“built for workers with culture measurement
Pros
We went into this looking for a basic EHS tool built with the regular worker in mind. Something that would make our crew's day easier, give them quick access to info and most importantly, actually give them a say in safety since they're the ones on the ground dealing with risks every day. What we ended up with is way bigger than that. Sofvie is the only safety software I've seen that actually lets you measure the culture of your whole organization and honestly, that culture piece is the biggest factor in whether work gets done safely and well.
Cons
We jumped on this thing early so we've been through all the typical early adopter struggles. Finding gaps, dealing with glitches, all of it. But after three years working with the Sofvie team we're about to have 500 employees using this thing every single day so it's been worth it.

“For experts with field input
Pros
You can tell this thing was built by people who actually thought about the person using it. The information coming in comes straight from the field, unfiltered. And the team behind it includes actual health and safety and risk management experts not just a bunch of sales guys trying to push a product. Their customer support people are top notch too, always ready to jump in and help.
Cons
There are modules and features coming out of your ears. Just make sure you have a real plan for rolling it all out. The Sofvie people can actually build that roadmap for you so take advantage of that.

“packed with easy-to-use features
Pros
This software is packed with features that are actually easy to use no matter what kind of business you run. We depend a lot on the health and safety tools and tracking daily production. Pretty much everything can be tweaked to fit you, but honestly the basic templates work fine for us. We don't worry anymore about losing important workplace documents. Stuff flows straight from the field to the office without any hassle. This makes work easier for everybody, from the top down.
Cons
We're happy with what the product does. New clients just need to understand that getting this implemented takes real time and effort. You can't half-ass it. But when you're done, it's totally worth the headache.

“everyone uses it regardless of role
Pros
Every single person in our company has this on their phone or tablet and it actually matters to everyone regardless of their job. There's no role this doesn't apply to.
Cons
You really have to put your whole attention into making this product work. It's not something you can just set up and forget.

“Modern tech kept simple and obvious
Pros
Sofvie lets us use all this modern technology while still keeping things simple and obvious. We kicked things off by just implementing a few processes we were already comfortable with. Since then we've kept adding more features and modules and each one has made a real difference in our employees' daily lives. Even after all that, we've barely scratched the surface of what this thing can actually do.
Cons
We kept asking for all these custom reports to try and understand our data better. Then Sofvie pointed us toward their PowerBI dashboards and oh man we unlocked a whole new world of possibilities. So many more use cases than we ever imagined.

“collects data for pattern spotting
Pros
The stuff this software collects day in and day out is incredibly useful for spotting patterns before they become problems whether we're talking safety issues or equipment damage. I can pull up any random day in the past and see exactly what was going on.
Cons
We run these on tablets out in the mining operation and out there you don't always have wifi or a place to charge. Making sure your device is fully charged before heading underground is now just part of everyone's job. You learn fast.

“works well enough for us
Pros
Looking at logs, crew line-ups and positive shout-outs is so easy in this system. I love that hazards and controls can be attached directly to the daily line-up. We can snap pictures during pre and post equipment checks. Even our JHSC inspection visits happen right in the field now with photos and tasks assigned on the spot.
Cons
A lot of the problems are really user problems, not software problems. But I'll say this, any site using this better have a decent wifi spot somewhere for the tablet to sync up. That's non-negotiable.
