“Incredible support”
Pros
Running the business with this software feels very simple. It handles everything from the initial enquiry through to invoicing and payment in a really user-friendly way. That has made a big difference in the level of customer service we can offer which matters a lot to us. The reporting tools are also very useful for keeping on top of the wider business. There are still parts of the system we have not fully implemented yet and I'm looking forward to getting those set up because they should support us even more. The support team is also excellent, despite only being available by email, they respond quickly, review issues properly and help get things sorted. Plenty of other companies could learn from that.
Cons
I do not have any real complaints about the software or the support. The only minor frustration has been running out of space occasionally but that is already being addressed.

“Top-notch support”
Pros
Across all three of our companies, Pure Heating & Plumbing, Pure Alarms and Pure Electrical, we use Commusoft every day. The system is simple to navigate and the support from the Commusoft team has been excellent. They reply quickly whenever we need help and overall we really love using this system.
Cons
Honestly I can't fault this system. It's simple to use and the level of support has been excellent.

“Loving the new version”
Pros
Upgrading to the latest version of Commusoft has been a really positive move for us. Both our office team and engineers find it very user-friendly and the newer version comes with a lot more functionality that makes day-to-day tasks much faster and more simple. We were initially a little nervous about switching over but the support throughout the whole process has been outstanding. From the calls before and after migration to the training sessions, the team has been fantastic and honestly couldn't have done more for us.
Cons
There's nothing in the new version that we dislike. We're just excited to keep exploring the new features and learning how to make the most of everything especially with the help of such an excellent support team.

“Polished upgrade with powerful options”
Pros
Moving from version 3 to version 4 felt like a huge step forward. Even with all the improvements, it was still familiar enough that getting used to the new system didn't take much effort. The biggest advantage over the old version is definitely the level of customisation and the range of settings available. I remember a rep once telling me that with the old system we were only using about 5% of what Commusoft could actually do and at the time that was hard to believe because any extra features felt hidden or difficult to access. With V4, that really doesn't seem to be the case at all.
Cons
Honestly there's very little I can point to as a real negative. If I had to pick something, I'd say it would be helpful to book an event into the diary before entering all the job details because having to do it the other way round can leave customers waiting. That said I'm still fairly new to the system so it's possible there's already a way to do this and I just haven't come across it yet, as it's still early days.

“Feature-packed and customizable”
Pros
Very user-friendly, packed with plenty of features and the van tracking works really well. It's also highly customizable which makes it fit our workflow nicely.
Cons
The main limitation is that third-party access is restricted to approved providers only. The desktop version also has minimum screen size requirements which can be inconvenient.

“Washed-out colors hurt clarity”
Pros
Nothing specific really stands out to me as a particular strength.
Cons
The engineer diary columns and general text have very washed-out colors which makes everything much harder to read. It feels far less clear than version 3.

“Sage integration is amazing”
Pros
Planning and scheduling feel effortless to manage and the integration with SAGE is a big plus.
Cons
There's honestly not much to dislike, though it would be even better if PDF documents could be added for onsite completion paperwork.

“All job records in one place”
Pros
Having everything tied together in one system is a big plus. I can go back through completed jobs and check who attended, what was done and how long the work took. It's also really useful being able to send estimates, test certificates and invoices directly from the same platform so all the information stays in one place. Keeping before-and-after photos attached to the job is helpful too especially for future reference and record keeping.
Cons
Reporting can be frustrating when you need something specific. For example, it's difficult to pull the exact reports I need from the software, such as the value of estimates won by each estimator.

“Comprehensive system”
Pros
Right from the start the whole system feels user-friendly, comprehensive and really well designed. The built-in hint bubbles walk you through different tasks and the small helpful tools make a real difference in getting the most out of the software and, in turn, your team. Honestly I wouldn't look at another software provider after using this.
Cons
I'm very confident with computers and software so I felt I could have handled the startup and setup process on my own and still gotten a lot out of it. The training is compulsory and you have to pay for it again if you move up to a higher package which is a bit frustrating. That said I do understand why they require it since it helps make sure users get the full value from the system ,)

“Lovely real-time updates”
Pros
Getting around the system is very easy. Real-time updates mean the engineers can immediately see anything added to their jobs. Invoicing is simple and keeping track of sales records is just as convenient.
Cons
Switching from the older system to the newer version came with a bit of a learning curve and it took some time to get used to the new functions.

Pros

“Works well for us”
Pros
Everything about it feels simple to use and it consistently does what we need. There's no need to understand the technical side of it because it just works. It's also very cost effective. In the back office, it gives us much better visibility over job handling and our engineers also find it simple to work with. The connection with our accounting system runs automatically without any effort from us and it keeps working every time.
Cons
It does not always update in real time consistently.

“Wonderful Online booking feature”
Pros
There are so many features in Commusoft that make day-to-day work much easier. I especially love the online booking feature and the online payment system has made things a lot more convenient as well.
Cons
There's a huge amount to learn, though. Unless you're willing to pay for training, you should be ready for a long learning curve, it can take months, if not years, to fully understand and make proper use of all the features Commusoft offers.

“helpful for planning ongoing jobs”
Pros
Getting to customer details and past job records is simple which makes day-to-day work much more organized. It's also really helpful for planning ongoing jobs and having certificates stored securely means they're quick to pull up whenever needed. The technical support is knowledgeable and the knowledge base is a useful resource when questions come up.
Cons
The live vehicle tracking can be a bit glitchy at times and it's not always easy to view user trips clearly. I'd also like to see more flexibility in the text options available for quotes and invoices.

“Recommended!”
Pros
Everything about this system works really well for us, from organizing the diary through to invoicing customers. Being able to keep on top of debtors and run reports to catch missed jobs is a huge help too. It's a fantastic system overall and I'd happily recommend it to anyone.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. It can be a bit slow on older computers since it's such a large system but apart from that, nothing significant.
