Just want your money don’t care if you succeed

Pros

Fixed cost with estimates

Cons

Tried the lmn software out got sold on it at the business builders expo. On boarding takes awhile with scheduled zoom meetings, have it a try for a couple months spent around 4k maybe more. Didn’t like the software it does not fit the way we operate, it’s a glorified estimating software with a calendar and billing. We use QuickBooks and vehicle trackers with a company apple calendar and it’s more affective plus way cheaper than $700/month. Told them I wanted to cancel after 5 months of use and they told me I was obligated to a 1 year contract. I canceled the payments with American Express and that was that… so I thought 8 months later I’m getting harassed and threatened with collections for not paying. And now they are trying to charge my card 2-4 times per day. Beware if you want to try it I don’t know what they offer now but they will want your money even if you’re not happy with the software.

frustrating billing and support

Pros

The platform itself isn't terrible and once you've gone through the training it's fairly simple to use. Other than that I honestly don't have much positive to mention.

Cons

The biggest problems were the cost and customer service. They require you to sign a contract which I didn't see with other companies. I was hesitant to agree but I was talked into it and ended up regretting it after the year was over. Even after my contract ended and I canceled by email with confirmation, I'm still dealing with nearly $800 in fraudulent charges.

Fantastic onboarding and team alignment

Pros

Even though we've only been using SingleOps for a short time the onboarding has been outstanding. From the first phone call to figure out whether it was the right fit for our business to the hands-on training sessions, the whole process has been really well handled. I especially appreciated how clear she was about expectations during every meeting and she always followed up with an email that recapped what we covered and included helpful links in case I needed extra support. She also gave me "homework" before the next session which was honestly very useful. It has really helped improve our overall operations and communication between the office, estimators and crew. I also love that most of us can access the same job and client information all in one place instead of jumping between several different apps.

Cons

Only downside for me is that the overall interface feels a little busy and overwhelming at times although I'm gradually getting more comfortable with it. I also wish there were a better report available for tracking employee time for the bookkeeper.

helpful onboarding and organization

Pros

From the start the one-on-one onboarding and follow-up were really helpful. The system does an excellent job of storing information and keeping everything well organized.

Cons

A few features could still be updated to feel more user-friendly but the team seems to be consistently improving the platform and working to make it as good as possible.

Costly quickbooks sync nightmare

Pros

Honestly there's nothing about this program that works in its favor for me. It's far too expensive for software I can't even use because it refuses to sync with QuickBooks.

Cons

From the beginning it has been nothing but trouble when it comes to syncing with QuickBooks. I've been working with the support team for at least six months and the exact same issue keeps coming back. At this point, I can't even use the software at all. To make things worse, my subscription auto-renewed at the end of June and SingleOps refuses to cancel it until 2026. So I'm basically paying every month for a proverbial paperweight.

awful support and insulting pricing

Pros

Back when I first signed up with SingleOps more than five years ago, it worked really well. But over the past two years, customer service started slipping and in the last year it got much worse. It's become nearly impossible to reach an actual person and you have to dig around just to find a phone number.

Cons

Pricing was fair at the beginning but then it climbed to over $300 a month. I dealt with that increase but two months ago it jumped again to $450. I followed the process and sent a message and the reply I got by email was that she had reviewed my invoices and said, "Lucky you!!!" because I had apparently been getting a 30% discount before and now I wasn't. That response felt really insulting. When I said to cancel, she told me I still had to give 60 days' notice. Lucky me, right? Some customer service.

Quickbooks sync is a mess

Pros

At least the customer support team is helpful when they're actually able to assist.

Cons

The QuickBooks communication and syncing is worst and recurring invoices are not truly automated.. they get generated but you still have to send them manually. You also can't make a standalone invoice since everything has to start as an estimate and then be converted into an invoice. On top of that, the dashboard isn't useful at all. It shows things like how many emails were sent which doesn't matter when I really need to see unpaid invoices and the status of estimates.

quick access and simple updates

Pros

Everything is laid out in a very user-friendly way, with most tools and options only a few clicks away. It's fast to locate what you need and updating files or making changes doesn't take much effort at all.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is the search behavior. After I enter a keyword and open one of the results, going back to the search often clears out the term I originally used, or it sends me back to the top of a results page with 100 items. That makes it annoying to pick up where I left off.

Thorough onboarding

Pros

The onboarding felt very detailed and professional. The platform seemed a little intimidating at first but as we've spent more time with it, it's become clearer and we've really started to see the value it offers.

