DynaSCAPE Use Cases
Based on our analysis of the user feedback platform’s capabilities and common landscaping business workflows, we have identified several scenarios where DynaSCAPE is frequently used:
Landscape Design-Build Companies Managing Estimating Alongside Design Work
Landscape firms that handle both design and project execution often struggle with transferring measurements, material quantities, and labor assumptions between separate design and estimating systems. DynaSCAPE may fit these environments by connecting design workflows with estimating and proposal creation, particularly for teams already using SketchUp during client presentations. This setup reduces repeated data entry when preparing bids for patios, irrigation systems, planting layouts, or outdoor living projects.
Growing Landscaping Businesses Coordinating Multiple Field Crews
As landscaping companies expand, scheduling crews, tracking labor hours, and monitoring project activity across multiple job sites can become difficult to manage through spreadsheets or paper records. DynaSCAPE platform is commonly used by businesses that need office staff and field crews working from the same operational data. Managers can monitor job progress, material usage, and labor reporting without relying on manual end-of-day updates from crews. This type of workflow is particularly useful for maintenance operations and seasonal landscaping businesses handling overlapping service schedules.
Estimating Teams Handling Large Volumes Of Residential Bids
Contractors preparing frequent estimates for residential landscaping projects often need faster ways to maintain pricing consistency across proposals. DynaSCAPE software may work well for estimating teams managing recurring calculations tied to labor rates, supplier pricing, equipment costs, and markup rules. Businesses quoting hardscape installations, planting projects, outdoor lighting, or lawn renovations can maintain standardized pricing structures while still adjusting estimates for property-specific requirements. It reduces pricing discrepancies between estimators working on similar project types.
Multi-Service Landscape Companies Tracking Job Profitability
Companies offering a mix of landscaping, snow removal, irrigation, maintenance, and construction services frequently need better visibility into project profitability across divisions. The software is often adopted by operations managers who want labor costs, material expenses, invoices, and change orders tied back to individual jobs. This allows teams to compare estimated versus actual costs while reviewing which service categories generate stronger margins. Businesses managing long-duration commercial contracts may also use these records when reviewing seasonal budgeting decisions.
Landscape Businesses Managing Change Orders And Project Adjustments Mid-Job
Landscape contractors working on residential or commercial projects often face frequent scope changes once work has begun, especially when clients request adjustments to materials, layouts, or installation details. These changes can create confusion when updates are tracked across emails, paper notes, or separate spreadsheets. DynaSCAPE is commonly used in such situations to keep revised estimates, updated costs, and project modifications tied to the original job record. It helps teams maintain consistency between what was quoted, what was approved, and what is actually delivered on site, particularly in projects where revisions are common during execution.
Is DynaSCAPE Right For You?
DynaSCAPE might be an excellent choice for businesses in the landscape industry due to its comprehensive tools for design, estimating, and business management. It combines estimating scheduling, sales tracking, and project management in a unified platform. Additionally, the software is also PCI DSS, PIPEDA, and CASL compliant, ensuring the security or sensitive user data. The software is also highly scalable to meet the needs of growing organizations.

“Reliable tool for designing
Pros
It is super easy and smooth to use. I got exactly what I needed for quotes and the integration with design software made takeoffs from drawings easy.
Cons
After finishing the quote, there was nothing else. At the time, it was not a complete package and when I reached out, they said they planned to add more features but the development timeline was too long. I needed something faster.

“Dynascape in my workflow
Pros
This is the only software I have really used. I am sure AutoCAD could work for us but switching would be a huge change. It took a little time to get comfortable with it but I am completely happy with it now.
Cons
As a Mac user, I have to run this through Parallels Desktop but saving files is glitchy. I really wish Dynascape had a Mac or cloud version so I could use it on any device.

“Great software for landscape drafting
Pros
Super easy to use! I am really enjoying the new SketchUp overlays.
Cons
I love everything about it! I am not a tech person but I can barely remember hand drafting anymore. This is the only CAD-based landscape software I have used and I am so satisfied that I have never felt the need to look elsewhere.
