Color-coded projects but missing key functionalities

Pros

I really like how they divide each project with a different color. It just makes everything so much easier to check.

Cons

It's really inconvenient that they removed the feature for storing employee addresses and emergency contacts.

multiplatform access but lacks bulk edit for clock-ins

Pros

The multiplatform integration is a huge plus for me. I can use it on my iPhone, my mac, on Teams, my Windows computer, the web... even Bluetooth! It's everywhere I need it to be.

Cons

We really need a way to fix alot of bad clock-ins all at once. some of my coworkers are terrible at remembering to check in on Calamari and the admins have to go in and correct each one individually. It takes forever.

Team favorite for PTO

Pros

Our whole team has loved using it for PTO requests. It's great for syncing everyone's holiday and PTO calendars. The integration with slack is a lifesaver and it makes responding to requests and asking for time off very easy.

Cons

I have no cons. We like everything about Calamari.

good but could improve

Pros

my favorite thing is that it's available as a web app, a mobile app and it even integrates with MS Teams. I'm never stuck without access.

Cons

The calendar needs an upgrade. I should be able to tell instantly, just by looking what's approved versus what's still waiting or if someone is taking a half-day or a full day. Company holidays should also be obvious without having to hover my mouse over every single date.

all in one solution

Pros

Having all the employee requests in one place, sorted by category, is a game-changer. It keeps everything incredibly organized and finally puts an end to digging through a messy inbox.

Cons

The only thing that would make it perfect is if I could better track the status of each request. Once a time-off request is sent, I'd love a clear way to see exactly where it is in the approval process, like "pending," "approved," or "needs more info."

Interactive app but hard to use

Pros

It is very simple but also highly customizable and their support team has been helpful whenever I've had a question.

Cons

sometimes I find it hard to get around in the app. I know a feature is in there somewhere but it takes me a few tries to actually find what I'm looking for.

easy setup but missing features

Pros

For me, it's very user friendly and it was simple to set up and manage. There was no complicated onboarding process.

Cons

It's frustrating that some features we used to have are now separate and cost extra. also, the workforce management part for tracking breaks and lunches feels a bit basic compared to what other similar apps offer.

Highly adaptable with clear calendar

Pros

There are so many possibilities to adapt it to our specific needs. Plus, the internal calendar on the tool is really good and easy to understand at a quick look.

Cons

It should integrate better with google Calendar, especially for seeing team schedules and setting up part-time workers.

complex multi-country setup

Pros

I find it mostly easy to use but if I'm being honest, the reporting functionality isn't as simple as I wish it could be. It gets the job done but there's room for improvement there.

Cons

It's too difficult to set up the software for employees in different countries.

Slack integration is a lifesaver

Pros

Managing time off used to be such a pain for our small business, all those administrative tasks were driving me crazy. Setting this up was very simple and the Slack integration is fantastic since everyone can request time off, get approvals and see when teammates will be out. The automatic balance updates throughout the year are a lifesaver and I love that it handles the year-end reset without me having to remember anything.

Cons

I can't really think of anything negative to say about it.

Powerful tool but needs polish

Pros

Our HR team relies on this for managing vacations, sick days and employee leave across multiple countries, Serbia, BiH, and Jordan. The online platform is interactive and the per-user pricing works well for our distributed workforce. We use it daily and depend on its data for service invoicing. It's great for tracking entitlements and vacation patterns. Recently integrated it through API automation for monthly invoice generation. Documentation is excellent with clear step-by-step guides, so we rarely need support. When we did reach out, the team was fantastic. Setup was surprisingly quick, had our teams configured in just a few hours.

Cons

The mobile app works but could use some polish. Communication about outages or maintenance could be better though to be fair, we've only had one or two incidents since January 2022 and they were resolved quickly without affecting our daily operations.

Fantastic support, eager for more

Pros

The customer support here is quick and efficient. Agnieszka in particular has been absolutely fantastic and honestly the best support experience I've had with any software. She's always ready to help and somehow finds solutions to every issue, whether it's real or just something I'm imagining :)

Cons

The functionality feels pretty limited right now and there's quite a few features I wish were available but just arent there yet.

Intuitive interface

Best option for leave request for small firms in Poland

Pros

Its user-friendly reasonably priced and complies with Polish regulations.

Cons

Calamari for Office Efficiency

Pros

Calamari provides excellent accessibility for all staff. The ability to request and approve sick days or time off via mobile phone is a fantastic feature.

Cons

Itd be preferable if administrators and HR roles didnt count as seats if they arent being utilized in the system. We solely use it for administrative purposes.