Cons

Because the system is so powerful.. which is actually one of the reasons we picked it.. there's definitely a bigger learning curve. Our previous software was simpler and appeared to handle more of the setup for us especially with things like connecting QuickBooks and the payment processor although I'm not convinced that was actually better. SingleOps gives you more flexibility but that also means there's more to learn and understand.

Pros

Customer service has been outstanding. Since I'm new to the program, my onboarding specialist and the rest of the team have been incredibly helpful. She really knows the system inside and out.

Pros

SingleOps is simple, budget-friendly and still does a thorough job covering what I need as a small business owner.

Cons

I'd really like to see the invoice design improved. Some other platforms offer a legal-size format with a tear-off section which makes it easier for customers to mail in a check payment while still keeping a copy of the invoice for their records. The notes section could also be better designed.

Pros

Having one central place to communicate with the team and share updates with clients has been really helpful.

scaling with singleops

Pros

After searching for years for a platform that could truly help our landscape design and build company grow, we finally came across SingleOps. We wanted something that could support scaling the business while putting in place the kinds of processes and systems we had already developed internally and this has been the closest fit we've seen. The SingleOps team has been incredible throughout the process. Their patience, attention to detail, follow-through and genuine passion have made a big difference as we transition our business into the software.

Cons

One limitation for us is around our highly detailed in-house installation estimating process. Because of how we structure estimates and the amount of detail we include for every line item, it's hard to picture moving that full layer into SingleOps for our larger design and build projects right now. That said it still feels like something we may be able to explore down the road.

Payment delays and weak support

Pros

It seemed like a really good product at the beginning. There is definitely a learning curve when using it with QuickBooks and if you plan to use their payment portal with Pro Pay, make sure you fully understand the fees tied to it. That said it does offer some very useful features for staying in touch with customers throughout a project and in day-to-day operations.

Cons

Customer support has been terrible. When any issue comes up, you end up digging through a lot of help articles and trying to figure it out on your own. If your customers are paying through SingleOps using Pro Pay and there is a problem with receiving funds, be prepared for a long wait. Our company was on day five without any resolution just trying to get our money released so we could keep the business running. The only responses were a chain of emails from a company that clearly does not have enough staff to handle problems properly. That is a serious concern for anyone running a business. Make sure you do your homework and fully understand how this software works especially when it comes to collecting payments from clients.

Smart workflows and coordination

Pros

Right away, SingleOps felt different from other platforms. The interface is exceptionally well designed and the way it brings departments and tasks together is hard to match. A lot of other systems bury everything under extra layers and constantly force you to hit "save" before you can move on but that hasn't been the case here. The color coding is helpful, the templates cover almost every type of communication we need and the whole setup feels very simple. We were also able to choose the areas that mattered most to our company and build around those priorities through a simple integration process.

Cons

Honestly it's not the lowest-cost option but that wasn't the deciding factor for us. We were focused on getting quality rather than cutting corners especially when it comes to running our business and maintaining the level of service we want to deliver from beginning to end.

all-in-one workflow win

Pros

Having everything in one system has been a huge plus for us. We can build a proposal out in the field, send it to customers right away, use the built-in CRM and then pass that same information along to the field crew so the job gets completed exactly the way it was presented to the customer. Before this, we had to move details from one system into two others which led to mistakes and missing information. With this setup, the process feels much more connected and everyone is working from the same information from beginning to end.

Cons

A few added calendar features would make it even better especially recurring tasks and appointments. Text notifications also are not automated the way emails are and I really wish that functionality were included. I'd also like to see more personalization options in the routing software so routing can happen more the way we need it to. That said it still works overall and we've been able to find ways to make it fit what we want.

real-time scheduling

Pros

Day-to-day operations at my company have been much more organized since we started using SingleOps. We used to rely on carbon-copy estimates and ended up with piles of paperwork everywhere that had to be tracked down and entered into QuickBooks for accounting which turned into a total mess at year-end. With SingleOps, everyone on the team can stay aligned and see updates to work orders and schedules in real time. The attachment feature has also been really useful and I appreciate being able to map the location of each line item.

Cons

Out in the field this tool can be a bit glitchy at times and that definitely gets frustrating. It's especially annoying when you spend an hour putting together a proposal and then it doesn't save. There are still a few issues to iron out, along with some additional options I've suggested that I'm hoping are already in the works for future updates.
