feel as finished as the rest of the system and could benefit from refinement.

Inconsistent task workflows

Pros

Working as a Quality Technician, I really appreciate how easy it is to set up and pull up data. I've relied on it to keep calibration records for more than 1,500 inspection tools, keep tabs on product shelf life, train staff on inspection gear and record their competency and to outline and archive precise inspection procedures. I've been through numerous Customer, ISO and AS audits and because the system is simple and links information so well.

Cons

Multiple ways to accomplish the same tasks can be confusing, especially when some methods trigger autofill while others don't, which I've noticed in daily use.

Pros

For me the layout is logical, the content has real depth, it's massively flexible and it genuinely covers everything. I'm really happy with the software and equally impressed by the support team.

Cons

Getting my head around the huge number of features feels overwhelming at times, and I find the steep learning curve a challenge when aiming to use everything effectively.

Fully paperless real time operations

Pros

There's so much useful information with minimal effort. After I got the hang of how the software pushes data, everyone across the plant has live, up-to-the-minute information. I'm serious, it's essentially paperless! My data is always current, with live scheduling, flawless history tracking and it even doubles as a time clock. I receive real-time updates on where my work stands at every stage of production. Every department in the company relies on interconnected modules that automatically populate information across systems. It includes an internal messaging/mail tool so I can reach anybody instantly. I no longer have to walk all over the facility to get a simple answer. The talented folks at Adion Systems seemed to have anticipated every need... Did I say paperless already? No more travelers getting dirty or lost. I don't worry about whether I have the latest print or any current document anymore. Only the current version is accessible. All the info anyone requires is right at my fingertips. If you're going to capture data, it ought to be accurate and this is about as accurate as it gets. This tool is extremely informative and supports virtually every part of the company. It handles job descriptions, training modules, a complete cutting-tool library and measuring tool calibration. It's awesome!

Cons

Adjusting to a data-driven setup took some time, but I found it absolutely worth the effort as everything runs more smoothly afterward.

Detailed yet practical erp

Pros

What I appreciate most is the level of detail it can store and collect, and the flexibility of not having to complete every field to keep work moving. From my perspective, the team clearly understands hands-on operational tasks, which sets it apart from ERP systems that focus mainly on accounting.

Cons

Not every bug has been fixed, and I notice development moves slowly on issue resolution, help links are often missing or unhelpful.

Pros
