The mobile function has some bugs, which is why most companies tend to use this software from a PC.

We opted for ClockShark because of how easily employees can access the time clock from their own devices. The app also detects missed punches and records punch locations, making it easier to address discrepancies promptly.

Cons

My employees reported that the app sometimes did not acknowledge punches, but we suspect it has more to do with those employees not allowing access to location and data on their devices.

The person we initially spoke to, [sensitive content hidden], was incredibly responsive during the setup process, requiring only a 15-minute call to get everything up and running. Synchronizing it with ADP took just another 15 minutes. The chat support is exceptionally fast, and the responses have been very helpful.

Cons

I wish this was integrated into ADP rather than being a third-party software. It's surprising that such a large company lacks a function to clock in and out.

It is easy to use and to train staff on.

When I update schedules, Clockshark refreshes and does not return to the area I was working on. I always have to spend time scrolling back to the staff I was updating.

I wish that when I select a project, all the photos could be tied to that specific customer or project in a file that we could easily access.

ClockShark has significantly improved our business efficiency. We schedule employees across multiple job locations, verify their work time and location with the GPS feature, and manage their timesheets online.

I would prefer if the worked time reset at midnight, but I understand they are working on it.

The ability to track and schedule paid time off is a major advantage of this system. Most others in this field haven't incorporated this feature yet. Additionally, tracking employees during their shifts is invaluable.

Although the GPS tracking allows for tracking employees during work shifts, there are many glitches and inconsistencies. For example, it sometimes shows someone leaving the country and returning within an hour, or their position as in the middle of the woods or a nearby lake. In the "Time Off Requests" area, the filtering system used on the dashboard and timesheet screens should be implemented to avoid having to go through pages of prior authorized requests that include former employees who have been deactivated.

It is frustrating that I can not set up time tracking to allocate according to our union pay format, such as premium time after 8 hours of regular work.

Running a small business that's expanding rapidly means I handle everything from scheduling to payroll myself. Tracking all the moving parts daily was becoming overwhelming. This tool has been a lifesaver and it includes everything needed to manage operations effectively and the interface is super easy to use.

Found a couple areas that could use some tweaking to be more user-friendly but honestly it's been great overall! Haven't run into any features that really disappointed me.

“30 Minute Break, or not?

It combines time clock and scheduling functions into one program.

Cons

The annual cost seems a bit expensive to me. The break time calculator is challenging for my business. I would like it to be individualized per employee so I can have the option of how to give the 30-minute paid break.

I am looking for a simpler version of this. I only need basic timekeeping functionality, entered manually at the end of the day.

I wish there was more functionality within the schedule tab, as we use it the most. It would be nice to access all the functions without leaving the tab.

Overall, everything is fantastic. From geofencing to uploading documents for easy access, ClockShark is payroll-friendly and ensures accountability with employee timesheets.

I am frustrated that the system does not round my employees' start times when they clock in early. For example, if they clock in at 6:45 am for a 7 am start, the system should round it to 7 am automatically. Not having this feature costs me thousands of dollars annually, potentially offsetting any savings from switching to ClockShark.

ClockShark's time management and GPS tracking are exceptional for managing employees across multiple locations.

The PTO feature is good but a bit hard to modify. However, it does an excellent job banking PTO earned, especially if you live in a state that legislates PTO programs.

When you remove terminated employees, their time off still appears on the list with everybody else's. They should be completely removed from everywhere.

The time clock function in ClockShark is user-friendly for both admins and users. Adding projects, employees, and making adjustments if mistakes happen (like when someone forgets to clock in or out) is a smooth process. I've found implementing this tool for my team enjoyable.

I would like access to job lists and employee lists without having to contact ClockShark for those reports.
