“Compliance automation with integrations

Pros

Using the Greenhouse/Vanta integration has been a complete game changer for how we stay on top of compliance. We get fast, clear results that are simple to interpret which takes the guesswork out of audits and security checks. It has organized everything and given us so much peace of mind.

Cons

Occasionally the candidate matching automation in Vanta fails and I feel there's little that can be done to fix that.

Their team follows up promptly but often gives suggestions for extra charges on services I don't want.

Promised services in background checks never appeared and I find the repeated push for long-term contracts frustrating especially since contract amendments were ignored.

Completing background checks has been a hassle and I find even high-quality ID submissions are sometimes rejected.

They respond promptly whenever problems arise and I've noticed this is especially helpful when background check results take longer than usual.

Proactive updates are lacking and I noticed the State of Kansas system change and the Fulton, GA cybersecurity attack caused delays without any heads-up.

Background checks are centralized in one portal and I appreciate how it integrates directly with BambooHR's hiring process.

We can't confirm current university enrollment (for example, if an intern is still studying at University A and hasn't graduated yet, I can't verify that through this service). Other than this limitation, we rarely run into problems with the platform. I'm very happy overall.

Compared to other background-check tools I've used this one runs faster, is easier to navigate and I feel much more confident using it.

Haven't come across any problems yet, up to this point the software has been performing excellently for our team and we haven't had any complaints about how it runs.

This tool has proven effective and time-saving and I've seen improvements in support response times over recent months.

There's nothing I really dislike about the product though one enhancement I'd love to see is a quick glance feature to view a candidate's progress. It drives me nuts to have to open a separate window or repeatedly navigate back to the main page whenever I want to check someone else. Personally, I'd prefer having my candidate list anchored to one side with each person's status visible on the other side, similar to how Outlook displays emails so I could scan progress without switching screens. Implementing that would push my efficiency to 100%.

Integration with Paylocity's Recruiting Module works easily and I find the customer support consistently responsive.

I discovered they don't perform background checks on minors so I still have to rely on a separate provider for those screenings.

report, summary and consent documents weren't required to be downloaded separately, I'd prefer a single combined download to simplify and speed up our internal processes.

Results are usually delivered ahead of reports and credit checks. I find this efficiency extremely valuable.

In my experience there's a frustrating lag before we get the authorization or accreditation needed to perform business credit checks because approval must be obtained separately for every state we request, they also require scheduling either a face-to-face or virtual meeting with senior management.

Honestly the interface feels really feasible and I find it very convenient to navigate. Keeping an eye on the status of reports is simple and I get results back quickly that are thorough.

What I like most about this tool is that it integrates directly with my HRIS which makes running background checks fast, feasible and far less of a hassle than before.

When there's a problem getting a report through it often feels like the file disappears somewhere between systems and for me that makes identifying and fixing the error extremely time-consuming and frustrating.

Pros

Checker is incredibly easy to navigate and once a new employee submits their information the background checks come back very quickly. I really appreciate how that speed helps me keep my hiring process moving without unnecessary delays.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any drawbacks at the moment, from my view this tool performs excellently and I find it genuinely great for our needs.
